OK, hang on.

You're in the UK, yet America is "evil" ? Are you trying to divide by zero again? You do know your country was the "inventor" of the concentration camp?

How many countries has England raped for their own in the 18th and 19 century?

Once again, posters on ATS need to crack a book now and again and read some history. England is a great place, great people, and a great ally. But they are not without some stains on their record, too.

True,

Put the blood of almost 2 million Irish people over 800 years on that record aswell.

BUT

When the balance of power in the world is not as one sided, a the History books of the world will look at the US as going through an evil period.. ie. The George Bush years - Almost like the Hitler years in Germany

Wait wait wait... Did you ever look at what was in the Kyoto agreement? The entire thing made no sense. It's one thing to say "Well, those a holes rejected the greenhouse gas treaty! They support creating global warming!" It's another thing to tell the truth.

Seriously, look at the thing. It called for greater greenhouse reductions for the EU than for the US, no reductions for Russia, allowed increases for Australia, and let India and China do whatever they want.

In the end, it called for a whopping 6% (less than that, actually) decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, while projecting from thin air that this would amount to a nearly 30% decrease by 2010. It's base year? 19 friggin 90. Good luck with that.

And what would it really accomplish? A global turn towards socialism, as established industry (and therefor, economic success) migrates away from countries which have to cut back emissions and set up shop in countries that are unaffected or are allowed to increase emissions. Yeah, another treaty to punish the U.S. and take everything it has and try to give it to everyone else. Sign me up!

Anyways. Rant's over, back to the topic at hand...

Your post shows how truly ignorant you really are.

No nation in the history of mankind has given more of its own blood, its own riches and its own soldiers lives for the freedom and survival of others. The US has done more good in the world than any country, and we are still the nation that EVERYONE turns to when disaster strikes.

As for Hiroshima and Nagasaki... dropping the A-bomb was a necessary act at the time. It quickly brought the war to a close and prevented the deaths of MILLIONS of Japanese and Americans that would have certainly occurred in an invasion of the Japanese mainland. It also kept the Soviet Union from invading Japan, and ultimately carving up the Japanese territory, ala Korea and Germany. There's no telling what kinds of horrors the Japanese people would have had to endure had they lived under a communist regime that was at constant war with the other half of their once-united nation.

I'm not even going to waste my time addressing the other "points" you made. You clearly have an agenda and are consumed with hatred and jealousy for America. The irony is that you likely have the freedom to produce such absurd posts from the comfort of your own home because of America freeing whichever country you live in! Now, I'll get out of here so that you can continue your defense of, and excuse-making for, evil.

This is what your Government is doing to your great country. Sucks eh? So much greatness built and destroyed within eight years. Your administration is the cause of all this hate. The majority of people around the world know this.

The Op shouldn't have tarnished every citizen with the same brush. However there is no way of hiding from the fact that your Administration is corrupt and evil.

And yes, I know England are no better. We're in the same boat.

if by evil you mean, market-driven, inclusive, contradictory, generous, pushy, arrogant, an elaborate English colony, pro-republic, pro-political dialog, pro-diversity and pro-christian/judaism, then Hell Yeah!!
And we like guns and quality food and quality narcotics too.

Leave the Afghan Opium farmers alone. Let's just buy the tar ourselves. Whooo!! If Americans are all junkies then nobody can call us powermongers anymore. Go cultural teets!

OK, let's just let Russia and China call the shots for everyone else.
No. Let's have the Saudis call the shots.
Better yet, we'll rasie Saddam from the dead, apologize profusely, hand him Iran, Kuwait and whatever else his heart desires and let him do his will.
How dare us try to make people think and fight. So unnatural. All these people disagreeing and fighting. Why if it wasn't for the US there would be world peace with sugar plums. Damned americans.

You guys are letting yourself be polarized again, and as such are losing the plotline.

The US is neither as bad as some people here make it, or as good as some people here think it is. At the end of the day wasting time thinking about this bull# and not taking care of your own lives and the lives of loved ones and even neighbours is what the people who control this planet want. Don't you guys get it by now? THEY WANT THE CHAOS. THEY NEED THE CHAOS. CHAOS MEANS A PATH OF LESS RESISTANCE TO WHAT THEY WANT. AND IN THE END THEY WANT YOUR SOUL.

This is what this sea of conspiracies is all about. It is not about the isolated incident, it's all about polarizing people and spreading unrest so people will lose track of themselves and be easily manipulated into thinking they are powerless and irrelevant when the opposite is true. Think positive and strive to make a difference and positive change will come. Wasting time argueing which elitist run country is better than the other and you're walking backwardds.

Thank you my friend.

I gave you a star.
If you people didn't read spacevisitor's post on page four please do.
I'm not one to brag of myself,my country, or anything for that matter.
But what you wrote warmed my American heart.
And you didn't have to.
As you are from another country.
I know alot of things some men do are evil.
and right now we are not on the right path.
But i do have faith.
and we will go back to the true path.
What we have to go through to get there, who knows.
but a large part of the American population are not as evil and as dumb as some would say.
It's good to know that out there in the world, some still understand.
And foregive our tresspasses.
And if the informed masses of America have anything to say about it.
We will get back to the true America.
The one our fathers founded.
I for one would sacrifice everything to make it so.
May god's light shine on you.

Usually I can infer the "they" from a thread, but in this instance, who exactly are "they?"
Your particualr flavor of they? It does matter. Who They Are.

Not totally evil but not totally good either. After reading most of the posts in this topic, I find that the people posting who fall at the ends of the spectrum to be fairly delusional and not altogether realistic in their views.

So it's okay that we invaded Iraq and cause the needless deaths of a million people and chased another two million from their homes? For what?

So it's okay that infant mortality in the U.S. resembles that of a third-world nation?

So it's okay that we're allowing the corporment to pull us down to the level of Saudi Arabia (only the elite and the poorest of poor and no classes in between) in the name of globalism?

Stupid? Yes. Shortsighted at times. Definately. Living in the past. Yep.
But evil? Not at its core.

That pretty much sums up why so many countries hate the US of A.

And the government created this whole fake war on terror because they
can. It was never about terrorism or freedom or democracy. It has always
been about US policies and Israel!. And the US is gearing up for a another
war to bolster their policies and support for Israel. This to has nothing
to do with terrorism.

As many other posters have already pointed out the original OP hasn't returned to answer any questions... Probably because he doesn't have any thing significant to produce except for the same basic BS that the terrorist leaders feed their suicidal men everyday: not saying he's a terrorist but I wouldn't put it past him at this point. Alot of people can point fingers when thats the easiest thing to do, not many people will stand up and fight for what they believe in. We believe that our guys are the good guys because they are doing what is necessary to ensure the peace and sovereignity of our country... not yours. So in essence we may seem like bad guys yes but at least we have some balls. These others forces present in todays wars are trying to win through munipulation and cowardly bombings; to me it would seem that these other forces are the bad guys cause they don't come at you straight forward at least you know what the US is up too. We aren't hiding it, we're trying to be the world police, and yes we think we're better then you... prove to me we're not.

there is no doubt , that USA is evil, increasingly becoming Orwellian/Stalinist/fascist nation ...

it threatens nuclear strikes on third world nations....
it provides 'aid' in the form of weapons ,like how it 'aids Israel , Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc...

US aid always has some evil hideous agenda.....

USA is no doubt the worlds biggest terrorist nation

And 12 people starred the OP. That's 12 people who are brainwashed, racist, prejudiced, dumb, and want to see the U.S. destroyed, while they sit on their hateful unproductive butts and whine about Americans for supposedly being....

....brainwashed, racist, prejudiced, dumb, and wanting to see other countries destroyed, while we sit on our hateful unproductive butts??

Wait a minute?? Why that's.. I think... I could be wrong, but I think that could be a prime example of, oh, I'm gonna go with "hypocritical wastes of everybody's time" on this one.

US citizens actually think the USA is a "Good Nation" and their guys are the "Good Guys".

A good nation? Well, it varies from time to time. We certainly do a lot of good and bad. Sometimes one outweighs the other, and sometimes not. I don't think you can really classify America as either "Good" or "Bad" - only the individual actions in which it partakes. This can be said for any nation. Although I will say that I love and respect many of the foundations upon which this nation were built and would classify them as being very good. Whether or not we live up to the aspirations of this heritage is debatable.

We're the "Good Guys"? I tend to think of us as only being human, and thus, subject to the full spectrum of the human condition. We can be the Good Guys. We can be the Bad Guys. We can be both simultaneously.

This thread should be called "bring out all those who hate the USA."

Another moronic thread here on ATS.

This is what is killing ATS.

I did not nor would I waste my time reading through all these posts.

I really feel sorry for you if you don't see or can not see the extra-ordinary good the USA has done for the world.

You ignornce is beyond belief.

Thank you for your kind words my friend.
But the only reason why I can post my opinion here on ATS today from out that other country is because it is a FREE COUNTRY thanks to many others of course but sorely the USA.

And I and many, many others will never forget that.

I wish you all the best.

1) To call the USA worse than Iran goes way to far. The Iraq war was wrong and Bush is a disaster, but still we must also see that the USA still does plenty of good things in the world. Also, Bush can not do what he wants without permission by congress.
The rest of the world must also be happy that a democratic state like the US is the only military superpower in the world today. I must not think that an evil state ruled by a cruel dictator would be the last superpower.

2) Is this thread not very old ? The reference you give dates back to Thursday June 15, 2006
