Is this insane or brilliant…..

I remember one year my husband and I went to get some Chinese Hot pot. It was late January. Chicago gets COLD! The wind off Lake Michigan, sweet baby Jesus, it is bone chilling.
I have never felt such bitter cold in my life. We were in a heated car and it wasn’t enough.
How the heck are they going to put these people in tents.

Maybe that’s the plan, they will have to leave. No illegals shouldn’t be here, but we also shouldn’t be murdering them, and I believe this will
Lead to many deaths, some children.

Also did you hear that part about expecting a lot more?!!!

Not anyone but Chicago's problem in this instance. They chose to be a sanctuary city.

However, I'm starting to develop some sympathy for the illegal immigrants. I'm sure they are getting at the least one side of a narrative and at most, mixed messages.

Children? Left to freeze to death? And Joe Biden free of any accountability?
I wonder if Pelosi is satisfied with this being "Who we are"?

Our own many homeless should get first dibs on any available housing. We don't owe these foreigners a damn thing.

Truth to that but our big copper, steal, iron and gold statue somewhere off the northern east coast says otherwise.
I guess you could place the blame on the French for that whole thing..
In all seriousness though we have a very super cereal problem.

If I mention an obvious lack of an assimilation process, is that considered racist now? If everyone wasn't out of their minds they'd realize before the first flake of snow touches a babies nose that it's warmer and less confusing if they make a u-turn and go home.

Honestly, heading back now would be optimal for those in Chicago. Or at the very least they need to head south, is my advice. Tents become camps, it kinda goes hand in hand and now the type of camp will determine if it's S'mores and ghost stories, or a shared bowl of boot soup and a forced "union" job with horrendous benefits.

You know what....🤔

They're poor, uneducated mostly and therefore will fit right in! No assimilation needed! Matter of fact, the more they assimilate, the more they become Americans! If they get too excited, they'll be playing second fiddle just like the rest of us.

It's quite simple, they've come for a better life. WELL, for a better life you have to work for it. Ooopppss, no jobs. So they want it handed to them free, on a plate, food, housing etc...No better life without working for it, no prospects in the area. ANSWER:- MOVE. But, but, but, The children, the children. Did THEY give a toss about their children to drag them thousands of miles on an outside chance that it MIGHT be better here than there?

A nice silly example for you:- Why didn't they move to live in the middle of a desert, as Chicago, there's no jobs there either, so why? Because there isn't a community to scrounge off.

Only for immigrants that plan on entering the country legally.
As it was when the statue was erected .

i think the real question here is will there be renewable energy sources to power these tents?

They will have people sized hamster wheels hooked to generators. Not only to generate energy but the increased body heat from them will provide natural heating.

Somebody call Dyncorp, quick!

If tent cities are good enough for our troops, they're good enough for anyone

just googled them, comedy gold within a few paragraphs on the wiki

"On November 23, 2020, Amentum, a contractor supporting U.S. federal and allied governments, announced that it has closed the acquisition of DynCorp International (due to multiple human trafficking cases)"

"DynCorp International provides aviation support to reduce the flow of illicit drugs, strengthen law enforcement, and eliminate terrorism"

chicago.suntimes.com...

There is a plan to bring housing, jobs and stores to the site in a development known as Morgan Park Commons. Abraham Lacy, president and CEO of the Far South Community Development Corp. — the nonprofit behind the project — said he expected to begin construction in 2024, as originally planned. He declined to comment on the tent plan but added that a key goal of the Morgan Park Commons project was to bring residents back to the neighborhood, and he hoped the city could find a way to look at the new arrivals as an opportunity. “I see a benefit to any migration to our neighborhoods,” Lacy said, referring to how Chicago was built by migrants during the Great Migration. “To any city economy, it’s a great thing to have immigration come through.”

Lots of interesting wording in here..hmmm

What comes to mine for me is… projects, gang wars, slavery…

Chicago/Illinois has lost so many people, they need to squeeze the blood out of anyone they can get, who else will pay the teachers pensions?
