The settlements are illegal under international law and were illegal under Israeli law until a recent controversial overturning due to breaking the Geneva Convention.

Settlers are radical fundamentalists who aren't representative of the Israeli population and violate the peace deal in the West Bank. Hopefully the move will prevent conflict in West Bank.

How anti Semitic of Biden to call out some brutal, criminal Zionists. As gods chosen nothing they do is wrong, even when it is wrong. Perhaps it was the attack on the Israel peace activists that prompted such sanctions? Maybe they are just going too far ahead of the plan as the West Bank carpark plan starts when the Gaza carpark plan ends?

i think the reason is more down to the fact he wants the arab and muslim votes.

He has sanctioned 4 people. hardly makes a dent, they may all live in the same household for all we know.

For the love of God people, just do when a modicum of research.

The Israeli settlements in West Bank violate international law and are a violation of human rights. It's about time they've been called out on it.

The point is ... he refuses to take care of our own border for the past three years, and for all eight years that he was Vice President, but he reaches to the other side of the world and tries to dictate their borders and their migrations. It's rather comical.

It makes sense when you add in the fact that the Biden regime is infiltrated by Iranian spies.

Which makes no sense given the blanket cover they've given Israel.

Well considering these "settlers" are illegally occupying land that technically belongs to someone else. But that's not why Biden did this. He did it because it's becoming apparent to genocide Joe that his siding with the Israel apartheid state and the Israel diaper force(IDF) was possibly the worst mistake of his presidency.

I understand it's hard for people like you to grasp, but the majority of the people on planet earth support the Palestinians (not hamas) over Israel. When you conflate that sentiment and call people hamas supporters for opposing the senseless killing of women and children you automatically lose the argument.

You all are no better than the individuals that called us all racists for years for understanding that the BLM movement was hijacked by extremists. Just like how Israel has been hijacked by extremists.

You raise a very valid point about the US border but the individuals who've been sanctioned have attacked Israelis and Palestinians, burnt down houses, illegally kicked out and burnt down Palestinian homes and even murdered Palestinians for refusing to be kicked out their own home and land.

It's a very different situaion where the settlers targeted are actively trying to spark armagedon to fulfil a crazy prophercy and are generally hated by Israelis for their millitant/fundamentalist behavour and backwatds views.

The US is supplying arms to Israel (rightly so in my opinion) to try and achireve peace and allow it to defend itself. Israel /US can't be seen as backing the settler behaviour as its actively attacking and provoking war rathter than using it for defence and national security like Israel is rightly conducting in Gaza.

It's also a decision/fallout from the deterioration of US-Israel ties as Netanyahu backs the settlers and refuses to allotw a two state solution with Israel and Palestine which goes against what the rest of the world is trying to achieve in a peace deal.
