Don't know what you mean by cluster bombs, the cluster bomblets? No, those aren't guided, but cluster munitions in cruise missiles and other airborne bombs certainly are or can be. In any case what is being discussed here are cluster munition 155 mm artillery shells, which AFAIK have the same range and accuracy of other such artillery shells. And as for accuracy, given the fact that the bomblets scatter, not as much accuracy is needed.

Yeah, so disgusting to supply -- not deploy -- cluster munitions to the Ukrainians to use against the Russians, who invaded, have committed multiple war crimes and atrocities, and have used cluster munitions themselves against civilian targets.

You're talking about a country that made incendiary bombings on civilians a favourite past time and vapourised tens of thousands of innocent civilian folks just going about their day with nuclear weapons. Then somehow spun that as necessary and even virtuous. One that pioneered the widespread use of chemical weapons, is well known for indiscriminate bombing, uses government sanctioned torture in dedicated torture facilities, has a "storm the Hague" bill to keep their war criminals safe. Cluster munitions might be a step up for them.

Though I agree with what you're saying. Their effectiveness against a modern army would be doubtful anyway, and more than likely a terror weapon for use against civilians. Seems they are running out of ammo, probably old stock they need to offload somehow. Got to keep that war industry ticking over. Think share prices, political donations and executive bonuses.
