I thought that I'd dare to set up my first thread, I hope
you will be kind enough not to 'troll' it!
Why do we search for a truth here?

The JFK tapes certainly imply a cover-up, but so what?
What can we do about it?

The constant reports of strange craft in our skies are
ignored by mainstream media in a serious fashion,
so could 'they' be correct that it's all mis-identification
and meteors?

Are there unknown or non-classified creatures roaming
our earth?

What REALLY do we want?
And why?

Welcome to ATS. Short answer normal is boring.

It’s hard to believe that with the universe being as vast as it is said to be that earth was just a fluke that life sparked on our rock. Some just don’t want to be alone, some people really want there to be more than just life on planet earth.

Science can only tell us so much. Even with religion you have unanswered question. I really think it is natural for us to search for answers. Gives us something to do.

Hi there

You've got to keep seeking answers no matter how elusive the truth is.
However it can drive you crazy. There's so many conflicting theories on almost everything.
You just have to trust your own intuition to try and seperate the fact from the fiction.
As regards to what we really want and why, I personally seek answers on my very existence here.
What am I here for---still unanswered.
And why---still unanswered.

but I keep searching. x

I can't answer why others search for the truth. We probably have different reasons.

I want to know the truth about any and everything I come in contact with.

I want to have a correct answer to any question anyone could ask. That is an impossibility but doesn't deter me from looking for answers.

My parents were baffled why I, a female, would want to take everything apart to see what made it work. It was normal for my brother to do that but not for me.

Three days after I got my first car at age 16 I took the engine apart and was working on taking apart the transmission when my dad hired a mechanic to put it back together.

Fortunately for me, the mechanic liked innocent little 16 year old girls and he let me do most of the work of putting it all back together. He kept a big smile on his face the entire time we were working,

I've always had a burning desire to do anything a male could do and I have so far not found much I can't do.

I don't like not having an answer when a question is raised. God forbid I am ever wrong. I will sulk for days if/when I make a mistake.

I have a burning desire to know why everything is the way it is. I want all the answers. It's a most frustrating desire. It is a desire that can never be sated.

It does keep me from ever being bored.

Why do you ask the question?

I ask the question because I sometimes
find myself looking through pages of old
UFO books and the format seems always
the same.

Roswell, airships, Area 51, Project Blue book
and some other things called Project Twinkle
and Grudge.

A policeman in Socorro, New Mexico and a small
paragraph regarding MIBs.

But, what has happened since then that as earned
it's place in UFO folklore?
It just seems the same... over and over.

Why anyone would search for a truth here is beyond me!
ATS is the land of wild speculation, outlandish theory and self delusion.
At best it is merely amusement, diversion and entertainment, no self respecting truth seeker would be found dead in here!
Perhaps it could be best regarded as an alternative chat room.

JFK’s assassination has no real relevance today other than a lesson to be learned from history.

This world, and this life we live is a marvelous and mysterious phenomena in its own right and yet people somehow cannot see this and rush head over heels at the merest hint of the supernatural or extraterrestrial. We do not understand what we have, yet somehow we want more.

What do we really want? …more!
