I have been following This Thread, and have decided that it is time to play from the moochers play book. I challenge all of the working people on ATS to just drop out. Quit your job and go on welfare, or any/every other public assistance program for which you can qualify. Let's "break the system". First, they lose our tax money, then second they have a lot more people collecting welfare, food stamps, etc.... Don't forget to apply for your free, government supplied cell phone also.

Why should we support everybody else? Drop out! I was going to leave my job in October, but I think I am going to get them to lay me off now instead. I am over it all. Might as well get all that "free money" everybody keeps talking about. The sooner these socialists run out of other people's money, the better for us all.

It is really our only remaining non-violent option. We have to bring the coming crash to a head quickly so we can get started on some real fixes for our very real problems.

I understand, I have an ex-wife and two kids. My kids are the reason I am doing this. Look at the debt we are leaving them. How is that fair to them? Seriously. Hard times now versus a lifetime of indentured servitude trying to pay off an unimaginable sum. Talk about the labors of Sisyphus! Can we really condemn our children and grandchildren to lives like that? How can you people look yourselves in the mirror when you know what you are doing to your own children and grandchildren?

If I were you, I would get out of the city as soon as possible. The system is going to crash, I just want to hurry it along.

what if it doesn't?

don't you owe it to your kids to provide the best possible upbringing?

(which regardless of how much you disagree with today's policies is still going to need money and more importantly a good example)

Man i know it's hard getting work, or even thinking about going back to work once you've been out a while, but i can't see your kids benefiting from it until the collapse actually happens....

think of all the spare gold you could be buying if you still had some fiat cash... then you'd be rich when(if) the collapse comes

The idea is appealing, but then, they would ( by "they" I mean TPTB ) drop you like dead flies and Africa would from then on be spelled A-M-E-R-I-C-A...

When people will realize that EVERYTHING we use come from matter that was freely given by nature, people will see that with today's knowledge and technologies we could give everything to everyone needing whatever.

Instead of destroying food items ( and then accuse the inability of the Earth to sustain everyone ) to keep the prices at a given high, we could distribute it.

When you pay an amount for a service or a product, it is all subjective mambo-jambo.

When you listen to the Beatles At the BBC album, you can hear some pieces that were never publicly released before because they were pieces recorded "at home". They were poor.

Now, try and make sir paul write a song for you freely. He won't, because his time is worth much. And yet, before selling you his new tune, he had to write it freely, no? Same as when he was beginning.

Same goes for everything.

Let's drop money, instead.

PS: Sorry, gotta leave already! Will read you all tonite!

Again? Really!? Right out of the Cloward and Piven playbook. Do you realize the misery that you would unleash by doing this?

There would be blood in the streets in no time, and then you would be seeing martial law, FEMA camps as the prison system would be overcrowded, people with various medical afflications dying as the system continued to break down, etc.

Something tells me that you're young and have not really thought this through.

You can still work and not feed the ``moochers``. Just don't pay taxes.

Quiting your job is a bad idea.

Yes. A nation wide moratorium on taxes would send quite the message to these leeches in DC. And probably kick off something a lot worse in the process. But alas, its a dream, and it will stay a dream unfortunately.

Less than half the misery that will come later, if we don't do something now.

I am most likely older than you. The things you list ARE ALREADY HAPPENING NOW! Wake up man. There is blood in the streets now. Cops are killing people left and right. Search ATS or other sources and see for yourself. Prisons are already way overcrowded, how can you not know this? Many people are already dying. We need to crash this thing quick or things will only be worse when it finally happens.

I used to love my job until the TSA/SS ruined it. That is besides the point. What of the future? What of future generations? Should we not act, they will brand us selfish cowards and sheep who refused the call to water the tree when it was out turn to do so.

I'm 48, with 30+ years in the service. I am not quite ready to take to the streets. I agree that we are getting close, but let's not rush things, shall we? I think that is what they want to push further restrictive executive decisions.

But when it comes down to it, I will fight for the Constitution, against all enemies, Foriegn and Domestic.

I try to do my part even now, within the law.

I am in my 40s also. There is nothing illegal about my plan. That is the beauty of it.

I know there is nothing illegal about. We still have one and half years to try to fix things. Lets not rush it.

I do agree about taking the oppositions playbook and using it against them, but not to point of crushing everything.

Find your target, fix your target, destroy your target.
