Maybe you should ask this on a Masonic forum?
They can propably provide the answer much better then we.

Thats if you ment your 1st degree in a Masonry Order at least, else care to explain what 1st degree your talking about?

It all depends on your lodge. I would ask them if I were you.

We have to wear formal suits or tuxedos at my lodge. But, many are not that strict.

Anyways, congrats!

Dude, you need to talk to your proposer.
It's important that you get in contact with him and ask him what is required of you on the night. You will probably be expected to answer a toast too, so you need to find out.

I have to admit, that I find it lax of your proposer not to have even informed you of what you should wear.

Something "Goat Proof"
. Actually Leveller is correct, your proposer (sponsor, first line signer, or the Secretary of the Lodge) should have told you of any specific requirements of you, on the night of your Initiation. AK is also correct, you cant go wrong with a suit, a dark one will work even if they wear tuxedos, as some Lodges still do (ah, the good old days, I still travel with my tuxedo, just in case).

You propably should have phrased your statement in terms of yourself, rather than the membership of this board, and more specifically this forum. The Brethren here assembled have been responding to ANTONIO's inquiries during his journey towards Light, and are quite competent to field this, and any other question regarding a Masonry Order. Unless you ment something else

At this point, why would you NOT know what to wear ???

I was told my first day at the open house what proper lodge attire is.
