Those are pretty eerie my friend, I'm sure even an ARMY man such as yourself must have been shaken by these events, I know I would have been... You said you were on leave at your parents home when the woman appeared to you. Do you have any idea why she appeared to you there... of all places? Is there any special connection to your parents home and the paranormal? Maybe other incidents?

There have been other paranormal incidents that have occurred around that place, but to be honest with you I don't think she was a normal apparition or lost soul that was bound to the place. The feeling associated with her being there and her deliberate actions spoke to what I think she may have been. She never appeared before or after that incident. I think she was a banshee.

As for this stuff shaking me up - it stopped doing that after about 03... lol

I have a BUNCH of others, but don't want to tie your thread up and turn it into an mf_luder play by play.

Cheers!

Hi.

Two questions really. I see black shadows, I suppose these are shadow people, there have never harmed me or affected my life in any way apart from just flying around. I've moved to a new country about 3 years ago and they followed!

I also, in the last few months have started to notice white shadow people. I've never heard of this. Can anyone shed any light for me?

I was told I had two gardian angles and am very spiritchal.

I've seen a number of paranormal events but over the years most have lost their details. For instance, I can remember from my childhood watching my dog chase what looked like the shadow of a cat with a super long tail into my parents bedroom. I don't remember any of the other details.

The one event that I do remember like it happened yesterday is this: At about age 13, I awoke in the night feeling as if someone was watching me or just in the room and looked at the foot of my bed. There was a white blob standing there, not specifically human-shaped (I couldn't see details like a face or arms or legs) but generally the size and width of a person. This blob was not just white but seemed as if it were glowing, though it didn't shine any light onto its surroundings.
As quickly as I saw it, it dove toward the wall to my right, seeming to shrink as it went. At the moment that it struck the wall it was gone - vanished. I might have dismissed it as a figment of my waking imagination or a trick of the eye except that, at the very moment it struck the wall, there was a very loud thud from that very same spot - as if something solid had indeed made impact. To this day I think it was probably some sort of partially-formed ghost, though I am open to the possibility that it was some sort of inter-dimensional being or even alien contact. Who knows what it was but it was definitely real.

I've had a few experiences of the paranormal, but I'll tell you about one that happened recently.

I was living in a beach house with a roommate, we were renting the house. It was an older house that when we first looked at it, seemed to have a lot of charm. It had real wood floors, high ceilings, and several cool features to the house. There was a reading room, with a built-in bookcase. A large mirror in the foyer, and an old chandelier with porcelain 18th century figures pictured. It also had a gas sot e, and a claw foot bathtub. The deciding factor at the time, since my roommate and I were both working nights bar tending, was the fact that it was close to work, and affordable!

After moving in, I was p,eased to get the back bedroom, my roommates bedroom was a little smaller, and towards the front of the house. We both started noticing strange things about the house. She claimed to be hearing scratching in the walls, but only in her bedroom. My boyfriend thought she was just hearing mice, and that maybe cause the house was old, it could be that or the normal creaking of an old house.

I started to have some strange dreams, so did my roommate, although my boyfriend, who stayed over often, didn't experience any. The dreams would be the kind where you were still dreaming, and thought you were awake. I'd also hear voices sometimes when driftIng off to sleep, they sounded like they were having a party, although it was frustrating, because I couldn't discern what they were saying. I had one really bad nightmare which I thought I had awoken, and saw a woman at the end of my bed staring at me. She looked as if she had drowned. We lived a couple blocks from the beach at the time.

One afternoon my boyfriend, he's since become my husband
. and I were taking a bath together in the claw foot bathtub. It was a bright, sunny afternoon, and we were languishing in the tub, had the place to ourselves. Both of the doors of the bathroom were closed. We heard three very loud knocks at one of the doors. My boyfriend jumped up to hold the door closed, and yelled out "Were in here!", thinking my roommate would come barging in, she was kinda like that! Lol.We didn't hear any response, so he threw on a towel and went to check the house. He even looked in the closet, we were alone.

I know that as far as paranormal experiences go, this is mild, but it was very strange to us, and couldn't be explained by old creaking of the house. They weren't scary enou to prompt us to leave, eventual problems with my roommate did that, but it was strange that after I moved out, I didn't experience any of the weird wake/sleeping dreams anymore.

So, that's my little ghost story, now thinking about it I wish we had tried to contact the spirit or spirits of the house, it would have been interesting.

Two winters ago, my boyfriend, two of our friends, and I went on a trip to Paulding, Michigan (upper Michigan) to see the Paulding Lights. Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with what that place is, I'll explain the setting. And if there's anyone out there who knows more information, or if my information is wrong, you are welcome to correct me. There used to be a rail road track that runs through there, which got torn out, and now there's just a dirt road, which gets cut off about halfway down and you had to walk the rest of the way if you wanted to go further. There has been no explanation for the paranormal activities that go on there, but obviously it's highly active at night. Many people have gone there to try and figure out why the place has such high paranormal activities, and sometimes they have gone missing. There's a story about a kid who got lost and went missing in the woods along those tracks, when the tracks were still there, and a man going out at night trying to find the kid with a light. This happened many, many years ago. People go up there at night to see that light come out, and when it does come out it looks like the white headlight on a train, and it always looks like it's coming towards you because the light gets brighter. Sometimes the light changes red too, which is always strange. Mind you again, there has been no explanation as to where the light is coming from when it comes out. The trees and the woods around the place is dead silent, no animals, no birds chirping, nothing. But you are able to hear things in the woods that aren't there.

Well, my friends and I were up there in the dead of winter, at night. There was news of a really bad snow storm coming but it didn't start snowing until we got there. Nobody else was there except us. And as we got there we saw the light. We saw it change to red. We decided to cut the lights and engine to our car in order to see the light better. That's when we decided it was a really bad idea because we started hearing ALL sorts of things happening around our car. We heard footsteps in the snow. We saw shadows coming in and out of the woods. So yeah, we started freaking out and tried to bail out of there like hell. But what made the situation even better was how our car got stuck in the snow. Instead of turning the car around on the road, we decided to back up because we were THAT scared. But the weird thing was we were driving on snow that was previously hard, so there was no possible way our car would've dug it's way as deep as it did. Our car was on TOP of the snow. Our only explanation was that some force out there had pushed our car down into the snow in order for us to get ourselves stuck that way because when we finally had a tow truck come pull us out the next day, our car popped right out like it wasn't even stuck and there were no tracks showing us how we got stuck.

But the creepiest part was during the time when we had gotten our car stuck. We decided try to dig ourselves out, which meant we had to deal with whatever was out there in the cold, as it was snowing. Obviously we had no luck, but we all heard big wooden doors creaking and opening and slamming shut IN THE WOODS. And we knew for a fact, because we've been there before in summer, that there was NOTHING out there. Like I said earlier, we saw and heard a LOT of things that we knew weren't there physically, other than shadows. We all had cell phones but NONE of us could get any reception. We tried many times to contact the nearest police station/sheriff's department or whatever to try and help us. We used whatever little reception we could get and finally contacted someone to come get us. We left our car stuck in the woods because there was no tow truck service for miles and the closest one wouldn't come until day. My friends and l and spent the night at a Menominee Casino/Hotel, which was just down the highway from where we were.

That was one of the best paranormal experiences I've had.

Well shadow people are basically self explanatory, an entity that sticks to shadows, having no form, and follows you... At least, this is what I believe shadow people are... I am not 100% though. Not to be confused with Black eyed people... For some reason I do that all the time.

That's so creepy... Kind of sounds like my experience (check the OP) about the blob thing, and then it dissipating.. Although I didn't hear any thud or anything. I wonder how many more people experienced this.

Interesting story! I think the knocking experiences are some of the scariest because it is so unexpected.. And as far as the nightmares go I totally understand, I often get those, where you think you are awake and you are, in fact, still asleep.. What ever happened to the house anyone else ever experience anything?... Oh and by the way, congratulations on the wedding =)

I have experienced a few things during my 33 year old life, and I'll share one of them here. It's probably the one experience that I've had most trouble finding a logic explanation for..

So here goes:

When I was 10'ish years old, I was home alone during they day being out playing with my friends near our house.

My two sisters were at school, and both my parents were at work. When the time neared their homecoming, I went to the house to check if someone had come home yet.

I opened the front door to the house, but didnt enter the hallway, cause from the kitchen which were 3-4 feet forward and to the right through and open doorway, I heard crystal clear - loud sounds that resembled someone doing some dishwashing manually, or having the sink full of pots and pans and moving it around rapidly. This was most unusual, as we had a dishwasher - so I shouted Mom ! Dad ! and my sisters names - but received no answer from the kitchen.

I started having goosebumps and got a feeling of utter dread, and a feeling that I must NOT enter that kitchen at all costs (and I'm receiving that even by just typing this post now), and stood there for maybe 30 more seconds shouting names hoping I'd receive an answer from the kitchen.

This whole time the sound continued loudly and clearly..

I was scared and puzzled, and I could not get myself to enter the house, so I closed the door and left, just to observe my whole family come home one by one.

This means NOONE were in the house, and even if the experience isn't that special - I have been trying to find an explanation for it for many years - to no avail.

Lol, thanks! We have driven by the house a few times, the owner at the time was selling it, and I guess he finally succeeded. I almost thought about asking the new tenants, but the house is on the way to my mom's place, so I'm usually on my way there.

As for the dreams, they mostly stopped after moving from there, I mean I still have nightmares from time to time, but not usually this where i think I'm already awake.

I saw someone mention the shadow people. I have an interesting thing to add on that one.

This could all be explained by just a hallucinatory event, because when it happened I had a fairly high fever, and was sick with the flu. I was about 7 or 8 years old, and the flu had hit me upside the head. One night I was trying to rest, and I had a high fever. I don't remember how I got into the living room, I must have sleepwalked there, strike that, sleep-ran there.

My mom found me running laps from the living room thru our foyer into the kitchen and thru the dining room back in a full circle. She was jogging along beside me, and trying to get me to stop running. I remember this. She asked me what I was running from, and I looked back in horror, and said "Don't you see him?" I saw a large black, Victorian looking hearse, drawn by two black horses. The figure that was holding the reins was a shadow man, I could discern a body, or a face, and he (I only say "he", because he form looked masculine), was wearing a large black hooded cloak. Well, if you saw this chasing you, you'd run for your life as well!

I remember my mom running along beside me, trying to rationalize with me, saying that I was just sick, and there wasn't anyone there, but I didn't stop, until she tackled me, and then I screamed, thinking it would catch up and kill me.

I had several other hallucinations with that particular fever. They usually happened before I was going to sleep, and so I dreaded sleeping. In one, the daffodils my dad bought me to cheer me up came to life.

The other one was also strange. I so wish I had more of a recollection on that one, as it was so weird. I got up, and went to the bathroom. I was only 7 to 8 years old at the time, mind you. As I was sitting in the bathroom, I must have had the urge to go to the desk in the kitchen, pick up a large yellow legal pad and pen, and return to the bathroom. All I remember is that I felt like I was visited by some type of force. I didn't see anything, and I fell into a trance state of sorts in which it communicated with me.

Here's the weird part! It showed me the secrets of the universe. It told me things, and I wrote them down on the paper. All I remember about this was the feeling that I understood everything, and that I was an old soul. It was as if my understanding of the event escaped the confines of a young mind. I do remember thinking that it all made sense to me.

I must have been in the bathroom for hours, my mom found me there, and put me back to bed. I laid in bed the whole next day, but I was improving, and the hallucinations stopped.

My mom told me that she found me in the bathroom, and that I had the pad and pen with me. I asked her for them. She told me she threw out the paper! I asked her what was on it, and she said i had written a bunch of things, but that she couldn't understand any of it, so she threw it away. Ugh! I so wish to know what I had written that night. Maybe someday I'll try hypnosis and see if I get any answers that way.

I've never had experiences that were quite like that again. Yeah, a few minor hallucinations with fevers later in my childhood, but nothing near those!

Only one. It was more of a mist and I walk through it as I noticed it. I will add that I was alittle sad at the time.

I've never really had any proper paranormal stories, but there is one thing that constantly happens. I love in apartments were the vents are on the ceiling. These vents never cause any sort of "Wind" or things of the such in my room. I have this dream catcher that is very fancy. It has wolves decorated on it, and eagle feathers tied on strings with beads on them on it. Almost everyday, almost all the time, the feathers move as though a wind is moving them around from the bottom or top, not from left or right. I have put my hand by them- no wind. I can't explain it, honestly.
Another odd thing about it is that I pointed it out to a friend, and she looked at me as though I were crazy, and then laughed and told me, "What are you talking about? They aren't moving!" Although they clearly were. My dad has seen it too. It is pretty odd.

That line just reminded me of something regarding the events i posted earlier in the thread.

Due to what was going on at the time my mam decided to get the house blessed, the person (not sure if he was a priest, minister or even god lol) who blessed the house said he was quite drawn to me and he could see i had a guardian who was dressed in a celtic military type uniform, what he didnt know is my grandad was a welsh guard and he had died before i was born.

Maybe it was a lucky guess but thought i'd mention it.

NO!!!!!!!!

I'll tell one more story though. My son was a senior in high school and one of his best friends had moved to a city about 2 1/2 hours away, and he was going to borrow my car (Mustang convertible) to go see him. That morning, I had a strange feeling of something bad about to happen, and I seemed focused on my son going up to Enid, OK, to see that friend. My daughter got up early to talk to me before I went to work, which was virtually a miracle unto itself, because in the summer she usually got up 8-9ish, and I was in the Air Force and had to be in my clinic by 06:45. Anyway, my daughter said she had a terrible nightmare, and my son was killed in an MVA in my convertible. The two of us went and talked to him to try to convince him not to go, but he was determined. I did make him promise that except for the drive to and from Enid, he would not drive the car under any circumstances. He knew that this was serious because of other things that had happened when either one of us had premonitions, so with both of us feeling bad about the trip, he was serious also.

Well, he kept his word. He drove up to Enid, and did not drive my car. HOWEVER, he decided that since he had not promised that no one else could drive my car, he let his buddy and a friend drive it. As you can probably guess by now, sure enough a drunk hit my car, but because this friend was driving really slow because he was driving my car, they both escaped with relatively minor injuries, except for a broken arm for the driver. My son had a habit of driving with a heavy right foot, and if he had been at the controls, he probably would have been just far enough ahead that he wouldn't have been able to swerve in time. I was really mad that my car was nearly totalled, but I was very thankful that my son had at least kept his word not to drive that night.

I just found this ironic. I am at work right now, night shift and I am the only person in the building. I work for a local hardware store and do invintory and stock at night. I'm just a little board because there is a lack of work to do tonight so I have been browsing through these stories aswell.

Well about halfway through the last one the doorbells in our electrical section started to go off, they are all wired to buttons so customers can test them. I'm the only one here so I don't know who pressed the buttons.

I started reading again and that doorbell stared again, kinda made me laugh. Except this time it was like someone was holding their finger on the bottom. After it rang for 10 min straight I got anoyed and just unwired it. Now I'll leave it to the day shift people to sort that out

very odd though

it is electric and direct wired, no timers or anything
