How many things over the last few years have brought about fury from people all over the political spectrum?

I would really watch out for a radical move by our government in the coming months.

This is always the way to more and more tyranny.

The old rope a dope. See this hand, do not look at the other.

100 Trillion and counting. Our country is owned by the corporate elite and their bankster masters.

We have never been in the game. Never.

When wealth is measure by the ownership of assets, true assets, we the people own NOTHING.

You think you own your house? Wrong, you own NOTHING.

Allodial Title, google it. You rent all of your assets, including your labor. You are owned lock stock and barrel by your government.

Paying yearly tax on property is proof positive, you own nothing. You are the custodial unit to the property, owned by the government.

I mentioned this line of thinking in a thread about how much of YOUR labor is required to reach a Utopia. It use to be that our government could get by with about 20%. It has reached now a mere 75%. Everywhere we turn they want more.

I agree also with the timing, yesterday something happen to me that only happens when certain "things" usually bad are about to happen.

I had the worst disppear in my hart, you are right, something is brewing and is going to get ugly.

The supreme court doing this at this time, just before the next mid term elections has been influence by something or certain groups.

A pay back? this nothing but corruption at its highest and people still doesn't realized that our nation is falling into chaos

Look at the donation stats. Sure, everyone is at the trough, but the right wing's collective lips have been surgically grafted to the teat of big business.

Established by Article I of the Constitution, the Legislative Branch consists of the House of Representatives and the Senate, which together form the United States Congress. The Constitution grants Congress the sole authority to enact legislation and declare war, the right to confirm or reject many Presidential appointments, and substantial investigative powers.

So if congress passed a law limiting campaign contributions how can the supreme court over turn that law???? THAT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL we need to throw these judges out that think the court makes laws they enforce the laws as congress writes them nothing in the constitution gives the supreme court the power to make law or over turn a law.

Also OP- we've always paid taxes on the internet. Next? Further prices on bandwidth have dropped drastically in the past 20 years.


Personally, being the true Cynic that I am, I feel that it would be a good and welcome thing- all this corporate money flooding in. It'll either be a catalyst for change in our society as the masses get fed the hell up with this/the blinders are removed, or it'll only prove how complacent people really are in our society and thus won't make any huge difference anyway.

Either way, I welcome it- lets stop hiding behind curtains, just get it all out in the open and see what happens. I'm all for it. Let me have Burger King and Nike sponsored representation, please!

tl;dr- it'll be a great wake up call for the masses, or it'll prove how stupid and complacent society really is, and so I welcome this as a means to an end.

Hi all. I live in Italy (we've a very bad government right now, I know), and I've been a fan of ATS for a long time. When I've read about the Supreme Court decision and the words from Grayson, my very first tought was: "The Omnicorp will be real! This world is absolutely CRAZY!!!". Like the Omnicorp from Robocop movie we'll have the big companies to rule our lives*. I say "we" and "our" because everything that happens in your country greatly influences Europe and Italy. I'm a little bit scared, believe me.

I've felt it too marg. I have been extremely depressed all day. I dont' get like this....I get worried....but never this way. I just feel horrible right now.

I completely agree, David. This situation has completely proved that no matter how pretty or appealing someone's speech may be, or how many tears they shed over the loss of their country, if they are on the MSM, they are the MSM.

Glenn Beck's abject silence on the issue should prove that he is just another facet of the corporate machine. He serves a niche, just like Ron Paul does in politics. Someone may love what they say, but in the end, they get their paychecks from the corporate machine, not the people.

This ruling now puts Corporations on the same level as Unions, who are stealing their member's money without their permission.

Real fairness is that neither corporations or union should be able to donate, only US citizens.

Absolutely....easiest way to do that is to make all campaigns publicly funded...through taxpayer money. I will GLADLY pay more in taxes to keep our political system as "corrupt free" as it possibly can be.
