well, here's some more...
this time somewhere near the martian equator....

the facial image is just about 6 meters in length and of course its a typical pareidolia imagery but the greenish artifacts just above the head is kind of interesting.though they are seemingly small at 1.3 meters,they stands out from the rest of the surrounding scenery.maybe some algae growth?

and in this same area just slightly 330 meters due north, are images which really needs a lot of explaining that people here in ATS can have their say...

this image seems to show an object, circled in red,could be squarish or triangular in shape, and that it seems to be hovering
as indicated in the shadows 'underneath' the object...
now, slightly above it 50 meters away is a similar "blotch" circled in yellow, but interestingly the shadows is on the 'upper'
side of the object...so something is not right with the shadows...

The green area and the opposite shadows are interesting, even if I don't think the object casting the shadow is floating.

I will take a look.

After looking at the original photos, this is the result.

The green area are just some bright pixels, probably the result of overloaded pixels in the blue+green sensor.
One interesting result of looking at this photo is that it showed that Google uses the IRB colour image instead of the RGB ones, so the colours are nothing like we see on Google Mars.

Another thing we can see, once more, is that the Google image has too much contrast, resulting in many missing details. It probably also results in a more compressible image, allowing faster transfer rates.

The shadow in the wrong direction looks like a smal crater on the original photo, so that explains (I think ) it.

PS: the IRB images are made with the three different channels HiRISE uses, infrared, red and blue+green, so the colour is not a good representation of the original colours, although it shows better the differen types of materials in the ground. The RGB images are not really RGB, because HiRISE doesn't have separated green and blue channels, it only has a wider blue+green channel. The images are created with the red from the red channel, the green from the blue+green channel and the blue is the result of a somewhat strange formula:

The synthetic blue image digital numbers (DNs) consist of the BG image DN multiplied by 2 minus 30% of
the RED image DN for each pixel

ok so its a crater, now where does that leave the other image with the shadow on its belly?

The other shadow is a shadow of one those dune-looking features, as you can see in that image with the small crater.

Why should that shadow be different from all other shadows?

I think the original images are more interesting that the Google versions.
