RIP Paul Reubens

Actor Paul Reubens, who came to fame in the 1980s as children's TV star Pee-wee Herman, has died years after a cancer diagnosis, his team said Monday.

He was 70.

NBCnews.com, July 31, 2023 - Paul Reubens, actor best known as Pee-wee Herman, dies at 70.

What seemed like a minor character, the Hamburger Man, in a Cheech & Chong movie, turned into a franchise that even Mr Reubens tried to kill (or however you want to spin that story).

Pee Wee Herman is still beloved for the childlike wonder he brought to the world!

So sad, I wasnt a kid when Playhouse was a thing but I still watched it. Hilarious show. Also his Cheech and Chong role and his first movie were also outstanding.

When I was in the USN, my best pal and I were in a philipino "buy me drink" club and my pal put "tequila" on the Juke box and did the Peewee dance on their shuffleboard. It was so funny. We got kicked out, but that memory makes me smile to this day.

I don’t know that I will get a response to my question, but the point of it is that people go all nuts about how big a legend Elivis is. Ain’t nobody remembering him as a paedophile at all! However, why not? He was regularly putting it in a 17 year old Anne Margaret and he did the same when he began dating his 14 year old girlfriend, Priscilla. On the other hand, Paul was never even accused of abusing a young person. He was found to be in possession of a collection of photographs from the Victorian era to the 1950s and everything in between. And I guarantee he wasn’t getting off to that old antique porn. It was a collection of old erotica which, yes, likely contained photographs where a number of the subjects were likely in their teens. There’s such a huge difference in having in your possession a collection of basically ancient erotica photos of guys under 18 (and remember back in that time, all gay erotica had to be concealed and hidden) and actually banging kids. Elvis is immune though in your eyes, guaranteed. Why does he get a pass yet Reubens, a wonderful person and a guy who loved kids in a totally normal healthy way, you treat as the scum of the earth not even worth scraping from your shoe? It’s disgustingly hypocritical. Reubens suffered enough, he so Luis be remembered as the amazing guy he is!
