Putin's allies are already tying to silence his wife. Shortly after his death she made an account on Twitter where she said she would continue his fight. It was banned within 24 hours for no reason.

After significant backlash, she was allowed back on the platform but for some reason her tweets lack the option to translate them that is common on other tweets written in a foreign language.

From his family for one.

True.

It must be awful for them.

Putin is a flat out murdering bastard. And no one will really hold him accountable.

Latest news.

Alexei Navalny's mother has been told to agree to a "secret" burial for the Putin critic within three hours, Mr Navalny's spokeswoman says.

Otherwise, she was told, he would be buried at the Arctic Circle penal colony where he died a week ago.

Mr Navalny's mother has said she has been forced to sign a death certificate saying he died of natural causes.

Mr Navalny's spokeswoman said the opposition leader's mother, Lyudmila, had refused to negotiate with the authorities as they "are not authorised to decide how and where her son should be buried".

She is demanding compliance with the law, according to which investigators are obliged to hand over the body within two days of establishing the cause of death," Kira Yarmysh said.

These two days are due to expire on Saturday.

It's obvious that Putin does not want a crowd of mourners or any kind of memorial to a martyr.

The population at large couldn't have cared less about this guy before last week; most people wouldn't even know who he was. This week the world is in danger because people found out this guy existed and that he is dead. We are such distractable lemmings.

Oh and the US is going to "do something" about this tragic death by placing more sections on Russia? Because the countless deaths Russia has caused in the Ukraine weren't enough to call for these new sections? The west is all supper serious now because of one man's death? It must be an election year in the US and the president has to appear like he's tough and not a gentle old man with congestive problems.

Come on Dandandat3 the world knows who Alexei Navalny was.

If for no other reason than Putin having him poisoned and then imprisoned when he returned home.

We did not just find out he existed, short of those living under a rock.

Until Putin tried to kill him with Novichok which made the headlines across the world and many people became aware of who he was , his return to Russia following his recovery knowing he'd be arrested was also well reported along with his subsequent imprisonment , I think more people know who he was than you give credit for.

His death showed why it's important Ukraine is supported in their war with a tyrant , unless you want Putin to came knocking at your door.

His murder of Alexei Navalny may have done him more harm than good.

Oh well. Musk is Putin's fanboy, isn't he? He supported him many times. Her tweets do have a translate button though, except one. It occasionally happens that a tweet can lack the button. It could be a bug. Dear Elon fired a considerable part of the tech team so bugs might happen.

Alexei Navalny's body has finally been returned to his mother for burial.

Alexey's body was handed over to his mother. Many thanks to all those who demanded this with us.

Lyudmila Ivanovna is still in Salekhard. The funeral is still pending. We do not know if the authorities will interfere to carry it out as the family wants and as Alexey deserves. We will inform you as soon as there is news.

If only there was a way for her to get an independent autopsy done. But I feel that wont be an option for her in the free and democratic state of Russia.

Like it would matter. If it came back suspicious the coroner would fall out of a high story window. Accidentally, of course.

Well, WW3 averted again......

Alexei Navalny "died from a blood clot," a Ukrainian spy chief has claimed.

Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine's formidable GUR military intelligence service, appeared to quash suggestion Mr Navalny, 47, was murdered. The anti-corruption campaigner was found dead in a Russian gulag this month sparking claims he'd been killed on Vladimir Putin's orders.

If that's the case you have to ponder why it took authorities six agonizing days before his mother Lyudmila was even shown her son's body?

A severe kicking can bring about the likes of a blood clot to the brain, was the body not alleged to be covered in bruises?

I really wish people would show restraint when they are being clearly exposed to propaganda and then attempt to propagandize others...

From your link:

An anonymous paramedic who has seen the body told local news outlet

Wish in one claw and crap in the other JinMI.

If you were a paramedic in Russia don't you think you would wish to remain anonymous if you were making such a claim?

Given the implications aka 15 years in gaol or a trip to the front lines.

Im surprised the poor fellow said anything to be honest.

Anyhoo if you choose to believe Alexei Navalny's death was not suspicious that's up to you.

Doesn't matter what I believe.

Do you believe the Ukrainian (insert nebulous spy title here) or an anonymous paramedic?

From the article:

Alexey Navalny died from a blood clot," a Ukrainian spy chief has claimed.

And how does he know?

The Russian authorities didn't agree for independent international autopsy. I will post that link again:

abcnews.go.c... om/International/kremlin-rejects-call-independent-postmortem-opposition-leader-alexei/story?id=107359619

Why if they have nothing to hide? That would disperse all suspicions. Taking a look at the corpse by a paramedic is not enough for it. And an anonymous one? Please...
