Niger has been fully independent for sixty years. Time for Nigeriens to stop blaming others for their multiple failures in government, coups and democratic re-launches, and subsequent failure. They receive large amounts of aid from the West, notably the US and some European countries, which is now threatened by the most recent coup.

Uranium is exported mostly to France. If that export route is compromised, then France will go elsewhere. The potential for Niger will be undeveloped because mining companies need stable governments before they invest.

So, Russia is helping to destabilise Niger. Nigeriens will suffer, because Russia won't backfill Western aid or replace France as the main export customer for Niger's uranium.

The only people who benefit would be the leaders of the military coup. Niger, that is one of the world's poorest countries, will just get poorer.

Perhaps a warning from the past will show some of you, that it was all WARNED about previously, because the threats you proclaim, have always existed in every culture, not just ours;

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist."

Eisenhower's Military-Industry Complex Warning, 50 Years Later :
Use Due Diligence

Instead of bickeringly debating like a preteen drama queen, get out of your heads, lose the ego and try to rid your selves of own biased opinions. Opinions, are NOT facts.

Niger has never been independent
m.youtube.com...
u

What aid do Niger get from the West, they don’t want aid from the West
They want the West out of their business, to be left alone, Niger said no more gold to France, no more uranium to France
You clearly have no idea what’s happening, clearly none
What are you doing in this conversation with not a drop of knowledge about the country and geopolitical situation

France did control the Niger uranium for decades
Niger has stopped exporting uranium and gold to France, they don’t want to give it to France anymore
How can you say the “route” is compromised, Niger doesn’t want to sell France anything, Niger said “no more”
Where is France going to go Paraphi, Russia, Ukraine, you havnt a clue what you are talking about

But you are right, Russia is orchestrating the problem France is facing and arming Niger.
Looks like Niger is going to liberate themselves from France and the US

Who cares, so what
How is that relevant, some silly whataboutism
It’s not Somalia, it’s another part of Africa, it’s in Central West Africa
What about Timor, Ukraine, Afghanistan

Or are you that myopic you think all Africa African people are the same

I do know Niger has a good history of being incapable of political stability, and that has contributed to the country's poverty. If you think yet another military coup is going to advance the lot of anyone in Niger, then you are living in Dream Land.

On the CFA Franc, which is the point of your YouTube vid. If any country wants to introduce its own currency, then that's for them to decide. Personally, I think the CFA Franc produces stability, but it does abdicate sovereign control of one's currency, and that's not what I would want. The proposed replacement of the CFA Franc is called the Eco, but there is no guarantee that will work either.

Well your opinion is irrelevant
African countries have now turned their backs on the US, Europe and NATO, told them to F’off and joined up with Putin, even employing Wagner group and as of now, buying weapons of North Korea, weapons off North Korea
If all that is not a clear indication of the African attitude to the West, well then you have no idea
France has destabilised central Africa with the currency for decades, where you tell me they are Africa’s saviour, how do you do that.
Admit you havnt a clue or just stop posting like you think you have a clue

Not interested in your opinion, history is being made and the West is losing its neo colonial powers in Africa
Watch the US and Europe try and brutalise its power back in Africa, just like they did to Libya

Unfortunately now for the West, they have to fight Russian in Ukraine and now Russia and China in Africa

Remember, there was a Russia Africa summit last month, this is an African Russian plan to oust European colonialism

Just stop, try and understand that Europe and the US are corrupt, as corrupt as Africa. Europe and the US have been draining Africa of its wealth for decades

That's not entirely true, is it? If this is what you actually believe, then I think you live in a simplified world. Africa has a wide range of countries, and does not work in the way you think. You do understand that Africa is not a country?

My ears are closed because you havnt a clue what you are talking about

But you are right, not entirely true, oversimplified
But, clearly many African nations are embracing Russian support over European and US support
To the point they are now overthrowing European proxy governments, this could well be the start of something very large in Africa

You should learn to stop being so dismissive of different perspectives. You do not know my background, or my connection to Africa.

You're chasing the view that Russia is the new "friend" to Africa, which I simply do not agree with. Russia may hold an African summit, but the one in 2023 had fewer heads of state attending than the previous one, so hardly a positive trend, eh? Sending Wagner mercenaries to prop up one dictatorship, or another, is not going to work in the long-term, because that's an exploitative relationship.

A military coup of a democratic government is not progress for Niger, or Africa.

Yeah, more like the African countries will work with whomever on a limited basis to achieve their goals. Not really a "turn to Russia" (although China has made inroads on the continent).

Cheers

Yeah, anti Imperialist sentiment is starting to gain momentum in different parts of the world. The US has a base and over a thousand troops stationed there apparently..... Wtf don't they have troops?

Enjoyed this purported response after fat warpig Newland went over there and started throwing her (ample) weight around and making demands (before being told to basically f@#k off lol).

In response to the suspension of US aid the Niger govt said - "We don't want your money, use it to fund a weight loss program for Victoria Newland."

Yes, it does seem the West has been found out, this Ukraine war has left Europe exposed big time in Africa, kinda like a domino effect, a ground swell
Algeria has thrown their weight behind Niger, a big FU to france
I hope France get smashed in Africa
Problem is France can’t afford to lose Niger, so, backed into a corner, no choice but war.
Maybe the average frenchie is sick of the war in Ukraine and has no stomach for it, not that Machron will back down.

How has the war in Ukraine left Europe exposed in Africa?

The war which Russia instigated, and continues to prosecute, has impacted the global economy and this has had a knock on impact, especially on poorer countries, such as those in Africa. Higher costs of fuel and food staples.

Algeria has thrown their weight behind Niger, a big FU to france

Er, nope. Are you just making this stuff up?

The Algerian President has condemned the coup. Google it - it's in the public domain. What President Tebboune has cautioned against is a rush towards military action by ECOWAS, which is a collection of West African states, who have also condemned Niger's military coup. Algeria is not a member of ECOWAS.

The war which the US sought with this coup and with all the promise those came in power because of the US (certain/choosen persons) with all the support with weapons and money against Russia (before Russia took action)!. Which they always do worldwide. So they can sell more weapons (in example to Europe) & also sell their own gas (in dollars), and keep this so called control in this world for their own profit!
Starting coups, starting conflicts, confrontations, even south of their own border, most of the whole of S-America even (nearby)!, instead of growing together stronger where both prosper! No, destroy them economically, which is just stupid and inhumane. Even forbidden to sell them (western) medicine, or medical equipment often, how they become so stupid/evil???

The US is broke, they need more, they don't produce them self, 70% of their economy = consumption by the consumers/citizens, on top of that their privilege with having the world reserve currency, they abused big time, with too much money going to 'defense', even though they them self never get attacked, but have 200+ military bases worldwide. All for controlling their power, making sure everything gets sold in dollars, oil, gas, and other resources = free money to print! But now the debts is growing so quickly, payment on her debts even cost more money now then they do on defense each year.
They even destroy economy's even just near them, south of them, south america, with sanctions, coups... let alone far away.
They don't care about Ukrainian people, let alone the people at home, or even about their own military people when they got send far away to kill and loose limbs or have ptsd for example and end up in the streets, but I can go on and on...

LOL good lord, some of you fellas have got it real bad. I'm in part of the "commonwealth" formerly known as the "British Empire" until things fell apart and the Brits managed to avoid utter irrelevance by becoming a US lapdog. Not that it has any relevance anyway, we've been a defacto US state for the past 80 yrs.

Only time anyone spares a thought for the ol' Empire is when discussing history. Such the strange idea they had of declaring land peopled by those without white skin a terra nullius...and of course the genocides that followed.

The term "anachronism" is relevant.

Though it does afford the opportunity to say a kind word about US Imperialism. As much as I dislike it, they are like a boy scout troop compared to the Brits. The most racist and destructive Imperial brainwashing cult ever to infect our planet.

Apart from that it's all good though lol.
