Many of you know that my wife and I are bakers and I have posted a thread here that got a lot of feed back on survival breads, ovens, some Gluten Free stuff, etc. Thanks to those that contributed BTW.
This Bread recipe could be the difference between starving/eating in the times ahead

Anyway, just wanted to update as to what we are doing now. We sold the bakery in the spring and hit the road! Took the summer, traveled from the East Coast of Canada to the West Coast looking for our next adventure. Well, we found it and it's a whopper!

We found an old Chinese Food restaurant that had been closed for about 6 Months and thought to ourselves "Well, this is something we haven't tried" ...so we went for it.

Not being the type to just settle in and do one thing, we added Pizza AND our favorite bakery items to the list.

So now we have a Chinese/Pizza/Bakery joint. Take-Out only. Delivery comes later.

It's being received well and people are amazed that we would even try it. Secretly, we are amazed as well...

We will be adding Mexican in a few Months as well.

We have a generic name for now but I thought I'd ask the kind folks here on ATS as to what YOU would call it? Got a name, marketing plan, slogan etc? Let's have it!

Thanks in advance for turning on the Gray Matter for us.

BTW, I was thinking Riccardo, Pedro & Ho...but my wife is against it. Wonder why? lol

Peace

That's priceless man! hahaha

I was thinking "The Melting Pot", as your restaurant sounds like it displays the same diversity that earned America that appellation. Depending on how liberal-minded your demographic seems, you may consider using a slogan like: "Celebrating Diversity Through Cuisine." or something along those lines.
Your idea was better though.

Personally, I would stop to eat at a place called "(The) Munchies"
..but I would only call it that if you wanted to market to that demographic (they are a hungry bunch though!!)

Or anything with a slogan of "You crave it, we make it"

Or..

Well the only real advice I can suggest is put REALLY good pictures of your food on however you advertise (if you do)... somehow that always makes the place look more appealing.

Good Luck!

Sorry but there is a restaurant chain that exists (at least here on the east coast) that's called "The Melting Pot" ... it's a fondue restaurant.

I think "Eclectic Cafe" has a nice ring to it.
Might sound too fancy though.
How about "Journeymans". Kinda has a blue collar sense.
Or if you arn't worried about being too PC use "Borderhoppers"

What comes to mind is "World Tastes". Kind of lends itself to a logo and such.

Good Luck!!!

What about World of Food? Or Food World? Simple, effective, matches your menu already. I myself am a fan of the foreign kitchen and avoid McDonalds for the plague it is.

I like it but...I'm an off-the-wall kind of person and that is a little too 'straight' for me.

But having said that, maybe something like '3 Countries in a Bowl' ?

Just thinking...

Thanks!

I like it as well.

Makes me think of "This, That, and The Other Thing"

Thanks

I like 'BorderHoppers' and I'm not too PC. We gotta have a sense of humor sometimes. But my customers could be upset so...

Nice one tho.

Thanks

That is ok but lends itself to a food court I would think. We are on the highway in the Mountains so it wouldn't fit IMO.

Thanks tho.

I'd call it Medley's. Or something to that affect. I'd use the humor in the slogan.
