Are you Sheeple?

Here is my problem

The recent riots in the UK are timely for the conservatives amongst us....

What have the riots done in general? They've made people call for harsher police preventatives....

People that weren't of a Conservative bent are now calling for very conservative punitive measures.....

For example... people that were on the fence about armed police are now calling for it...... Many of my friends are now calling for water canons.... these are people that had never even thought like this before....

People THINK that they are railing against the authorities but in reality they are just doing what the authorities want............

WHO WINS HERE?? THE CONSERVATIVES... Well thats nice and timely isnt it?????

I'm not exactly follwing here....

You are asking if we are sheeple, but are not setting guidelines as to what yu beieve the sheeple to be. Are you suggesting that those in the UK who are calling for conservative measures are indeed sheeple? or are you asking if the members here are sheeple in their own opinions?

My question though in response is what is your definition of sheeple? I have never really given the term that much respect, but in this case I am willing to give it some worth.

What Im very badly trying to say is as you say....... 'those in the UK who are calling for conservative measures are indeed sheeples'

the reason being is that the end result of the Riots and the calls for extra punitive responses are Conservative in nature and therefore EXACTLY what the current government would want.

The average person has three active control loci or 'selves' or identiies each with their own value systems and 'currencies'

ie Biological social or intellectual.

Sheep are herd animals where conformiity is the order of the day - the majority are allways right (by definition).

The 'looters' are biologically driven, ie might is right, the law of the jungle - usually known as, just plain criminals!

Outraged citizens are 'social' or 'civil' people - whose tendency is to naturally close ranks and band together - recognising instinctively that to control biological people you need to use 'biological methods' and use biological currency ie force and violence.

Intellectualls a large segement of whom (progressives liberals etc) are at war for control of society against the sheeple - ie it is they who should determine everything about society rather than the traditional values and customs of ordinary people. These are cheerleading the criminals as they further batter down and destroy what remains of the social fabric - they naturaly call for more sensitivity training for the police and general population.

As typical on ATS, this thread is a result of incomplete thinking.

You believe there is only one type of sheeple, people that follow the official line put forth by authorities?

What about the stupid yarbs that run amok in packs and trash the personal and business property of others because they are angry at something or another?

By far, this latter type has far less justification for their actions that those that would arm police or bring out the water cannon.

All forms of government are faulty in one way or another. Anarchy seems a bit more flawed in that it is destructive rather than constructive. So the rioters are more sheeple-like to their own "cause" than those that would have them arrested for breaking normal, common civil laws, don't you think?

They're not sheeple if they wanna see justice done to those idiots who rioted, looted and set fires to homes and businesses, sometimes while there were still people inside the buildings.

Plus the public were wondering about the water cannons and why they're not in use days before the government brought it up and even when they did, they refused to brin water cannons in because "we will never resort to that tactic, we're civilised" (which upset the people in Northern Ireland who see water cannons any time a riot or other grouping of people gets too violent for the usual crowd control police force).

We also have a 50/50 split with some of the public and politicians calling for the parents of those underage kids who rioted to be evicted from their homes and the other half of public and politicians saying it shouldn't happen in case it causes even more trouble.

Nothing remotely "sheeple" or "government led" there at all.

Good question, look at the consequences of S11 , the way personal freedoms were snatched away and everyone consented or didn't protest too much.

Radical transformation into Police states requires radical events.

How many of those looters could have been intelligence OPs?

Would we know?

They don't have to be graet actors, some of the looters talked like stereotypical thickheads, so they just had to do method mimimickery..

Do you have a facebook account? I am seeing an awful lot of people calling for harsher punitive measures.... this sort of 'cry' only goes up when something like the london riots happens.....

The people that are calling for the harsher punishments are gathering support... I actually found myself becoming an advocate of the stocks yesterday!!!

People are clamouring for harsher punitive measures to tackle the rioters and the more people that join in the clamour the more that follow...... hence they become sheeples..... They arent using their own brains to follow things through to their logical conclusions.....

If science can't take you to the top then what is in the systems for any one
except the controllers. Consider entertainment and copyright laws preventing
the free use of one's ownership on the net yet youtube can post videos all
they want and others claiming free use. Institutionalized marketing makes sure
a new medium takes over every 20 years to insure a new market.
There is no market for power off the grid so there is no independence.
We have not landed on Earth yet.

I am simply saying that people are commonly operating from one of three control systems, biological, social or intellectual.

Those whose primary control/motivation sytem is biological (criminals) - need to be controlled by 'biological' methods ie force! - (basically a good beating on the spot!) - or shot on sight in extreme cases.

Trouble is the intellectual elite are at war with the socialised masses for control of society - and they find it expedient to pretend to sympathise witht he criminal classes and facilitate their assault on the social fabric.

Much like they pretend to tolerate the women hating, gay hating, atheist hating, ultra conservative Muslims - simply because they can use them to assault the hegemony of existing social values.

I don't think some of us are sheeple.

I think what's happening is we are being bombarded by the presenters on tv and papers telling us that we are ALL calling for arming the police, water canons, more police on the ground, tougher sentences. I suspect though its a minority of people who want most of that because those I have spoken to although shocked and cross, they have noted its stopped and we are not facing anarchy are shocked at the sentences being passed on, especially to the tweeters and the bottle of water nicker.

Certainly the emails read out follow precisely what Cameron is telling us, but how do we know how many emails are received and what they say again its the tv presenters who all seem to rock to the same government agenda.

What surprised me was the initial slowness of the police which I suspect was to do with bad relations between No 10 and scotland yard. Usually that lot would have been out, trunctions and tazars crackling - which would have prevented a lot of the arson and looting. Our police aren't slow in coming out with their batons.

I suspect that episode has both bothered Cameron and also played right into his hands. A lot of money has been invested by the rich in the olympics and they stand to make huge profits providing rioting and security in this country is not a problem. In comes Cameron with new legistlation just to oil the wheels for the profit wagon .

Ive been shocked at the harsh punitive measurements some of my friends have been advocating.... I dont think that the riots have greatly harmed the conservatives cause....
