Seperate bathrooms for transvestites? You gotta be kidding me.

I can't believe legislators are even considering this; In Argentina, legislators are seriously considering a bill to force establishments to create a third restroom just for transvestites, and get this; the transvestites are protesting against it.

Argentinean transvestites are objecting to new legislation proposed to create a third bathroom for their use in commercial establishments, according to local and international reports.

The proposed law, advanced by councilwoman Gimena Abonassar of the city of San Martín, is intended to protect women from men who enter their bathrooms dressed as the opposite sex, an increasingly common occurrence in certain countries.

"We're talking about creating a third bathroom to give a place to transvestites because of complaints by fathers of girls who were saying that they felt uncomfortable when they had to share the same bathroom," Abonassar told the French Press Agency in a telephone interview.

"We are against it because it seems to us to be discrimination," a representative of the association told the Spanish news agency EFE.

I'm sorry but, if you don't share the same equipment as the rest of the people in that bathroom, you just don't belong there, no matter what sex you're dressed up as. The world is just going crazy nowadays with every fringe group clamoring for special rights and privileges for their particular group.

Next, they'll want to have urinals installed in the Ladies rooms for their convenience.

I'm surprised the business owners aren't up in arms against this to, do you have any idea how much it would cost to install extra restrooms everywhere in town? Not to mention, finding space to put the new restrooms.

Personally, as a man who's been at a trough urinal, at a concert, and had to stand there next to a guy in a dress.... I think I might actuallly be for this idea.

My only question is, are there really that many Transvestites in Argentina to necessitate such a bill?

Are there really that many that they need to create a third bathroom?

My thoughts are, if you have a penis, you go into the Men's restroom. If you have a vagina, you go into the Womens restroom. Simple as that.

This world is so [SNIP] sick as it is we need to take those measures to make sure those "Things" are separated from us.

There is a certain government office in the UK where a male employee that dresses like a female has been given his/her own toilet, the management are petrified of a legal row by all account so it's easier to build him/ here a toilet for him/hers.

I would like to expand on the details and the insanity of this place but don't know if I can becuse it's a government office and my friend works there.

I guess they're trying to be "sensitive" to the "persecuted minority" by catering to their needs.

What restroom transvestites use IS a problem but, I can't see burdening business owners by requiring them to put in an extra restroom as being a viable solution.

If the transvestites get their way, it will open the door for perverts to dress up as women to go into the Ladies room for a peek (or worse).

The best solution, IMO is to tell the transvestites to stay in the proper restrooms and arrest them if they are found in the wrong one, just like any other guy who tries sneaking into the Ladies room.

First of all I can't even count the ways in which they haven't thought this through ...

Not a transvestite expert per se, but simple logic dictates that one would need at least two more restrooms ... one for each reversal type. You throw pre/post-op variations into the mix and combine them with the previous, the permutations are a plenty. That's a whole lot of bathrooms.

From a slightly more sober perspective, this is obviously a segregation strategy aimed to further marginalize folks they don't 'approve' of.

I dont care what sex a person may WANT to be, whether they're given a X or Y chromosome, then thats what sex they are. They can protest it all they want but they are wrong to expect others to respect their denial and twisted perception on sexuality.

While I agree with you that this is not a good idea, a third public toilet, in your comment you create a dilemma. I'd ask what about intersexuals? People born with no clearcut gender? 1 in 500 adults are born genderless so it is indeed an issue. I'd say its something we need to address but at the same time it should not have to be where we build public facilities or have to fork out tax payer money. It is something we need to address through our laws however.

Well since the tranny's minds cant be read and be absolutely sure they have pure intentions, I would say this "idea" would work since such groups feel they have specific Constitutional rights specific to a sexual preference that tramples others.
