One word XANAX

Makes human zombies, with no memories, and almost robotic abbility to follow an order and then after the deed is done and a day or two passes, its almost like a dream..."did I really do that?"
One of the most prescribed and adictive drugs on the market!
The general person gets 1-4 mg a day..
In exstream cases up to 10 mg can be administered in a single dose.
I know this is not the drug in question ...but it has many similarities!

One thing, how do we know is going to "Erase just bad memories and not all memories".

How can a drug be "that selective".

drugs will allways be there

abuse of controled substances is as natural as illegal ones.

I can see the possibilities, but I have to say that this makes me uncomfortable. Our memories and life experience make us what we are, regardless of what they are.

I would assume that it blocks the bad memories and fear because they are brought about by different chemicals than good memories and joy?

Either way to block or destroy any memory one has would be wrong. It is our past that makes us who we are today. It is our past that gives us the courage to get through the bad days we have now and that push us to survive in situations that we could not survive in without them.

If you want to change who you are you should do it the natural way, without the use of drugs of any sort. Keep all of your thoughts no matter how bad they may be, those thoughts give you character.

I was so looking forward to losing my fear of heights . . so I took a pill.
I climbed like I was born on a skyscraper !

I was so looking forward to losing my fear of falling . . so I took another
pill . . and fell.

I was so looking forward to losing my fear of dying . . I took another pill
on the way down . . . . . . . . . .

I thank you. Learn something new everyday. So this small fruit, the size of
a cherry, works as an anti-depressant, elevates moods, contains 30 times
as much vitamin C as an orange, 10 times as much iron, etc.
Do we have to go to the Amazon rain forest to get it ?

I'm trying to find some, but no you don't have to
you can find it some stores but you'll need to do some digging
However i'd assume at least one store in every county would have it

I always was a firm believer that nature has all the medicine we need.
I still believe it and am positive of it, medicines without side effects
but cures and preventives

look at the benefits of brocolli juice, celeri juice and even asparagus.
you'd be surprised.
Also Ginger, lemon grass and neem leaves

Things like this could prove very useful in treating cases of PTSD that impede normal functioning.

I know of something else that will also do this:

It will also make guilty people spill their guts to you .

and it will make them spill their guts...

Wait, they made a drug that makes you fearless and forget things?
I didn't realize you could put alcohol in a pill!
this is the greatest discovery since everclear!

The question that comes to my mind is how is it selective on 'bad memories' from 'good memories'? What mechanism is there for choice?

Pish... There's nothing good about bad memories. If I could take a pill to erase bad memories that give me PTSD, I'd take it in a heartbeat, and never look back. That kind of character is overrated.

Geez

We already have this, but it was "luckily" outlawed by our friends Ronald and Nancy.

Search "Alexander Shulgin" to find the missing pieces.

Care to bet this drug was developed with grants from the DOD?
hey, who needs soldiers with a conscience? take away the fears and
the memories and viola! Robosoldier! Shoot, rape and don't remember, sounds like a Holiday in Cambodia.

I'm not sure about this drug actually. On one hand I think I could benefit from it as I suffer from post traumatic stress disorder (thankfully pretty much over it) though I am left with an obsessive compulsive disorder involving an avoidance of crowds, public spaces.

It could be a real boon to the people that suffer reliving memories like soldiers and emergency service crews and thus could exponentially help their families, and possibly the man in the street as some with terrible past traumas can and have gone postal.

On the flip side this drug seems open to be abused. Rape, murder and all the rest of it could be wiped out and perpetrators never brought to justice. This could also be used by a despotic government in the worst case scenario and that opens up a whole new world of pain and suffering.

I am worried about this drug as abuse will happen not an if but when.
