Hi Telsa, in my case, it's a hit/miss (more miss than hit) thing if the light is going to turn back on after just walking by it when it just turned off. But I've definitely experienced that before where the light turns back on again after I walk by it again right after it turned off.

But thanks for the information that you've provided for us here on lights. I'm sure there must be a mundane answer for the SLI phenomenon but for the life of me, I'm clueless why every time I pass by one of these streetlights, one of them goes off no matter what time in the evening after nightfall I walk by or under them. This to me is sooooo bizarre and it's really, really annoying because when they go off like that, it's very dark out there. That's why I keep a flashlight in my purse which I use sometimes depending on weather conditions. In fact, after about 10pm here, there's hardly any traffic at all -- it gets real quiet and a little scary too. That's why I also have a small can of mace on my key chain.

I wouldn't call for trashing a paranormal thread simply because no one has proven it is paranormal. I think paranormal implies the unknown may be at work. It can be difficult to prove something strange is happening in your life since it may not be an everyday thing.

I do believe most reports of street lights suddenly going off and on are either coincidences or have simple explanations. With a given number of street lights constantly turning off and back on, some are going to go off and back on as you walk or drive by. Nothing paranormal there. Sometimes reflections off a water puddle or a light beam from your headlight will bounce or shoot up in the air and turn off the streetlight. Nothing paranormal there.

I thought I did see one video where someone actually pointed to a street light and seemed to make it go off. He did this to more than one. Coincidence? Maybe, but it would take some effort to fake.

A simple video of a street light going off when a car drives underneath it doesn't seem very strange at all though. If someone had videotaped me one night, they could have seen several street lights turning off as I drove underneath them. It's possible my headlight beams may have some stray light shooting upwards. Perhaps there needs to be fog or condensation in the air to help provide sufficient light to turn off the street light. I'm not sure.

As far as seeing UFO's go, I only remember seeing one. I saw 4 or 5 helicopters escorting something but all I could see was a cloud in the middle of the helicopters. The cloud had rain falling out of it. I did get exposed to some. I didn't turn green or grow antennae so I guess I'm ok.

I've thought about hijacking an alien space ship but haven't found one so far.

What a heartwarming story. It reminded me that I need to take the clothes out my dryer. Lol -- and great that you didn't turn green but have you looked at yourself lately in a mirror with a black light on yet? That would be the only way for you to know for sure that you have not changed colors -- or for that matter, have antennae'. You may think you are ok.. but do as I suggest just to make sure ok?

PS Hold off on hijacking any alien space ship for now... if you should find out that you are actually green and have antennae', 'they' may not even know that their ship is being hijacked because they would think that you are one of 'them'.

Why should I waste MY time, and video tape, proving something that anyone near streetlights can simply go see for themselves? I mean, YOU are the one claiming you have some sort of gift...so the burden of proof is upon you....

Why can't you simply do what I asked, since you seem to be fond of using your camera?

Also, earlier you asked about measuring a human's EMF level. It is very possible to do. Just go grab an EMF detector, which can be purchased for under 20 bucks for a cheap one, and hold it around your body.

Again, I am not the one coming here making claims of seeing aliens in the front of my CPU housing, faces in the static of my television, strange lights that sound like firecrackers off of my balcony, and certainly not having the ability to turn lights off with my presence.

Random question: How do you manage to stay on the computer long enough to write that entire post, put up a video, etc without crashing it?

You know when a 40 watt bulb is going to die when it looks like the sun. I'll try some more controlled experiments with this soon and upload the results.

Have you ever tried doing this with a second baby monitor in another location? What exactly are you doing when you cause the static?

These are little nuances that will make your case.

The only reason I ask is because our baby monitor makes strange noises also. Turning on a light switch, or the TV, will cause a sound anomaly sometimes. Things like that. . .

Try just touching the light switches in question with the lights already ON. If what you claim is really happening then I would expect the SLI powers to still be able to traverse the non conductive material of the plastic light switch, and blow out the bulb. If this can't be done then I think the action of turning the switch on causes a sudden spike in current, and this, coupled with the bad design of the bulbs are the culprits in most instances. Many electrical devices break right when they are turned on.

Try sitting in front of an AM radio, tune in different used frequencies, and make static happen at will. This may be a way to capture any invisible field you're creating around you.

Thats cool man, you should practice learning how to control this gift of yours. Do some research on Technokinesis and perhaps sit down focusing on a working light bulb and try to make it go dimmer/flicker or turn off - then try turning it back on.

This happens to me a lot too, but i haven't really put in any effort into controlling it. For me, it usually happens when i feel confused like someone will be talking to me and then if i become confused about what they are saying the light bulb above us will flicker. The look on the other persons face is priceless at this moment because the flicker happens at the exact same time that i look confused so they are left thinking "omg did he just make that happen?".

I think it has something to do with our aura's and the fact that our body is a bioelectric machine, we produce electrical signals inside us all the time which could be whats causing the 'interferance'.
