You know what, that is a great point, his translated speech does sound very American specific, very California which I believe is Azzams previous home, good catch!

If he is an ATS member, he'd be as far-removed from himself as possible. Think about it. I'm guessing you havnt been to Afghanistan? Most internet access isnt by Dial Up, but you can get Satellite out in the middle of nowhere and its faster than dial up. Its not very hard to set up at all. The only dial up they would have would be through a cell phone and I dont think they would want to do that.

"convert to islam" is standard islamic practise - Bin Laden is following the word of the Koran The Koran teaches that you should give your enemy a chance to convert to Islam - if he does then you do not attack him. He is now part of the Muslim Ummah.
If he does not convert then you are free to wage Jihad on him, for he is an infidel and an enemy of Allah.

Your comments are almost sociopathic. Did it ever occur to you that real, innocent people died horribly, due to the actions of your hero? Were those people your enemies? If so why?

You have the right to say what you'd like, (I, like the great men who fought for my freedom would defend it for you even if you don't appreciate it), but you only have the right because you are posting/writing on a website whose server is located in a free society. Try that with your hero.

We come up with these weird conspiracies about how our govt. is controlling us or enslaving us. (We have to come up with conspiracies and speculate because we have absolutely no proof). Now at least we can freely discuss our nutty beliefs.

In extremist fundamental Islam (i.e. your "great hero"), there's no need for formulating conspiracy theories because their control is being shoved right down your throat.

It is the ultimate control and enslavement. If you disagree with what they believe you're simply killed, following the great Kuran and teachings of Allah, you would be an infidel. You must study/learn, read only what they say you should, think only what they say, under the guise of religion.

If our great country wanted to learn how to control it's people, they could learn volumes from extremist Islam and your "great hero" Bin Laden.

Those guys have it down, they're masters at controlling people.

I don't agree with his calls for violent opression, but how do I know if he really does? I don't speak his language, and I haven't been in his situation so how can I make an honest judgement on something like that after all the lies we've been fed?

It's only been 4 years since Bush decided to invade Iraq. And there are already those who would resist violently to his actions, not just in the middle-east, but everywhere around the world.

Now image the same situation on and off for a few decades.. depending on how you count. I don't think many American's would allow a foreign invader from across the pond stirr sh*t up for decades on end, would you?

I think it really is Bin Laden, in that video. However, his features have changed in 3 years due to illness.

It looks like he was given corticosteroid shots, or mabe has been taking corticosteroid injections on a regular basis to treat an inflamatory illness. Those steroid shots will make you look puffy, as Bin Laden does.

I don't know if they use corticosteroids for kidney illness, however they have said that they believe he suffers from some kind of kidney problem.

Either way, his face isn't full-looking because he's been eating really well, it's puffy due to corticosteroid treatment or some illness which is causing his body to retain fluid/water. (I believe a kindney problem could do that.)

He's very ill and probably has been for a few years. That would explain why we haven't seen him in video before this last one.

Why would his beard be cut and dyed all of a sudden? After many years of letting it grow naturally and allowing it to turn grey. It's not because he is trying to appear strong and youthfull. If that was the case has he also completely lost his mind, and is trying to fool everyone into thinking he really has had a youthfull black beard all along?

I believe he is so ill that it is a false beard that we see. Or the dying and cutting of the beard is a signal.

Funny you say that, isn't Noam Chomsky Jewish? The fact that Bin Laden holds him up to be one of the greater minds in the western world would say to me that he has already embraced the Jewish faith.

Of course, I am of the opinion that "embrace" does not mean the same thing as "convert to".

Please dont lump all Jews into the same box. There are many Jews who oppose all killing. Many who embrace pacifism. Hasidim in Israel dont join the military but they do work as doctors and paramedics trying to save people's lives.
