Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) keeps "winking out".

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Wednesday appeared briefly unable to respond to reporters’ questions at a press event.

It’s the second time in weeks that the Republican leader has struggled to speak in public, requiring help from people around him.

Fresh questions about McConnell’s health arise at an especially fraught moment for Republicans in Congress.
Escorted Away :www.cnbc.com...

Officials in the Senate want Diane Feinstein removed as her health deteriorates. But isn't that up to the people of California? Likewise, other than Mitch McConnell himself, the citizens of Kentucky should have the final say, regarding him staying on as their Senator...or not.

Some states have the ability to circulate a "petition" to remove an official. Maybe they all should have that ability.

The USA too, for that matter. We could remove a President for failing to do his/her job, before the 4 year term is up!

They can via impeachment.....

By the people you voted into office....

It's up to each state to remove these people from office. There is a 'no confidence' vote or something they can do. I can't remember now. But considering that the people from those states voted those people in fully knowing they were too old to do the job, I don't expect that they will stand up now and admit they made a mistake.

Doesn't Diane Feinstein have her kid doing all her bill paying and legal paperwork and everything cuz' she's too far gone to be able to take care of herself anymore? I think I read that somewhere.

Sure we should but that's not how our republic works. A petition is really your best bet, well that and put pressure on his peers to ask or use others means to get his old arse to step down.

Seems like a back-door method. He/she didn't get into their position like that.

In my state Governors can be recalled. But why can't Presidents and congress be recalled?

Obama (ObamaCare) and Pelosi (Bypassed Impeachment Inquiry of Trump) and Reid (Senate "Nuke Option" Used) began changing how our Republic works.

There's almost nothing that can't be made "legal" these days, if the implementer is allowed to get away with it.

That's not true. Trying to stay in office after getting voted out hasn't been made legal yet.

I'm actually a fan of a system where it's easier to get people into office than kick them out.

It's a reminder that elections have consequences, of the responsibility one has when checking a ballot box. And we don't need a system where people are lined to remove an official the minute they take their oath. (Make it too easy and that'll be every presidential election, along with the close races that flip Congress.)

Yes there are plenty of poster children for term limits, and that falls under elections have consequences above.

That’s because election fraud by the Democrats hasn’t been made illegal yet.

It's critical for the next Red Wave to give a majority MAGA in the Senate, so the Republican President can get "swamp draining" appointees approved.

A Senate Republican majority of typical Republicans wouldn't approve of "cleaning things up", because they're raking in cash and favors through corrupt practices.

You're right. Evil people don't age gracefully do they. George Soros was a handsome young man. But now he looks like the Star Wars Emperor.

There should be a no confidence vote that's real simple: It will happen to every "seated" official (fair is fair SCOTUS); if 51% of registered voters won't bother to vote to keep you in then you're out.

The people who put him in power are worried about how many sexes their are, what pronouns to use, how to turn your kids into the opposite sex and Trump.

That system sounds far more fair than the "term limits" some are advocating. Why have "limits"? If the people are willing to keep a semi-comatose official representing them, it's their business.
