Once again, the left claims that Trump is comparing himself to Jesus Christ.

Some even claimed that when Trump said the name "Jesus Christ", the American flags behind him began to wave dramatically.

Nothing supernatural. Trump just farted. Rumour has it, it was strong enough to part The Red Sea.

Don't worry about it. Jesus knows your frustration. He took on the frustration of the whole world! He gets you!

But you don't get him or me. Your whole class of folks who THINK they know. Like that King with no clothes on, just walking along happy as a Blue Jay....

What a read GE.

Those who consider themselves to be Christians and guide their lives by their Good Book are a wonder to me. The incredible things it has them believing make my head spin. The thing is though, they do. They do believe it is the Word of God. It holds promises and it holds threats. It also holds warnings, lots and lots of warnings with the penalties for not following those warnings.

And this antichrist thing they all believe in, because the Bible tells them to believe in it is one of the biggest warnings of all. And here, in this article is a Biblical quote by quote list of warnings on how to recognize this antichrist.

Now, I"m not a Christian so I do not believe in an antichrist but if I were a Christian I would be freaking the hell out and more of an Anti-Trumper than I already am.

Sorry but no one suffered more than Jesus did.

Perhaps you may like to read a book that explains what He had gone through.

Or attend a church this coming weekend and you will witness what He did for everyone.

Yeah.

That article blew my mind as well.

I generally stay out of politics for personal reasons, but that article perked my ears for some reason.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Though not a believer in the Bible, I have and do consider it an interesting study on how historical people think. Holding that I also think that those who wrote the Bible did so with as much good intent as can be found in our species. These warnings of evil, of the rise of an ultimate dictator to be contrivances extrapolated from the knowledge base of the writers and in such, then holding some value to us all of those who would seek power in this world.

But it doesn't look like you are getting HIM, which is the point.

Did Jeus watch his parents get brutally murdered, and then get kidnapped by their murderers, repeatedly raped, daily, by numerous men every day before he turned 13?

Was he captured during battle and held as a prisoner of war, in a hole in the ground for years. Did his captors torture him by breaking all his major bones broken over and over again, have his fingernails pulled out only to have them pulled out again when they grew them back?

Was Jesus born into slavery and did he watch his children and his wife get sold away, time and time again?

How long did Jesus suffer at the hands of the Romans between Passover and Good Friday?

Gee maw. Look at all those technologically dependent methods sook came up with that haven’t been committed, sometimes as a precursor to a more brutal ordeal.

He did this:

www.newsweek.com...

He took to his social media platform to share a post an unidentified person sent him comparing him to Jesus in relation to his separate civil business fraud case, sharing the Bible verse, Psalm 109:3–8.

"Received this morning — Beautiful, thank you! 'It's ironic that Christ walked through His greatest persecution the very week they are trying to steal your property from you. But have you seen this verse...?'" he wrote.

Liberties were taken.

I don't mind Newsweek.

But come on, let's finally call this what it is.

Progressive woke values = antichrist.
Fighting it = christ

His persecution is an oppression of the traditional values he represents and built his following pledging to reclaim for America.

He's taken on the righteous mantle of this holy war against values being shifted, whether he directly acknowledges or not. He won't make the comparison himself, but he won't eschew the comparison made on his behalf.

I don't buy the window dressing of politics on this one. I feel it really is more about god than country. Trump is assuming an archetypal role. He's a Savior. And even an "anti-hero," because he opposes an emerging status quo that attempts to upend traditional Christian morality.

He is absolutely resonating as a persecuted Jesus character in the social consciousness. He comes for good, according to his website, and he's been everything but crucified if you ask his supporters, and also his website, so it fits.

In that Jungian archetypal way.

Unfortunate and despicable things happen, the afterlife will sort it out. You can believe or not believe in what you like it still doesn't downplay the suffering Jesus had and the importance of His life.
