"This is an emergency, If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one,” Latreasa L. Goodman later told police. “This is an emergency."
Goodman told investigators she tried to get a refund for the 10-piece McNuggets, but the cashier told her all sales are final.
The woman was right to call the police. No debate.
Greetings

Ridicule isn't beneficial and won't help or improve a thing. Note, it's always easier to stay kewl if you are not caught in the same situation.

No lie,
I had a short lunch break today and I didn't have time to go home and cook (like usual) so I went to Wendy's to get a salad. Because they are delicious salads.
And they told me that they "salad-maker" wasn't in, so they didn't have salads.
That happened today. I didn't call 911 though, haha, or yell. I was like, fine, I'll have a chicken sandwich because I was already there. But I probably won't go back now.
The funny thing is that in my case, the healthiest thing wasn't available.

you do know that the lady called 911 because the McDonalds counter worker REFUSED to return her money, and informed her to order something else off of the value menu...
I tell you one thing... 1 dollar or 100 dollars... you take my money, and refuse to give it back, you damn well better be calling the cops, because if you don't or I don't... Well, there's bound to be fisticuffs thrown, so police interjection is probably the best option...
my $.02.

To all of you that think it's OK for corporations to defraud and steal from hard working Americans, shame on you...
Not to mention the fact that those same corporations operating the fast-food business are serving extra extra extra super size french fries and bacon cheeseburgers packed with special sauce and extra pickles.
Really? Where again can I get these "extra, extra, extra super size french fries?" And "extra pickles"? I knew their was a pickle conspiracy! I knew it!
Exactly. The corporations are 'guilty' for both stealing from us and making us fat.
Umm, no. I was mocking you and I guess it went over your head. Some corporation is making you fat??? Newsflash - YOU are making you fat.

Why is this on ATS?

I am sure no one will agree with me, and her use of 911 was not right use. But, the cops should have arrested the employee from McDonald's for STEALING, Theft by Deception, and fraud. That woulda woke up the dimwitted employee who obviously, as the story states, violated McDonald's rules on giving a refund.
It is against the law to sell something you don't own and to keep the money, funny none of you seemed to pick up on that fact. You prefer to think it's over chicken nuggets and not outright theft and fraud by McDonald's. I personally hope some unscrupulous attorney has already contacted this woman and is ready to file charges against McDonald's. If hot coffee is worth 1 million, theft should be worth 10 million. Besides I bet no McDonald's employee would ever ever ever tell a customer they couldn't have their money back again if McDonald's paid for this blatant fraud, deception and theft.
If it had been me, they would have been arresting me for assault not 911 calls... To all of you that think it's OK for corporations to defraud and steal from hard working Americans, shame on you...
