I was the sun and so were you...

Everything upon the ground and within the earth came out of the sun...

Our rivers, lakes and oceans originated within the sun...

Every person, every living thing that has ever existed and ever will exist, was born out of the sun...

All our water and all our air came from the sun and so did the trees, mountains and clouds...

Plastic, steel and silk came from the sun, wood, styrofoam, glass, rubber and diamonds as well...

All our water and all our food, even fire and snow were created within the sun...

Mercury, venus, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune and pluto are all offsprings of the sun...

You and i were born from the same mother,we call her the sun and she will not live forever...

Someday while growing old,she will expand into a red giant star...

Everything will be engulfed and consumed within her nuclear flames...

All of us will return from where we came...

The fiery womb of the sun will reach out and reclaim her children...

You and i and the earth will exist no more...

I know this is in the philosophy, but technically this holds basis in the physical universe.

We owe our existence to the death of stars and our continuation on the life of ours.

Sorry but that concept burnt out in the 1800s.

Did you like my pun?

And the Universe is the father.

Interesting post.

But maybe we find another planet far away before the day the sun becomes a red giant?

Is the Sun related to other Suns and if not then we're not from the same family and that's why we look different?

hehe don't mind me just going off on one.

Just to be pedantic we're the children of previous stars, not the sun. Our originator has long since gone super nova. Probably a giant blue star as they tend to form and explode fairly rapidly. Maybe even more than one supernova, we might have been "recycled" a number of times. Far out !

Don't forget the moon.

3) And things have been from this primal substance through a single act. How wonderful is this work! It is the main (principle) of the world and is its maintainer.
4) Its father is the sun and its mother the moon; the
5) wind has borne it in its body, and the earth has nourished it.
6) the father of talismen and the protector of miracles
6a) whose powers are perfect, and whose lights are confirmed,
7) a fire that becomes earth.

I doubt i could ever think of four simple words, when joined together, that could possibly be more humbling, more profound and more truthful than...I Was The Sun...

Except the water was seeded from cometary debris, and didn't come from the sun. Don't get me wrong, I like the sun very much too!

I thought it went up in smoke back in the 1700's?

The earth will exist no more,it will be gone forever...Think about that...

Im no expert but what makes up water...H2O....and they are hydrogen and oxygen atoms...That came from the sun...

I think that the atomic ratio of comet water and earth water has been tested and compared, guess what? they are not the same, they dont match up...

Yep the cycle of life and death are intertwined and never ending. Stars are at the epitome of this cycle creating the building blocks of life and matter from their demise as well as taking any life within its deathbed.

My mother was of the sky.
My father was of the Earth.
But I am of the universe,
And you know what it's worth.

This is why i 100% agree with spending money on space exploration...We will have to leave the earth someday, for someday the earth will be literally swallowed by the sun...

Coming from a purely grammatical appraisal of a title...'I was the sun'...

...the past tense, on this example suggests a feeling of separation from source...

This would explain the interesting but depressing timbre of your threads...

Other than that...nice post.

My mother didn't tell me that I came from the Sun. She told me I arrived via a large stork, roughly around 2pm on June 22, 1986...And I am not supposed to argue with my mother. Like that logic? I am pretty sure that we didn't come from the Sun. We came from a star, although we could never prove exactly which one, because it probably isn't there anymore.

The Sun, in my view at least, refers simply and only to the largest celestial body in our central solar system, which, according to the old teachings of the Catholic Church, rotates around the Earth every 360 days.

Hi...I was the sun, meaning every atom in my body came out of the sun and some day every atom that is my body now will return into the sun and nothing will stop that from happening...

A lot of the atoms of which you are composed may have come from the Sun but a lot of them don't. Those ones, like the ones that did come from the Sun, originated long before the Sun existed. The planets did not form from the Sun, they were created from the same cloud of dust and gas from which the Sun condensed.

I know what you meant...thanx

...but, equal to or greater than the sum of its parts?
On paper...you still are the sun...
