Mumbai gunman IS from Pakistan and seeks legal help...

news.bbc.co.uk

India says the sole surviving gunman from last month's Mumbai (Bombay) attacks has sought help from Pakistan.

The request came in a letter handed to Pakistani diplomats in Delhi.

Mohammed Ajmal Amir Qasab, who is in Indian custody, admitted in the letter that he and the other attackers were from Pakistan, Indian officials said.

Interesting... Especially now that no Indian lawyers will represent him on trial... (and rightly so).

Let's see how this unfolds shall we? Will Pakistan send legal aid and ultimately admit to having connections with these terrorists or will it be a case of further denial...?

What are your thoughts on this matter...

Well no offence but if that kid is locked up under heavy India guard and demands legal help.... Then asking for Pakistani aid isn't exactly that hard to believe is it?

Didn't his Father identify him too? Wasn't he Pakistani?

Yeah, I don't take this person who speaks with a Pakistani dialect, has four brothers and sisters in Pakistan, and openly admits to coming from Pakistan for his word. It's just makes too much sense to be the truth.

Pranab Mukherjee said it best... "Pakistan will be caught in their lie".

Pakistanis will deny it, deflect towards other issues and attempt to bring in the spectre of war to detract attention from this, but it looks like this time its a clear ultimatum from India:

Destroy the terrorists, or things are about to get very nasty for you.

Bush has warned Obama in a coded way that India will not be cowed by the US as it was in 1971... perhaps its for the best.

I don't know what more evidence Pakistan (or indeed people who don't believe it want). This guy was captured DURING his terrorist attack, questioned and discovered to be a Pakistani. This is in addition to the GPS plot, the admitted Lashkar connection and the fact that wire taps recorded the terrorists speaking in Punjabi Urdu. Too perfect? Whatever man... when theres no evidence you guys crib, and when there is an abundance of evidence you say its a setup because its too perfect. Perhaps its time to ignore criticisms on both ends, and just do what needs to be done to combat terrorism on Indian soil.

I think it is too perfect in the sense that the fact that the man is from Pakistan, does not mean the attack was orchestrated by the Pakistani government.

There are rumors of the attacks being false flag attacks orchestrated by let's say Western powers, maybe wanting to further destabilize the area.

So, this would be perfect.
