By the way excuse me so much OP but since you seem to be new here on ATS and civility and decorum is our trademark.

Welcome to ATS, and what a way to make an entrance!!!

Nice going on spotting those thinks. I would not know what they are but i guess it's just a glitch in the imaging.

non the less....star and flag for your find

(ps: reframe from using capitals to much when opening a thread...

I'll save the OP some trouble.

This is Melbourne and Sydney, AU.

Check for yourselves using the coordinates in the images if you want.

Hey res, yeah I'm in Port. Looks like a few should be around our skies if they are more than image faults.

Who can say?? I guess if all those little brightly colored dots fall from the sky in exactly the same place they could do some damage......

What a weird question.....do they have a icecube-maker in every spacecraft??

Peace

To me they look like a result of processing or generation of the MODIS sensor data, rather than anything suspect.

Just took a look outside and used my camera to get some good zoom. Can't see anything.

In saying that, all the dots seem to be above clouds on the satellite images so I really doubt anything (if there is anything there at all) would be visible from the ground.

I think I found a "doorway"

Haha, nice find.

That makes me think it is more to do with image problems than anything solid. They look like some kind of artifacts on the images in my opinion.

Or, if we want to be very ATS, they could be dimensional rifts in time/space that are allowing giant, man-eating M and Ms to invade our capital cities.

Whatever floats your boat, really.

I have my telescope outside and good binoculars...I see nothing of interest at the moment. I have lots of time to kill today so I'll just keep looking.

If I ask nicely do you think they'll take me away??

If there was a massive invasion i'm sure one of the million astronomers around earth would say something (and if it were that many craft there would be a ton of reports).
I'm not saying I don't believe in UFO's but common sense doesn't back your hypothesis up and as a graphical editor neither do multi-colored pixels

Nothing wrong with questioning and thinking OOTB though :p

Something to keep in mind is that those images aren't produced in the same way as photographs. They're produced by sensors that detect various things then processed and given false 'real'-looking colours.

So what you see is what the processing software thinks you should see based on the data you can't see. Try saying that quickly
.

Did any one think that the satellite(s) may of picked up dust on the lens?? There's all sorts up there, and the Sat's will be the biggest source of (very local) gravity up in micro G in orbit... Maybe it's even picked up a 'swarm' of little particles that orbit the sat?? I can see that happening.

oh no no no....

Nobody would see anything cause as you can see they are hinding behind the clouds.

hiding behind the clouds

Notice how these guys stop exactly were the clouds become thinner!!!

Whahahaha....

these "doors" did catch me off guard
I had to post them, but I really have no clue or make no assumption as to what they may be..

I did notice though that I couldn't find any colored dots over Florida, which happens to maybe or maybe not coincidentally have any cloud cover.
