JFK Evacuated Today, Should Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano Resign?
According to the Associated Press, JFK Airport is now being evacuated because of another US Airport security breach.
www.foxnews.com...
How many more times must the incompetent Nutpolitano be caught with her pants down? Why does she remain at the helm of Homeland Security? This is another example of our Obamanation!

It has to be said, that there have been far too many lapses in security of late.

My BS meter is starting to twitch, usually a bad sign.

It goes something like this:

Nice man gets elected to the White house by saying the war on terror can't be won by military methods alone.

Nice man makes a lot of promises regarding peace.

Nice man lets the security situation deteriorate.

Nice man gets the support to stop the nasty terrorists and fill the holes in the security situation.

Nice man is just as bad as the last nasty man.

De Ja Vu anyone?

All the best, Kiwifoot!

It sounds bad, but a CBC news reports "U.S. airline JetBlue Airways has reopened its terminal at New York's John F. Kennedy airport following a brief evacuation after authorities found two replica grenades in a piece of checked baggage."

Why would you bring something like that to an airport....

You are all suckers falling for the propaganda. THEY are the govt. All these incidents are NOTHING, FAKE, just to ratchet up the public fear and tension, and get the sheeple to agree to MORE restrictions and loss of civil rights. You are all like frogs in the slowly boiling pot. Watching it from the outside (i.e. the rest of the world) it looks like a ### Three Stooge's routine.

Oh now, really, I could have done without that mental picture.

You do make a good point, seems like things are heating up and that people are testing security. They better straighten up quickly or there's going to be more to worry about than whether she should be fired or not.

It does sound like they are "testing the waters" so to speak but why should she step down? For catching these people before anything bad happens? They are doing their job very well considering that nothing bad has transpired here in the USA. The so-called underpants bomber did not breach our security, it was in Amsterdam that he breached their security. Since 911 the TSA has done a great job, in my opinion, at securing our airports and planes here in the USA. If I missed something please inform me because I could be wrong and will be the first to admit it if I missed something, but as far as I know they did their job by clearing the airport terminal and rescanning passengers.

Wow, so you all LOVE the PATRIOT act and the absurd airport security? Security that is so tight it causes hours of delay for YOU, yet allows bozos to just walk through security doors, or get on planes without a passport and with explosive in his underwear.

You should be in TERROR of the CRIMINAL MASTERMINDS who plot these "attempted highjackings". Luckily, though they can waltz onto planes with ease, the criminal masterminds don't train their jihadists on how to exactly set off their shoes stuffed with dynamite or underwear full of PETN.

Who cares if you have to stand in hours and hours of lines, so that some highschool dropout can determine if you are "secure" or not. As long as it keeps you safe from those CRIMINAL MASTERMINDS!

Soon it will be determined that air travel should be restricted, and you need to demonstrate in writing WHY you are going wherever you are going. This will make you SAFER from the criminal masterminds.

Homeland Security in action!

This is the best we have? Seriously, other nations think we are retarded.

I don't understand your psychology.

You want her to step down because they evacuated an airport to save civilians in the case that there was a terrorism attack?

Isn't that keeping your eye on the ball?

The emergency measure was ordered after a person entered a secure area without proper screening, Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman was quoted as saying by NBC television.

The rest of the airport was reported to be operating normally.

An unauthorized entry of a man into a secure zone at Newark International Airport earlier this month caused huge delays, although he was later found to have just been trying to give a departing passenger a last kiss.

A bit harsh to sack someone, as these incidents are unavoidable when people are ignorant of the security. Unfortunately however many times people are told to stand and wait, some will always blatently ignore these rules.

I agree, evacuating the terminal is precautionary and necessary given the circumstances, and shows that unavoidable situations (where next time may be a suicide bomber) can be as under control as feasibly possible.

It’s very simple the people of the United States and the world for that matter simply need to boycott air travel all together until the government and the airlines remember it’s a service that we pay for and not a privilege that we pay for.

I haven’t flown since 9-11 and I won’t until all this nonsense at the airport stops.

If some occasional nutcase wants to get on a plane and blow it up I really don’t care! I don’t live my life in fear or suspicion I take my life in my own hands every day when I get up.

There are no guarantees in life and beware anyone who offers you one.

True story, I was in my kitchen one day about a year ago when all of a sudden a supreme sense of dread came over me. A voice in my head literally said you are about to die, step to the left and do it now.

I know to listen to my own intuition and took a step to the left without hesitation as a 30 pound art deco light fixture came crashing down from the ceiling and smashed to the floor.

Now which government agency was going to protect me from that? In my own home, fixing something to drink?

Wake up people, stop living your lives in fear on the chance of a long shot random event might bring tragedy into it.

You have a better chance statistically of being hit by lightening than you do a terrorist attack.

Stop paying your own government to tyrannize you and humiliate you and treat you like chattel for a service you pay for.

A person who would trade their liberty and dignity for security deserves neither, and in reality you aren’t getting either at this rate!

If somebody crapped in the parking lot of Walmart, should the manager be fired? No? Should the parking lot cleaning company employee be fired? No? Should the contractor who poured the asphalt in the parking lot be fired? No? Then why does Janet N. (who was probably hundreds of miles away) need to lose her job?

Sounds like you are a conservative/republican/fox news viewer with a political agenda, who is caught up in the demonizing of all liberal/democrats/MSNBC viewers. Your trying to connect one person's stupid decision with somebody else being responsible.

I found some of your previous threads interesting and came to a conclusion about what kind of person you are. For other readers, here are the thread headlines from Violater1:
