How would you rig a football game

With the Chiefs winning the Superbowl to not much surprise, the term rigged is tossed around quite abit around the net.


I've been really curious though, how would/could it even be done?

I think player involvement would have to be almost nil. But perhaps someone has a better grasp on this.

There is no way to rig an NFL game.

It would be to obvious.

Besides, two people can’t keep their mouths shut.

Let alone a 150 people.

was a cool game. basically you can manipulate any game if you buy either the ref or a player - but that's only interesting for the betting mafia. a game like the super bowl would be too much of a hot potato, though, so it's usually only done for lower-level games. as far as i know, the chiefs were slightly favored anyway so ...

I love it. We're on a conspiracy website with threads going back decades about "impossible" conspiracies that turned out to be true and we have people saying there's no way to rig a Superbowl game.

millions of people have seen the game. that's why games that attract little to no attention are postponed. in soccer, this is practiced in lower leagues all over the world. you say to a player (who earns little money): cause a penalty in the first half, you get 5,000 euros for it. and then they bet that a penalty will be taken in the first half or that a certain team will definitely score a goal. that's how it usually works. there are rare cases where referees are involved who then turn the game in a certain direction with questionable decisions. were there any questionable decisions at the super bowl?

Mahomes is not a fast runner, and yet he cannot be caught. I’m not talking tackled, no runner can overrun him! 👌🏻
Last night, Moody could have won for 49’s but in a short distance, kicked the ball in the middle (like a line drive) , you don’t get “lift” kicking the ball in the middle. That’s his one & only job, ya think he’d know that!
I wonder if Purdy took that furlough to the farm to wrap his brain/morals around playing in a rigged system.

I don't know, but I thought it sucked. Very disappointed with the whole thing. I did find it funny, how they didn't pan to the girlfriend, unless a play went well for KC.

But it is funny, that here in my small town, guys were saying it was rigged, KC was going to win.
Of course a lot of us were rooting for SF, just because of the "Laydown Lions".

(but cheerleading ,chess and TAG is a sport)

NOPE... now professional football is classified as ENTERTAINMENT
JUST LIKE W.W.E. (fake) WRESTLING

games are SCRIPTED, outcomes are PRE-DETERMINED
