Why so little support for Bachmann?

I am surprised by how little support Bachmann has recieved in the gop. I assumed she would be the natural representative of the Tea Party Patriots. She is the most vocal and uncompromising conservative. She was the only one urging sense in relation to the debt limit deal just before the credit downgrade. I liked how she came out after Geithner and called for his resignation--

“Tonight’s decision by S&P to downgrade our credit rating to AA+ is a historically significant and serious event for the United States. The United States has had a AAA credit rating since 1917. That rating has endured the great depression, World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the terrorist attacks on 9/11. This President has destroyed the credit rating of the United States through his failed economic policies and his inability to control government spending by raising the debt ceiling. “We were warned by all of the credit agencies that a failure to deal with our debt would lead to a downgrade in our credit rating, but instead he submitted a budget that had a $1.5 trillion deficit and then requested a $2.4 trillion blank check. President Obama is destroying the foundations of the U.S. economy one beam at a time. I call on the President to seek the immediate resignation of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and to submit a plan with a list of cuts to balance the budget this year, turn our economy around and put Americans back to work.”

She tells it like it is.

We saw her tear Newt a new #hole in the last debate over Newt’s $1.6 million dollar payment from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. She is a true Tea Party Patriot. Why arent they behind her? Why isnt Palin helping her out? The only slip up seems to be when the msn tried to make her look crazy in relation to her stance on government injections. I dont see her get much attention in the debates. Almost no media attention. Hatchet job media attention on the injections stance. I say if the msn have been unfair to Ron Paul then Bachmann is getting the same treatment.

I have faith that the American people recognize a lunatic when they see one, which is why Palin failed so miserably.

I've tried to listen to what she has to say, and she sounds like she'd like to take America back a hundred years in social terms.

Like a lot of other right-wing Christians, she's on the verge of being a religious fanatic, and no person like that should be in such a position of power.

Oh, and it should also be pointed out that Bush started this in his last term. He was the one to bail out the bankers and end capitalism, not Obama.
It also needs to be stated that Bush was the one who attacked two nations, costing the USA lives and money over a decade.

Like a lot of others, she is very selective in choosing the moments in history that she'd like to criticize. I am by no means a supporter of Obama, and I truly think he has done more to destroy the youths faith in politics and the political process than any leader before him. But people should not let that disdain affect their judgment when selecting someone else to support.

Her stance on gay rights is worrying.

It doesn't affect me as I'm not American, but I truly believe that if this woman gains power most of the basic rights the gay community has fought for in the USA will vanish.

I think you might be right about the women part. Maybe that is why the Tea Party Patriots arent behind her. She seems to stand for what they want.

Because she is absolute, utterly, without a shadow of a doubt,Totally insane and has no idea what Reality is?
Deporting every single immigrant, Costing Trillions?
Banning pornography, One of the largest entertainment industries in America?
Thinks bombing and launching wars promotes peace?

She is Sarah Palin on steroids. I would honestly fear for my safety if she was elected president of the U.S

I actually don't think this is true.
Not too long ago people were saying that only a white man would ever be president.

I think people would be happy to have a female president, but the women who have tried it so far have been religious, right-wing lunatics. They seem to only be there to fill a quota, kind of like saying "see, we're open to women in politics" while everyone knows they won't get that far.

I think if we saw a real contender, someone who connects with the people and doesn't use religion and the constitution as weapons to beat people with, then maybe there would be a chance.

Of course, a lot of people just look at her husband and say "you hate gay people? Really?"
Someone really should sit her down and explain something to her about her big hubby!

Even outside of the moral issues of porn, The decision to Ban porn would totally cripple a lot of the entertainment industry. But I suppose she'd be happy with that.
All the Republican candidates (and democrats, But we're talking republicans here) are backwards. Backwards to the point that I really can't wait till they are not on this Earth any more, And they stop holding back the development of the human race. And this "Woman" is the god-damned gold standard of these people.
Banning porn? Homosexuality is a choice? Banning Abortion? Legitimately thinking Religion is real, and once more, Forcing people to abide by your morals dictated by that mythos? I could literally go on forever with a massive list about how middle to retired age people (Namely, Republicans) are raping this Earth, This generation and the future that they won't be round to see. But I won't. Because it won't make a blind bit of difference

I have zero problem with women in office, but when you have so few women going after the job of presidency and the ones that do run, are in essence "rule with an Iron fist" type of politics, I am not for that.

The Fact is, the women (and 99% of men) that have run for office of presidency seem to care only about themselves and those with their own belief system or the ones who pay their way (aka. lobbyists). Get me a woman who will 100% adhere to the constitution and the bill of rights, and will act as an equal (which is how a president should act) they will have my vote.

Bachmann has proven time and time again that she knows very little about our constitution, and the rights of all Americans. She has had the silver spoon in her mouth for way to long, and does not see what it's like from the working class stand point of view.

For those of you who are Bachmann supporters, please prove to me that she is for the people as a whole and understands the constitution because so far, I don't see her being "for the people" at all.

How much of a boost do you really think the Tea Party Patriots would give her? They're a small group, and the vast majority of Americans in the center are what win elections.
