Definitely sounds like you have a "visitor(s)" in your bedroom! I wouldn't be able to sleep well either!
So, do you think these beings/spirits are communicating with you in your dreams? Is that what's causing the nightmares?

Hope you get some rest soon.
Thanks for continuing to be a loyal fan of my thread. You can post the link to your thread here, if you wish.

Here is another one of my experiences, probably the most mind-boggling of them all...

I had a ring setting that was made from Kentucky coal that my husband gave me (ex-husband now). He said it was one of a kind. About a year after we were divorced I lost the setting in the ring at a local club. Three months later my cousin and I went to a drive-in theater (this was in the mid 1970's). During intermission I went to the bathroom located inside the concession building . As I stood and looked up, there was something black dangling in mid-air in front of my face. I thought at first it was a spider hanging on a web, but then it fell to the concrete floor and made a noise, so I knew whatever it was, it was a solid object. As I knelt over getting a closer look, I realized this was the setting from my ring that I had lost three months prior in a totally different place! It was like it just materialized in front of my eyes, stayed there until I saw it, and fell at my feet. I picked it up and put it in my pocket. When I went back to the car my cousin asked me if I was okay because she said I was pale as a ghost. I told her what happened, and she was speechless! When I got home I placed the setting in my ring, put the ring away in my jewelry case, and I have never taken it out again since that day! Still don't know what to make out of this! Anyone ever experienced anything like this?

No, not like that Sled, as you have read on the other thread.
However, my niece was widowed at a young age.
She and I are about 10 years apart. Her mother, my sister was also killed about a year before her husband.
So she was steeped in tragedy.
I think that such extreme emotional trauma sometimes accompanies these incidents.

She used to tell me about finding half pennies all over the house.
She would walk around talking out loud to her husband or her Mom and find a penny sawn in half lying on a piece of furniture.
This happened several times with no explanation whatsoever.

Well, that's ODD! Pennies cut in half?

Did a penny have any type of significance in her relationship with them? It being cut in the middle has to mean something.

Very strange! Thanks for sharing that, PaperBackWriter, and welcome to my thread.

I hope you enjoy reading all the experiences of the members here, including my own.

That's what I asked. She said, NO. Yes, she said they were always Perfectly cut in half.
I am going through and reading now.

One thing I noticed is that I have come across several people who were four when their first event occured.
So was I.

Your events are very strange, too. I still haven't gotton the ring setting out of my mind.

I don't want to go through and try to tell any in chronological order though, but I will say the first was
a classic Shadow Man. I never knew that other people saw this.

One summer when I was maybe 10 or so I was talking to my cousins and to my absolute horror and astonishment, my cousins started talking about the Shadow Man and how he went into their room and started
moving things around on the dresser and even started to bring scissors and cut a lock of their hair!
See, I had convinced myself that there was no Shadow Man up to that point.
At least he never tried to cut my hair. He never entered my room either but lurked in the doorway.
This was at age 4, and the one I saw wore a fedora and trenchcoat like Dick Tracy or something.
For my cousins, he wore a more flatter hat and cape, more like Zorro. I know it sounds funny now, but,
truly it was my first feelings of terror, and a need to pretend I wasn't seeing it. Before then I was a happy-go-lucky kid.

I had then convinced myself it was something related to my cousins because their Granny lived on a farm where all sorts of weird happenings occured. For instance, we were having a barbeque there and even though she was the other side Granny we always came, too. The lights of the barbeque cast long shadows across the lawn and we started chasing our shadows and then I got a weird feeling about it and then I noticed I stopped but my shadow kept going! I looked around and there was no one behind me or next to me.

Then when I got older I was shocked again to find out the Shadow Man is a well known phenomena.

Thank you. I must say, I'm surprised by how many people posted here about having multiple (or more than one) paranormal experiences. It doesn't surprise me that a lot have, but it is rare to that people open up about such things. I guess it helps when you see a lot of other people telling their stories as well. Sensitives (who have the sixth sense) will undoubtedly have multiple experiences and this makes it particularly hard for us to open up about it, as for many people, the claim of seeing just one ghost one time is difficult to believe. And then of course there are those who’ve live in haunted locales and experienced lots of strange stuff.

Good job.

For some reason I only had a couple of trolls come to this thread, which is a paranormal event in itself! People have a relaxed atmosphere here to share their experiences. That has been a great "blessing" right there! It is good for others to find people they can talk to about these strange things.

Thanks for the compliment. And welcome to my thread. I hope you enjoy reading all the experiences here, and if you have any feedback on any of the posts, please feel free to share.

Here is an experience. When I was in 7th grade around 1977 I had a teacher who seemed to be very young and liberal. (This was in a small town where liberal was not a compliment.)

One day she made every student in the class line up, because she wanted them to try to guess what she was thinking about (using ESP). For some reason, I knew exactly what she was thinking. It wasn't like I was guessing, I just knew for sure that I had the answer. When it was my turn I proudly told her what I knew she was thinking and she seemed very shocked.

I've always wondered if she just pretended that I guessed right or what. Nothing like that has ever happened since. It always seemed weird that I was so confident that I had the right answer. And it didn't seem unnatural that I knew this either.

Okay, this is like on page 10 maybe out of 92. Am I going to have to go forward wondering what your teacher in 7th grade was thinking? Dang it. I hope somebody else asked this upthread! LoL.

I don't remember her ever telling us what the teacher was thinking.

Keep going. Even though there is quite a bit of discussions going on about each post, you will come across some mind-boggling experiences all through the thread. Worth the read, for sure!

It totally is. And that was page 9 and can't believe nobody asked!
Anyway, I am trying to muster up enough to tell the ex-husband stories.

Oy. It's about stuff that started in Haiti when he was in the Navy. I don't want to go into it right now.
But, I'll relate just a weird coincidence again instead.

I had this bf in high school. My first and pretty much only one that was just head over heels.
He invited me over to his house and when we went into the den I had the disconcerting experience
of practically walking into my childhood den 400 miles and 10 years earlier.
The same tongue and groove panelled walls.
The same built-in framed scene of a mountain lake with a big pine tree in the foreground.
Same couch almost to a tee, a brown naugahide with wide button panels.
The same picture in the living room also of a water driven grain mill. It's a fairly common print, I guess.

I didn't go into a whole lot of houses so for all I know back then all houses had the same decor.
But, the stained wood panels with the built in frame with the same huge blown up photograph just
made my head spin, the most.

The Goosebumps surprised me. I watched as they popped up and stayed for awhile - when I felt really nervous and things felt tense. Not sure when I finally fell asleep was late, maybe 5 am for a couple of hours. But made for a long dark night! Even with the light on that feeling was still there and I didn't like it one bit. Whatever it was, I didn't want it there. I actually prayed for the first time in a very long time. It wasn't like my last sleep paralysis experience with the hell hound. But I knew that I wasn't alone.

I think my dreams are trying to tell me something about the house. I was there tonight and was on edge the entire time. Haven't gone into the basement in months. My mum is a pack rat and the house is just jammed full of stuff - I get claustrophobic there and it always makes me edgy. The basement is an awful mess and lots of dark places for things to hide.

WOW! What are the chances of that happening?!!

I don't know what to say to that!

You must have had some kind of traumatic experience there that is trying to surface now.

I don't like basements... period! ANY basement!

The house I grew up in had a basement. Everyone who went down there got a weird feeling, even my mother. To get her to admit that was huge! Something was down there. I could feel it peeping around the oil furnace at me. Mom would send me or my sister down every night to get a can of something stored from the garden, or something from the big freezer to cook for supper. I hated it!

The area I grew up in had a lot of Indian burial grounds. I always wondered if they unknowingly dug up some graves when digging out the basement?
I also wondered if that was the ghost that haunted me every night and day for as long as I lived there.

Sigh.... bad memories!

I really hope you get some peace soon.

To Teye22,

You said you were going to dig deeper and share more experiences.

Throw that shovel down and tell us what you've uncovered so far.

I have been trying hard to "dig" deeper and nothing seems to come to mind other than what i have already posted.

However, I have a few short fresh ones (from the past week or so)...

First:
About a week ago, my yougest son (5), started screaming like crazy for me as I was sound asleep (can't remember the time), I went to his room to find out what was going on and he was sitting in bed under his blanket. I asked him what was wrong and he said that "they" were scaring him. I asked who was? he replied: "those flying things" while pointing directly behind me to the room accross the hallway. He would not calm down until I closed that room's door.. THAT room he talked about happens to be MY quiet room for meditation, Reiki treatments, etc. I have no idea what it was but it sure sacred him considerably.

Second:
My wife was in our bed folding laundry one night last week and as I went upstairs to help her, she called me up a bit on a nervous tone, I got in the room and she said she saw a white mist/smoke kinda thing floating around at the foot of the bed...I didn't see this but She sure as hell did....nothing else happenned for that night.

Last:
Last Friday, after returning home from our Christmas shopping, the wife and I were wrapping gifts in the kitchen. All 3 kids were at the inlaws for the night and all 3 pets were sleeping right next to us on a rug....we started hearing running heavily upstairs....we looked at each other wondering WTF!!!!!!!!

I went upstairs but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Went back and continue wrapping gifts...running again, and again, and again....this lasted for hours on end and was quite loud...all tvs were off and everything....I just didn't bother to go back up and check. All I know for certain, is that it was not our kids or animals and that we were together when we heard it!

a bit freaky but we're used to it by now I guess.

I will keep digging but I think I am running low on annecdotes now!

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for all your contributions to this thread, Teye22.

You've had some awesome experiences, and I appreciate you taking the time to share them with us.

Sounds like a mischievous child spirit running around in your attic.

Have you ever thought about setting up a camera, or doing some EVP sessions? (I may have asked this before. I don't remember. No time to go back through the thread to see.)

Take care.

Interesting thread..makes me feel less 'abnormal'

Yep, I've had a few different experiences too...I've seen/felt/heard spirits. I have had a visit from two space visitors (I think that is who/what they were.. it's one of the things I'd like to discuss soon, probably the main reason I joined this forum). I have had one exceptionally vivid dream that I feel was prophetic.

It has always puzzled me as to why I have had the experiences that I have had...the ole 'why me'.

Right, I'm off to read through this thread, it may take some time though...

Hi Sled,

You are quite welcome! I want to thank you for this great opportunity to share this kind of experiences as
thanks to your thread, we could all do so without being judged and from the comfort of our home (or work).

I have thought about setting up EVP or a camera but I am not equipped for this kind of testing and cannot afford to purchase the equipment,,,,at least not yet
.

This past weekend, I installed laminate flooring for my wife in the basement of our home (my wife runs her daycare there). Of course once done she wanted to take a few snapshots and she did.....

Well, I'll let you all be the judge, here are 2 of the pictures that caught me off guard a bit......do you see what I see?

In this one, as you all can see, it is covered with orbs...I would like to bring your attention
to the 2 small brightest ones on the floor..is it just me or does it look
like they could be moving?

And in this one, just look at the window (left).......enough said

I would like to point out that those pictures were not modified in any way,
the camera was not dirty (or the orbs would be on the same spot in each picture right?)
and you can give me the humidity in the air story if you like but I can tell you that
those 2 shots were taken only a few minutes apart.

There is a group in our area called Paranormal Outaouais that specialise in this kind
of pictures and videos....needless to say that we already emailed them the pictures...
I will post here once I get the reply!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What do yo all think?

Hi, Mindq! Welcome to the thread!

Would you like to share some details of your experiences here, or are you planning on starting your own thread?
We would love for you to share here, if you wish.

As for the ET contacts... Once you reach page 41 a member here named Alfred2012 comes on telling some of his experiences with ET and spiritual communication. He has contributed a lot of information for many pages following page 41, so be sure to check out his stories. Let us know what you think.

There is also a member, DarkBlade71 who seems to have a prophetic gift in his paintings. He's in here somewhere.
And then we have Scribe611 who has channeled some awesome information from Orion!

I hope you leave the lights on while you read the experiences here. They are jaw-dropping! Enjoy!

That's fantastic, Teye22!

Yes, I agree in the first picture the two at the bottom appear to be orbs, while the others could be dust particles.
And, yes, they do appear to be moving.

The one at the window is totally awesome! Great catch!

I look forward to hearing what the paranormal group says about them!

Thanks for sharing those here! Awesome!
