Obama cancels Moon return project

President Barack Obama has cancelled the American project designed to take humans back to the Moon.

The Constellation programme envisaged new rockets and a new crewship called Orion to put astronauts on the lunar surface by 2020.

But in his 2011 budget request issued on Monday, Mr Obama said the project was too costly, "behind schedule, and lacking in innovation".

We all knew that NASA will be denied some funding for going to the moon again in the Obama budget. And now it is official, the Contellation program has been cancelled by Obama

The main point here is, Is it so important to go to the Moon? And what have we gained after 40 years of going to the moon?

I believe that this is a wrong decision by Obama, countries like Russia, India and China are planning for the moon and the US may be left behind.

Well the debunkers keep telling us there's nothing on the moon so why bother spending money on a lifeless crated rock!

Why spend money on the false front Nasa program when in a few years they will probably just come out with the hidden one anyways. Besides they need all the money for wars. All the war corps need billions to keep satans slaughter of the third world in step.

Now that NASA has been backed into a corner disclosure may be imminent. They need the money, and only some very sensational evidence will get them all that dough Obama has recently pulled. It gets interesting.

Who cares about going to space? God is coming soon and we already know what's going to happen in WW3. The moon landings were fake. There's no way you can go to the moon. Period.

maybe obama just wants you and all the other countries to think we're not going, huh? nah, going to the moon isn't really that important unless you're a conspiracy theorist that believes stuff is being hidden up there. The second poster is right. Nothing has really been gained in the past 40 years from when we went the first time. Hell, NASA even lost the tapes. I guess it wasn't that important.
