This country was not founded on liberal thinking. It was founded on conservative thinking, believing in minimal government, individual responsibility and effort, and that no man nor government should hold any person back.

Lincoln was a real SOB that started a lot of this crap, followed by another liberal Wilson who gave us this damned income tax, then Roosevelt who brought us the "noble" idea of social security that has become an abomination, then Johnson's Great Society which has ruined family values and family life, creating two complete generations of social and financial parasites, and now we have the Promised One who's going to close the deal.

I would humbly request you put me on ignore.

Don't read a damned thing I say.

You and your ilk would be happy to continue this merry trip to ruin, and I certainly have no interest in obstructing your view through rose colored glasses.

When it's only a few hundred in the streets, no one is going to pay attention. It might get on the nightly local news or up on youtube, linked to a message board... and that's it.

What it's going to take are thousands upon thousands in the streets fighting and demanding for their country back, until then... I guess I'll have to settle for just being one of those few hundred.

No one cares. They are too busy with their tv shows, ipods, downloads, etc etc. Believe me. I went to a protest recently and MANY people did not come. WHY? New Harry Potter movie.

Seriously, what is it going to take? It's going to be too late by the time they are rounding you up for your mandatory vaccinations/ swine flu shot. I hate to say this, but even then... the mass majority will line up. You'll see.

I just can't help but be outraged by everything going on and sometimes I feel like I'm the only one....of a few hundred.

Liberal

Conservative

Liberal

Conservative

It was founded on Enlightenment Ideology. Which, as it happens, was Liberal in thought, not Conservative.

Liberalism is not Socialism. Though most Liberals are also Socialist, it's an oxymoron that they hold the title Liberal.

While the hard-core Conservative, is actually the most Liberal, as they are Liberals who don't believe in Socialism.

This is the ultimate problem of classifying one's political and social beliefs in a system that is, already, to confused to identify one from the other.

I am a Constitutionalists. It's the only document and belief that matters. The rest is immaterial.

Edit to add, the rest of your post I 100% agree with.

Lincoln was a real SOB that started a lot of this crap

What the hell? You do know that Lincoln is the Father of the GOP right?

followed by another liberal Wilson who gave us this damned income tax

What the hell again? You do know that Income Tax was written into the constitution by the founding fathers right?

then Roosevelt who brought us the "noble" idea of social security that has become an abomination

Roosevelt is number 3 on the list of greatest American Presidents of ALL Time!

then Johnson's Great Society which has ruined family values and family life, creating two complete generations of social and financial parasites

Johnson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously in 1980.

The Johnson administration also gave us the FIOA, The Voting Rights Act, The Civil Rights Act...

and now we have the Promised One who's going to close the deal.

With as wrong as you were about all the other presidents I don't have a feeling that your going to be right about Obama.

Article I Section 8

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

It says lay taxes. Now what it does not forbid is the laying of taxes on sources of Income. And because it's not expressly forbidden by the constitution it means it's not unconstitutional to lay a tax on income.

I wish the protesters the best of success. But come 2010, are you so sure we will have elections as we know them today. If the ruling czars think it prudent enough to declare martial law, and stop elections for our own good, it will happen. Don't take anything for granted.

These villians that are running the Congress know their time is limited, but they won't give up power easily. A national emergency, or any number of false flag events is likely before an election. Anything to stop the loss of power.

Watch, and be prepared for the false flag event--it's coming before 2010 election time.

And what will happen in the next elections? some candidate will be picked by TPTB for both democrats and republicans, the media will do its thing and wham bam before you know it.The same old crap will continue. The only way anything will change is for Americans to vote third party and that is not going to happen in a million years because the majority of Americans have been indoctrinated to vote for either one or the other.Nevermind the fact that the media know how to play you all like fiddles and can change your perceptions quicker than you can blink.Thats the truth and everyone knows it.Roll on the next elections...

I will be re-searching this my self, so I don't have a reply atm (don't want to post ignorance now do I)

However, there is a fact pertaining to the method in which the Income Tax did pass.

Then there are many States that expressly prohibit Garnishing of Wages (except for child support) .. if the States are in conflict with the Constitution, or a Federal Law, then 3/4ths of the States would be required to approve the method of taxation that Congress (or I should say, some of Congress) opted to use.

Liberal in thought, as the alternative of the period was the monarchy. You didn't have to be very forward thinking to know that was a load of crap.

Not liberal.

Conservative values that showed up in the Constitution.

Hey how they screwed up the tax code from then on is Congress's business and the states. The states follow their individual constitutions. But federal tax law now as compared to it once was is a screwed up process.

Im just saying that the laying of taxes is well within the right of the government. How they collect them is an entirely different matter.

I was just pointing out to Dooper, mainly that Lincoln was the first Republican President and heralded as the father of the GOP.

The only problem is that the income tax on labor is nowhere in the constitution. That was a lie perpetrated by the Secretary of State in 1913 who told Americans it had passed even though it was never ratified by enough stated to make it a law. Also thrown out by the Supreme Court, twice. Once in 1894 and once in 1913.

There are over 67 million Americans who do not pay taxxes or fill out a 1040 every year. The 16th ammendment only applies to capital gains, and not a man or womans labor.

Source- Freedom to Fascism by Aaron Russo (shown and stated y many including Ron Paul, IRS Agents, Tax Lawyers, We the People Foundation, etc.)

video.google.com...

Just watch the first 5 to 10 minutes to see how Americans got duped and how.

Whats funny is if you also watch at 10:55 on the video and watch for like 8 minutes, you will see how the Federal government straight violated the peoples 1st ammendment right very blatantly, and did it in a tyrannical way like a bully.

You know this is the most heartening news I've heard in a long time. Put the fear of god in those minions.

Here lately, especially in the last week or two, I've seen an incredible awakening to the BS the likes of which I've never seen.

Web bots also expect a big transfer from corpgov media to alternative this summer-fall. I've been watching ATS's site rank climb steadily, and Infowars is getting big too. Ad revenues on corpgov are well off, and you can see that they're scared and smearing us because they recognize the movement is exploding.

It's a good day to be alive.

Two items we need to promote are citizens arrest and turn off your TV. Since February I have cut 6-12 hours of tv viewing a day down to one hour, if that if any at all. Normally late at night I will check history or discovery channel and I know the advertisers are feeling it. I saw a NBC commercial the other day for conan obrien and the only thing he said is 'watch tv.'

That tells me their ratings are taking a serious, serious drop. First they tried to play to the religious crowd for the TV show 'king' then they tried to do a planet x movie and then they went after a comet hitting the earth, all failed. Conan Obrien has destroyed late night tv by moving to his new time all while non stop support for president tresaoniest obama.

The MSM is losing and they deserve what is coming to them along with the corrupt government officials.

Doesn't matter if it was Liberal "then" as compared to "Now" the fact remains is that the ideas in the Constitution are Libertarian in value (which is by definition, Liberal, the rights to self determination)

You are confusing Liberal as to meaning Socially Liberal, which has nothing to do with Government, or Socialist, which is the oxymoron that Liberal identify with.

I for instance am a right-wing extremist. I also happen to be incredibly Liberal.

How can this be?

Lincoln is the Skid Mark of American history. He was a disgusting, vile tyrant who held the Constitution with Contempt. He was a POS. He might have been the first Republican, but anyone who has studied the history of political parties knows that every 20 years or so their identities change, names stay the same.

Like when the Republican Party didnt stand for Fascism or singularly represent the Christian Socialists. It once stood for small Government, small budgets, and Constitutional Law. (Ironically, nothing that Lincoln stood for.)

I could care less how our "history" books look on Presidents.. the history taught in schools is more in line with fairy tales.

But you are right that Congress lays taxes.. no doubt about it. Even before the Income Tax, there were taxes to be paid..

I personally view the Income Tax as Unconstitutional because the Constitution dictates the tax must be the same across the Nation. "Tax Brackets" .... that, imo, makes the tax unconstitutional. It targets specific groups of people for different levels of taxation.

Yea that must be it

Or that people are sick of their leaders in Washington not listening to them. Which is more likely the reason?

Some nutjobs? or the masses being fed lies, watching as bill after bill is passed without our representatives taking into consideration the public opinion on the subject?

You miss understand me... When I say that the democrats are the "people's party" its not true, its the propaganda that they put out there. They claim that they are the one who fight for the poor, for the underdogs. Its obviously non-sense. They just represent a different set of corporations from the republicans.

I see, sarcasm.

Thats true. Only the whole party system is propaganda, Obama seems to be no different from Bush.
