The Regime idiots in Washington are trying to strike again.. At least a few have enough sense to say now.

Washington Association of Wheat Growers executive director Michelle Hennings discusses the importance of hydroelectric power and dams as the Biden administration seeks to remove key dams in the state.

It's incredibly sad that so many people can't see past the ends of their noses. This administration is destroying everything that makes America self-sufficient.
Can we survive twelve more months of this insanity?

Those dams messed up the ecosystem for years when they were built, but the ecosystem changed and it is different now but is symbiotic with the present environment including fish and wildlife populations. Taking down those hydroelectric dams will damage the local ecosystem for twenty five or more years. They have to get real experts in this to evaluate this, not politicians. Biden is not qualified to force this issue, neither are some of the high end narrow minded college graduates who spend time reading and not observing nature in person. The stuff they teach in school if far from reasonable sometimes, the teachers probably never have been at these dams and observed how nature has adapted over decades. One size shoe does not fit all applies. We need to pay attention to the people actually out in nature who love nature and have an open mind and the ability to reason correctly, not someone who has a plant in their living room of their mansion. A plant that their hired help waters and takes care of.

Seriously, is this just a big operation of "burn it to the ground and grab what you can"? How is this shell of a "man" still free to roam this country? These policy suggestions are madness at best and criminal on their face.

This is a result of reactionary problem solving. There is a certain thought process that is developed as critical thinking is put to sleep. It is borne of selfishness (self importance) and arrogance, and a show-off mentality, but results in these kinds of decisions.

You become in your own mind a brilliant problem solver because you solve things "theoretically" quickly and obviously soon as they appear:

Homeless person -- give him a home
Person in debt -- cancel it
methane is culprit -- destroy anything that produces methane
car produces carbon -- remove said car
child can't pass class -- remove or adjust passing criteria
not enough orange brain surgeons -- hire orange people until there are
income not high enough -- give people enough
upsetting speech -- ban it
need lithium -- mine more
etc.

The list goes on and on, and the problems are indeed solved in the moment of reaction. The problem lies in that there is zero critical thinking about the extended consequences. You simply solve an isolated problem and give yourself a point (like AI) and then move on to the next. It's the kind of thinking you would see from a four year old who has no concept of integrated problems. It has its roots in egalitarianism and communism, but has definitely found a foothold in even adults today.

Well, expecting people to work for an education is just not fair. All that book learnin' interferes with video games and Tik Toc.

The U.S. Navy will start to enlist applicants who have not graduated from high school or obtained a GED as the service continues to struggle with its recruiting goals.

I don't doubt you at all, but when half of the country believes this isn't just alright, but the way forward, what can be done other than to watch it burn.

The mess they will make after draining a hydro dam will be massive. It will be a muddy smelly problem with mudslides, mud covered gravel beds and ecological destruction they will not be prepared to deal with. They will need to do some massive native tree planting and river bed repair and cleaning up slit buildup, you don't just remove a dam and give yourself a pat on the back for helping nature out.

Obviously these idea people never leave the office and have any real field experience or take the time to talk to real experts who know what to expect when decommissioning dams. It is also obvious they don't have enough foresight to understand the consequences to the power grid or that they are taking out green solutions to carbon producing energy.

THIS.

Recently saw a case where a group wanted to take out an old dam. They were just going to demolish it and there’d be rainbows and birds singing; NO plans for the century of muck, heavy metals, tires, cars or whatever else they’d find behind it.

If they want it out great, just fully think it through first and be ready for cleanup.

Good idea.
Why would any country want to have large reserves of water in times of drought and electricity generated without carbon emissions?

On a serious note,
I am excited at the possibility of humanity discovering or creating a near room temperature superconductive material that could improve the electrical generation of hydroelectric dams and a plethora of other energy generating options.

You only truly have control of you. If you have kids or family, educate them with reason. Carefully and systematically walk through processes of logic and decision-making on personal and social issues. If you don't, just be an example. Truly live by upright principles and truly follow them -- it''s easy to just get lax, but every action can be progression or regression.

The answer isn't some elected official sweeping away the mess. It's like toilet water -- each particle cleaned up makes it one step closer to drinkable, but reorganizing it and just stirring it around never ever will.

Oh David, you haven't realised the game yet. Intelligent people do not join the military because they've used their intelligence to come to the conclusion that it's all a scam. IE. join the military and die for us instead of us dying. Any way you don't need intelligence to pull a trigger or get killed as cannon fodder. Yeah, there are position that need learners (notice not intelligence) Pilots, complicated machine operators etc. but, these are skills learnt "on the job" and no amount of book learnin or college or university teaching helps in the matter.
