US officials, Victoria Nuland had finally admitted that they had being working on Ukraine's counter-offensive plan for about 4,5 months.

What Victoria Nuland says just further shows that most of the Military decisions are likely pushed by US not Ukraine.

This proxy war is slowly turning into a hot war with US/Russia.

So what, I hope they have been.
It's not like Russia hasn't been relying on other countries also.

Let's hope this doesn't turn into a ground war between a super power and a third rate power.
Russia can barely make ground in a mess of country.
Like hell they could stand up to a country like the US.

Considering what is happening the Southern Borders, America is becoming a far more third rate power, while using blackmails and intimidation on other countries...

Like hell they could stand up to a country like the US
You mean that great America turned Libya into a failed state and opened a massive human trafficking exploitation in the region of Black Africans.

Due to America's obsession of the spread of hegemony? by submission.

America has done that well for the past 20 years with the wars in which they haven't won but created many mess in the middle east for a example.

The Taliban in Afghanistan & Al Qaeda in Iraq did a pretty darn good job with 1980s Toyota trucks and weapons from the 70s, 80s and 90s against the US

Nuland did not say that. You are making up a fantasy to fit the facts. What she said what that they (the US) had been working with Ukraine - she did not say that the US had been "making most of the military decisions", or infer that it was likely that was the case.

Why is it a surprise that the US, the UK and a number of other nations are working with Ukraine to resist Russia's invasion. Did Russia really think their invasion, against a country transitioning away from corrupt governance and into the developed world, would go unremarked?

Or is this just another "Russia is the victim" grievance?

Not surprising in any way. This is a war the US has planned for quite a while and is funding and directing (has been for almost a decade). Ukraine doesn't do anything unless directed to, or gains approval by the US. That it is a US - Russia war is no great secret, the US are just using (mostly) Ukrainians as the cannon fodder.

Then Russia should go back home before they have an ""accident"".

As to the US helping plan the counter-offensive that's in the post.

I suppose you need some excuse for when poor little Ukraine kicks Russia's arse all the way back to the permafrost from whence they came.

Freedom to Ukraine and down with Putin's piss-poor war and invasion.

So you are saying that the US planned for Russia to invade Ukraine?

I think you may find it Putins Russia that instigated this ""special military operation"" against it's peaceful neighbor aka war and invasion under the guise of hunting the Nazi.

And how many porkies did Putin tell about mere military exercise and build-up of troops and equipment on the border being nothing to worry about?

Lies, lies, and more lies is all that come out the man's puss.

As to cannon fodder well see the Wagner Group and the likes of Bakhmut.

The reality of this statement is chilling. If they run a war as efficiently as they run everything else then I might as well start learning Russian.

It's not about what Russia did...

It's about why the west chose to lie for a long long time. To it's own people.

We have been served propaganda, not only from the Russians, but also from our own "leaders".
They know that if they didn't lie, the people would choose not to intervene, because.... war is #ing bad and it ruins the economy, especially for those who are struggling to get by. End of story.

Technically it is also direct misinformation, unless ofcourse all voting politicians knew what was going on.
Neither they nor the people have been in a position to make ANY kind of informed decissions regarding support or emotional insentive.

Let's not forget, Ukraine is still and has been for a long time, THE most corrupt neighbouring country to Europe. Doesn't take too much googling to confirm this, from all the media, who conviniently now are more focused on "justice" and "democracy" than corruption.

Are we forgetting the CIA assisted coup in 2014? Come on... this war didn't start in 2022... it has been going on for a long time.

Do you have actaual credible evidence to support the claim that the 2014 Maidan revolution in Ukraine was due to a CIA coup?

In January and February 2014, clashes in Kyiv between protesters and Berkut special riot police resulted in the deaths of 108 protesters and 13 police officers, and the wounding of many others. The first protesters were killed in fierce clashes with police on Hrushevsky Street on 19–22 January.

War has been happening throughout recorded history.

It's what we do, as unfortunate as the case may be, as a species, can't change that fact without altering the basic paradigm humanity has followed, and continues to follow, since the beginning.

The difference being we now have the capability to destroy our entire civilisation, and not just other nations.

Nor does it mean that we should not strive towards something better.

That being said a lot of people are still old enough to remember the last cold war mate, we know which side our bread is buttered, and it's sure as s@it not Russia side up.

Anyhoo and as always, freedom to Ukraine and down with Putin's war and invasion.

Apart from the inconvenient fact that she said no such thing, do you think that Russia is running it's War "efficiently"?

Yes, you might as well start learning Russian.

Then you could move there?

You should join the Ukrainian Foreign Legion. They need good people dedicated to stopping the Russian Orcs. Can they count on you?

Why do you say that? This is what a proxy war is actually like. Why would the US not use all non-engagement tools at its disposal to help Ukraine?
