So true! We're kicking a dead horse here! I keep thinking of the frog slowly being boiled alive because the heat is turned up slow! Thats us. Its too late, our rights are stripped, our banks are broke and our country is on the road to ruin. By the time we wake up and realize it, it will be too late, which I personally think it is already. On that note I gotta get to bed so I can go to my job in the morning so I can make money to prepare for the coming train wreck. Good luck everyone.

Hi There,

To my way of thinking, the crux of the matter resolves around the ability to see the 'outcome' of their actions...what is the 'real' agenda behind it?

Is it really to safeguard pensions savings, or to provide pension investments with optional investment potentialities? Could it be to use the pool of pensions savings as a means to merely plaster over the widening cracks of the bursting seams of banks?

So far, two different government administrations have issued their own banking bailout schemes to the combined value of $2 trillion, each within a few months of each other...and still it is said it is not enough! Money does not grow on trees, as the old adage reminds us, it is not a infinite supply, but a finite one, which is where money begets its variable value ratings.

Surely, prudence and caution, now counsels government to be unguarantee-able? It can't print money, for by doing so it lessens its value, and of course, places it in greater debt to a 'insolved' FED. If the government is in debt, so are you. Therefore, it is forced to look for reserves elsewhere, and pensions savings pools are one such source. It must always be bourne in mind that ultimately the whole exercise is to stave off the complete banking collapse - which has in fact occurred, from the inquisitive awareness of the man-in-the-street. The symptoms are there to see...the bailouts are mere obsfucations to this fact.

Truly, there was always only going to be one bitter medicine to take for the banks failures, and that was to let them fall, to get rid of the FED, and for government to print its own money. The dollar should be owned by the people through the prudent management of their elected government. The American people have never had a better opportunity as now to take back the dollar and rightfully claim it as their's.

Yes, a total banking collapse would've been a harsh reality, as the obscured collapse already is for many, but it is to the future you must now repatriate the dollar to the American people, and their future generations. Private banking corporations and institutions have no concern at all for the people, only shareholders, and the harsh reality of this, is that shareholders don't give a damn whom suffers, as long as it is not them.

The American fear of anything 'socialist' is part of the downfall, but yet the primary foundation of the cohesion of any society, any institution, any large-scale company is socialistic. Certain cornerstones of any society require the cement of socialism in order for the cornerstones to bear the weight of the society which they help to hold up. In otherwords, those cornerstones should be owned and managed by the people, for the people, through their elected representatives...the government. When this is so, the government is indeed guarantee-able. True socialism is not political, but apolitical, being the only glue that holds any society together.

This does not mean that a country's politic should be wholly socialistic, but that only parts of it should be. By this, I mean run and managed by the government on the people's behalf. Generation of power sources, health, military, law enforcement, and a people's banking institution that is indeed the people's.

You can still have private industry, capitalism can still function, but in a regulated way, without stifling its dynamic. The idea being to safeguard (as best one can) against the cancer of corruption...and let us be only too aware of why we're all now in this finacial mess...corruption on a unprecedented scale. Even now, they are still trying to hide the interconnections of the corruption. Even as the spotlight falls on the corrupt banker, investor, politician, they are still loathe to release their grip on YOUR money. For some reason, they want to save this type of corruption, they want to shore it up and repair it, not by printing money, but by dipping their grubby fat fingers into reserves of YOUR money...and make it all sound like a good and prudent investment opportunity. It's okay, your money will be there when the time arrives for you to need it...guaranteed! Will it, though? Can you trust this admonishment? I believe you can't.

Bailouts are not about saving the country's economy, that is incidental to the exercise; it is about saving themselves and maintaining their grip on the whole rotten edifice...at YOUR expense.

It would seem that our current government is doing EVERYTHING it can to start a revolution.

WTF is wrong with those people?????

Personally, I am amazed that nobody has started another March on Washington at this point. I mean really....where is the outrage?

Oh, yeah...everyone is so in debt right now that their minds are too focused on going to work every day. They can't see the forest through the trees!

You know, in the 60's, people exercised their right to protest. And it worked! It took a while, but the protest ended the wars.

The reason that the government keeps doing these things is becuase nobody is protesting. NObody is Marching on Washington. NOobody is picketing the Capitol.

Sure, I wrote letters to my congressmen and senators. Did they answer? No, they gave me excuses.

I callled their phone numbers to their Washington offices.

Did they listen? No, they put me through to voice mail or put me onto their secretary.
One secretary actually sat there and argued with me, telling me that THIS time, they are going to really watch where the money goes! Ack!!!

The reason that the government keeps doing this is because nobody is exercising their right to protest. Believe me, if Congress saw 1 million people Marching down Pennsylvania Avenue and up the Capitol steps, they might start to listen. But phone calls and letters just aren't doing the trick.

Anyone want to go to Washington with me? Seriously. I'll start a protest.

Because if nobody protests.....if we don't seriously let them know that we really are angry and not going to take it anymore....then the collective anger of the people is eventually going to reach a breaking point, and there probably WILL be a revolution.

And at this point...I'm fine with that. All our politicians have shown without a doubt that they are NOT capable of running a modern day USA. I say we throw them out, start over, get people who are interested in defending the constitution and not in gaining power, and also....this time....put in a 4th branch of government: the financial branch.

This branch of government will have the power of law to balance the budget. I mentioned this in a previous post of mine. Think about it: our country is run a lot like a corporation. A badly run corporation. And why? Because every corporation has a CFO and his accountants underneath him or her, making sure that the money is well handled. They know that they can't leave the accounting to the CEO, because the CEO is the visionary. (Like a president.) They cannot leave the money to the COO or the managers, because they would exhaust it all in a matter of a few years (like the Congress.) So, we need a financial department, and we need to give them the power of law.

And no bill can get passed unless the financial branch and the legislative branch make sure that any law that is passed is funded, and also keeps a balanced budget. IF the budget isn't balanced, and if there is no funding for it, then the law cannot be passed.

Isn't that a much better idea than leaving it to the lawyers (Congress) to balance a budget? They're not accountants....they're lawyers. They're only interested in power and image....not in balanced budgets.

We need to take away their priveledge of working with OUR money, because they have shown us that they cannot exercise that privelidge responsibly!!

Look everyone, they are TAKING anything. They are opening pensions to being able to invest in these if they CHOOSE. The invested capital is guaranteed as is the return. If things got so bad that the govt couldn't hold up to their end of the guarantee then things would be so bad that anything else the pension would be invested in would be screwed as well.

This isn't a bad thing as long as is not mandatory. As long it is a choice, this is a good deal for those relying on a pension.

Yeah, that's not actually a bad idea. At first I was really outraged, but now I'm realizing it might help these people to accrue even more interest. I mean seriously, what's the worst that could happen? If the government DOES go bankrupt and the dollar is a worthless currency, an EX-currency, the pension funds will have no value anyway!

The problem is.... this is about people's lives and what they have worked for all their life, to waste and use the pension plans ......... I am soo outraged at the thought of it.

If this doesn't get people to take to the streets.... I have no idea what would!!!!

Tell the people Rothschild is taking away TV, that might do it.

If only a class action suit against any "representative" that would vote for this.

Or, better yet, if this is to be insured, let those who vote for it submit a personal guarantee that pierces any corporate structure, legal or other rights under any law, position, protection or other that may act as a safety net for them and just sign personal guarantees for the funds, at 8.5% interest right to their assets.

If calling our Reps, would actually help, I would be on the phone constantly.... The problem is I have called them for years on issues....but considering the last 2 BIG issues in my opinion.....

The FISA bill and the BAILOUT - I called every offical and emailed them, including Bush, I found out, they were having millions of calls against it,

But guess what?

They didn't give a _ _ _ t -- what any citizen said... they passed the bills!!

So, sorry, I have given up - thinking anyone in Wash D.C. will listen to their constituents! They don't it is plain and simple....

They are not accountable to the people that elected them anymore....
I have to say, it was hard for me to take, after all the years, I had tried to have my voice heard about important issues.

They are all bought and sold in Washington, I am now convinced!

So, calling does not good

What needs to be done, is what others have now suggested..

EVERYONE GET OFF YOUR BUTTS ------------ MAKE SOME NOISE--------- PEACEFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!

We have to have a crowd like the inauguration crowd on Washington Mall to really get something done.............. with the media attention.......there is NO WAY, Congress can KEEP IGNORING OUR WISHES!!!!!!

I'm with you... "Walk on Washington" ...how can we as a collective group get enough involved to accomplish this? I've noticed that this is going on across Eastern Europe,Greece, France even. Any chance of convincing a Super-Mod to post a Mass P2P if/when we could come up with a concensus on a Date?

Maybe mass E details to Local Radio/TV/Utube???

I don't actually see a "Walk on Washington" Thread Heading, although I see 3 threads with the phrases in them all older or on other subjects...

Oh I can just see it now. Massive crowds in the millions surrounding the White House, rioting, yelling, chanting, and armed with all sorts of weapons, waiting to take out whoever votes to approve such a ridiculous proposal. They've taken "going way too far" to another dimension. The very idea is what puts the "ILL" in illogical. We all knew that nothing would surprise us as far as what Congress and the rest of Washington would do in response to this crisis and boy were we ever so right. Look, from now on, when people tell us about something ludicrous our government is planning to do, my first impulse will not be to write it off and something ludicrous. I will instead consider it a very real possibility. At this point, there should be no doubt that lunatics, not leaders, are running our government.

And by the way, I just want to point out that when I first created my signature way back in 2004, people were quick to dispute it. No one is disputing it now.

[edit on 2/10/2009 by Mr Knowledge]

As far as your signature, America is FAR from the "Root" of ANY Evil. Politicians with Unlimited Terms are the Root of All Evil.

Yeah, okay Agent Nineteen, just wait until the rioting starts. Trust me, I didn't make a mistake when I wrote that. Remember, those Politicians are and represent America. They were also elected into office as well.

See my point is, I am speaking from an area of knowledge. You are speaking from a lack of knowledge and fear. Trust me, if they govt ever tried to take control of pensions from people, there would be a riot.

I remember something shocking in about 98'(not sure of date but this happened)I couldn't believe it that the US government had used the Pensioners funds ,a surplus which was Tabled never to be used other than Pensions hoping that it will never be needed and it was.Than I was reading that there was No pensions being paid for six months and more.

So this has happened before with your(US)Pensioners Stolen Funds.
Sad state of affairs, don't worry I'm not snickering cause it can happen down here if it happens up there.

Zelong.

This blame game has got to stop. There is no Liberal or Conservative. It is all an illusion. While you fight and bicker over here, they're robing you over here. It's a false left/right paradigm. It is the old "divide and conquer" via the problem, reaction, solution mechanism of control. It looks like the Vatican (not Catholics) is the hidden hand behind all institutions including banking. All divisions of the world are schemes (fake realities) design to side track the human psyche.
