Walking alone is just meant to be for some people.

Holidays, no matter the reason, helps break up the monotomy. Yes people should show their love throughout the year, but it not a bad thing to celebrate it, or anything else for that matter, and have something to look forward too, after days on end of mundane life. Go to work, go home, go to work, go home. Or school for some of you.
And Vday isn't just for lovers. Friends show each other love, parents show their children love. Children show each other gifts.

It doesn't have to be just for couples. If you have good friends, you are not spending it alone if your single.
