What! 49 pages, when i went out earlier to see a band there was only 9 pages!

So what's the verdict? Which page is phage's response? Help a brother out someone please?

The general consensus (as well as phage's) is rocket
a very very very excellent malfunction visually indeed!

So you are one to follow general consensus? I thought ATS was home to people that thought independently.

All types of rockets have been tested for years and years and years, but for some reason this is the first time anything even CLOSE to this has happened.

Alas, if the all knowing "Phage" deems it a rocket, than a rocket it is.

You can't believe everything you hear... not even on a conspiracy forum.

When you read enough threads and absorb enough info, at some point you are gagging for a filter, to filter out all the [snip]. There are some people who's work is so outstanding here on ATS that they have gained a certain level of respect from other members.

For me and for many other ATS members Phage is numero uno in the reliability stakes. So yes if I don't have time to read 50 pages of a thread I will definitely seek out a consensus or indeed on some occasions seek the opinion of one particular member.

If it worries you that much why not learn from them and put in the time effort and research that they do. Then maybe one day members will look for your post as a reliable jumping off point instead of Phage's. Just a thought.

Don't know if anyone posted this link from the new scientist?

It has a little video too.

Ah.
The barium is green but when ionized it shows blue.

(I don't see any green at all)

my random and probably insane too opinion..

testing technology so that the alien invasion can be staged or "god" could return. If they can hide the beam from which the spiral projects they'll be able to better fool us all.

Twice now I have attempted from various sources on the net to post a link on Facebook about this and it won't let me or appear after a refresh ?

Here is a UK forum discussing it

I have also posted a "WTF is going on and explained my links are not being displayed plain text message asking people to Google Noway spiral" and even that appears to be then deleted !

Not being paranoid it may well be a refresh problem or FB having a crap day but 3 posts ?

I started replying on page one to this thread last night and i posted the long exposure photo and said 'what's going on in norway' or something like that and it let me post it fine
FB just has it's bad days, i had problems posting in the morning yesterday though, so i dont think you need to worry that someone's stopping you from posting it

Exactly. A blue trail in the direction of radiation.

Just how would a missile be able to create such a perfect spiral? McDowell says the shape suggests the failure occurred well above the atmosphere.

If it had occurred at lower altitudes, atmospheric drag would have caused the missile to fall quickly to Earth, creating a downward-pointing corkscrew pattern whose contrails would have been blown "this way and that" by wind, he told New Scientist. The Bulava missile has three stages that fire in succession as it climbs up in altitude.

"Probably what happened is that stages 1 and 2 did just fine and were discarded in turn, and then stage 3 started burning and almost immediately went wrong," McDowell says. He says the third stage's nozzle, which directs the rocket's exhaust plume, may have fallen off or been punctured, causing the exhaust to come out sideways instead of out the back. "The sideways thrust sends the rocket into a spin, spewing flame as it goes," he says. "If thrust was terminated right away, then you wouldn't see the spiral," he continues. "The unusual thing this time is that the missile was allowed to carry on firing for a bit after it went wrong."

Seriously, among the only reasonable explanations (as if 'reason' has anything to do with ATS!) is that of the missile.

I am keeping my mind open, but I have to admit that while I *HOPE AND WISH* that it is something spectacular and amazing, I am leaning at this point towards a more prosaic explanation, such as the missile hypothesis. Just because two governments deny knowledge of a defense experiment/test doesn't mean it didn't happen. Also, my understanding is that this was taking place in the early morning hours, not during the night, hence the hint of a waaaaay northern hemisphere dawn in the sky.

In such a case, a fuel leak in the upper atmosphere from a very aerodynamic, but careening and corkscrewing missile would not only probably look just like that hypnotist's wheel effect, but would also be illuminated much more strongly than items at the surface of the planet, and would in fact be in near direct sunlight. I think the visual information that tells us that the center of the cyclone (so to speak) is stationary is actually an optical illusion, and the weird spreading of the black hole at the end it literally the very end of the fuel supply. The missile would still be moving very fast, and so tiny and far away that it would be invisible. As far as the blue stream is concerned, it looks like it has very nearly the same frequency as the spirals, and again, could be just the spent gas picking up weird reflected light from the snow. Perhaps that's what's bouncing off of it. Think of the strange multitude of colors one sees in a puddle of conventional automobile fuel. Who knows what sort of spectrum of light some sort of missile fuel could reflect.

It was probably a Russian missile, and just like the Chinese and Americans using laser weapons to disable and destroy satellites, this was meant to demonstrate the technical capacities of a new weapon system without being overtly aggressive, without having to say “Amerikaskies, we in Russia SPIT on your laser-based ‘miss I’ll the fence’ sea-stems, and we NUKE your cities if want we to do! Da?”

That said, I still hope it's a dimensional portal.

Well the odd thing is that something like this takes A DAY to confirm.

The other thing that is odd is that if we know about this. So should the US.UK and the rest of NATO.

Alright ... so I've narrowed it down to these options:

1. Godfart!

2. Al Gore's ego deflating.

3. Rocket launch.

4. A NWO HAARP false flag reverse disinfo operation in conjunction with the sugar mining alien insect overlords whom I always welcome and are willing to assist in rounding up ATS members to toil in their sugar caves, conditional as per usual to phage's approval.

Not in order

Well, we only see a portion of the footage in every instance, and it's an orgy of colors. There's obviously numerous different reactive chemicals in the atmosphere.

Once again, I feel it's necessary for the sake of myself to state that I don't believe it was EISCAT, I think it was a rocket. It's just such an spectacular rocket failure that it makes me wonder about surrounding operations, such as these strange Barium (and other chemical element) experiments that have been taking place. They can do a lot more than make pale green clouds.

And maybe it's used to steer away attention from Copenhagen & Climategate. It keeps us busy with pretty lights in the sky.

Now that is a good point, as with most things they dont want us involved in or knowing about , they put some kind of screen to take away the attention, i would bet this will be big new in the media and the Copenhagen conference becomes the ticker at the bottom of the screen, Hmm

Oh The incredible investigative skills of ATS'ers never
ceases to amaze. Of course we all (or most of us) want this to be the big amazing find. But the mundane and prosaic explanations and corroborated evidence that are well provided and explained in depth with all of their subtleties are lost on the posters that cant get past reading the first 3 pages before posting. Sigh ..

Well, I hope the Submariners that launched this get to come here and see the pretty pictures of the wayward rocket they launched! Im kinda sure they didn't get to see the the show from missile launch depth.

Everyone know what a NAVTEX is by now?
Everyone know how to see what the weather was at any given time, at any point on the globe?
Real shame we cant get EXIF data on published pics.
here anymore.

Thanks Hullmutt And OZ and Spirit_Horse and others.Good
invesigating.

And will the REAL Jim Oberg....please stand up.

I've read before that Norway holds the underground bases for the Illuminati to hide when 2012 comes. Not sure if we should trust anything their officials say.

Not that this is any more related to the topic than your post, but I think it's totally funny how everyone cowers away from a world government when we've past peak oil and don't have enough medicine and food for everyone. Seems pretty funny to me that the Capitalist, corporate oligarch elite have slapped the "NWO" label on Socialism.

Norway also just gave the Peace Prize to Obama!
