I just put my thoughts together about "the chicks", translated it into English, corrected all my spelling and grammar mistakes ... tried to post my contribution ... only to discover the thread has come to an end.

It'd only taken me about an hour

Oh well. Think I was better out of it anyway.

By the time I'd thought up something, translated it, corrected it ... they'd moved onto other things

I'm just too slow. I wish mine had been a good post, the one on which the whole thread depended. But it was probably rubbish. And foreign rubbish at that.

Ho well ! Another day, issue beckons no doubt
