It’s a terrible situation but this is squarely on Hamas.

As a micro example, what sort if dirtbag robs a bank, takes hostages, then runs over to moms place to await the shootout with police?

If mom is killed by the police during the process of freeing the hostages and apprehending the dirtbag is it a crime or a tragedy?

Israel is going after military targets like missile batteries that are targeting their civilians. It’s on Hamas the death of their human shields.

Bully for the small minority of pilots standing by their convictions. More bully for the pilots with convictions to take out military targets killing Israel’s civilians, no matter the sacrifice.

I wonder how Israel will deal with the pilots with conversations? Vs how Hamas would deal with one of their soldiers not stopping their human shields from leaving Gaza, or refused to kill Jewish babies and civilians?

The hostage situation isn't a good example in this case.

War crimes committed by one side cannot be answered by war crimes committed by the other side.

The number of civilian deaths are too many.

How many of these 2,200 dead people are Hamas Militants? Most of the dead are innocent civilians.

I wonder of the Israeli Pilots have doubts about what they're doing. They seem to have had issues before and refused to kill civilians. The aim can't justify the means and collective punishment is s war crime.

Apart fro the dead they have flattened entire areas, cut electricity and water supply and ordered an evacuation of 1.1 million people in the middle of these air strikes and when their roads have been destroyed.

That's not a military target. Most are civilians. How many of them are Hamas Militants? I wonder if they killed even a few of them.

As I said earlier, trying to excuse the deaths on human shields is a terrible argument. If the Israeli pilots know there are many civilians down there and some are used as human shields then they shouldn't push the button as they didn't do it in some occasions during the past

This is what pilots do who have morals

The 27 pilots sent a letter to the commander of Israel's airforce refusing to carry out duties, which include track and kill operations, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. One of the pilots told Israeli television that the letter said: "We, veteran pilots and active pilots alike...are opposed to carrying out illegal and immoral attacks, of the type carried out by Israel in the territories.

We, who have been educated to love the state of Israel refuse to take part in airforce attacks in civilian population centres. We refuse to continue harming innocent civilians."

So far the death toll is over 2,200 civilians. Most women and children.

Source on that (reliably honest)? I seem to recall indiscriminate firing into cars, portapotties, and homes, and indiscriminate arson.

Either way, good on the Israelis to still prefer the humanitarian method: surgically removing hamas. How that ends, we shall see.

Now the death toll has increased to 2,700 plus. Mass killings are war crimes and flat earthers Re those who deny the reality of war trying to excuse and defend war crimes in the name of freedom, democracy, and self defense.

In other threads anyone else who tried to defend war crimes has been given very good lessons and has been refuted.

Your original argument is bogus. Israel is targeting legitimate military targets, the civilian deaths are from Hamas using human shields. Israel military operations because Hamas targeted civilians in terrorists attacks. And now Hamas is trying to bargain and hiding behind hostages.

That is not the same as your false narrative Israel is indiscriminately targeting civilians out of revenge. With Hamas just recently, out of most likelihood, killed 70 of their own civilians.
