I just received 2 CDs from the NTSB in response to a FOIA i sent. It shows information and the animation.

It also has some information on the other flights.

I am reviewing the information now and will post it soon.

Good deal Ultima! I hear Nick 7261 also just got his and hopes to post details soon. And guess what? Me too! Damn those guys are getting fast. In my case maybe a bit too fast. Just got back after a weekend away, and found my response in the mail. I had despaired on reading "turnaround could range from 3 weeks to 1 year or more," as I filed my request on June 7. It's Sunday the 17th, so it got here on Friday or Saturday.

Here's the letter:

Pretty much the same thing everyone else has been getting, as JDX said we'd get. Same officer, same wording, etc. So what's on the discs?

I don't know. They weren't enclosed. The letter was folded in thirds, placed in a letter-size 8.5x4" envelope with nothing else. The envelope was not moisture sealed but sealed with clear tape, my address handwritten, along with my case no. and a proper looking address.

I guess "enclosed" means in the mail, but I'm presuming now I'll have my own copy of the green and purple cartoon with the wrong altitude, wrong lat/long plot, wrong final bearing (70 mag in dial, 90 mag in screen), that Pilots for 911 Truth and others have been wondering over. While that remains to be totally verified, this looks like part of the overall pattern, and it appears I was probably in error for doubting its NTSB pedigree.

More news as it develops.

Oh, and thanks for following through and bringing something new to the issue. I look foreward to comparing notes, to see how all these points are lining up. Sorry for previous jabs, nothing personal mate.

Well i got mine fast because i put Department of Defense on the request. I got an e-mail the next day from the NTSB wondering if it was work related.

I told them it was both for personal and could be used for my official work. Needless to say i got it in a couple days

Did you see my post about sending Tully constuction an e-mail. I ask them questions about building 6 and 7 and other things. They responded back stating they could not answer my questions because of the 911 law suits.

Interesting. Well, mine had no such distinctions, but still got to me - at least in part - prettry dark quick.

No, I missed that one. U2U me the link.

Nick says his letter was signed by somene else BTW, not Moye, which would be a first to me. I forget the name.

Usually "Encs" means "Enclosed" to mean "RIGHT HERE". You should already have the CDs/DVDs.

Great to hear you're getting somewhere! Ultima - I look forward to seeing what you've got!

Thanks IR. It's not such a hassle in the end, but more confusing than I suspected. Still no discs yesterday, but the mail comes again today.

Yeah, that's about what I thought enclosed meant too. closed in with this letter. But it isn't. I'll give it at least today and to arrive, which is at least 3 days behind. If nothing by tomorrow afternoon, I'll need to call them as I indeed "percieve this response as a denial of some aspect of my request." Like, a failure to send.

Tuesday come and gone, no discs in the mail.
Of all the people getting these responses, why am I the one this happens to?
People are going to think I'm making it up to get attention.

Cmon Ultima! Let's hear what you got! I just checked my mail - it arrived, but nothing from NTSB. Again.

Does anyone know what "enclosures tpc" means? Third party something?
Maybe "enclosed" means something else in a tpc context.

I have too much going on to call them proper and sort this out just yet, so hopefully Ultima has something to post, or maybe Nick's posting ban will expire so he can share his letter and data. We have multiple discs here ready to go, and only one letter posted yet, and that's mine which did NOT have discs with it.

Are we supposed to not post these letters? Oops if so... P4T did it.
I am confused here.

I hear crickets I think

Well the animation is pretty much the same as on the PF9T from what i can see. I have not read all the data on the other CD yet.

I'm just hungry for info. If you have time:
- Who signed the letter?
- Did the letter have anything new or interesting?
- Could you list the files on disc by name and file extensions? (.csv, .pdf, .mpg...)
- Is there a date created for each of the files you can reference to help clear up some of that confusion?

Thanks

Tamara Crawford (FOIASpecialist) signed the letter.

CL,

You should have gotten your disks with your letter. They may have forgotten to enclose your CD's.
ETA: My letter was folded in thirds as well inside a bubble CD envelope, withthe CD's.

My personal FOIA was signed by Joy White, FOIA Specialist.

But the others, Snowygrouch, Undertow, and now John Famer (he got his own just recently) were all signed by Melba (however, Johns' letter has a signature from Tamara, see below.

Check out the article regarding John Farmer i just put up yesterday. .his letter included.

Glad you guys finally took the initiative to get your own information. Now you wont have to make any more accusations..

Thanks for popping in and for the tips. This one is unique from what I see - it was in a letter envelope w/no room even for discs, and was light and bendy when I recieved it. One sheet of paper only. I had too much scheduled to deal with this so soon. I was supposed to get discs no problem and later on too. I'll call them tomorrow if possible or next week to get the discs on the way. I'm guessing they're what everyone's been getting, which brings us to...

Well, I can't guarantee.
But on this point, sorry for implying the animation was not NTSB - ie forged. I did have my reasons, and questions, and some of those are answered and the rest will be. Then I'll see what I can do to help figure out what's going on here, once I've got my bearings clear and chart a heading (sad attempt at piloty jargon!)

Peace.

@Ultima: give MS Movie Maker a shot - it can compress video.

Regarding comparing files - just MD5 hash them. It should be reliable enough that if both files are genuine, the same data, and unaltered, they will have the same MD5 hash. It will save you the hassel of reading and comparing every line manually. If they are different, then you've no choice but to read them manually.

@CL: Hope you get the CDs/DVDs soon! I'm really looking forward to hearing what you've got.
