Scott can say he talked to whoever he wants. That doesn't make it true. And even if he is actually telling the truth, I don't see anywhere where they say that cutting 10% of agents will make their job easier.

we could easily solve this by legalizing drugs and helping set up a new industry throughout the America's, it would stabilize the whole region by bringing in billions from legal sales to the US market and basically dissolve every cartel in one fell swoop, would lead to an agricultural and industrial boom throughout the America's that would turn the whole area into a land of great powers and a few super powers.
honestly the only reason neither party does it is because for Democrats they need the people desperate to escape poverty, violence, etc, so they keep up immigration to bolster their numbers come election time using fear of being denied citizenship and deported back to force them to vote for Democrats, as for Republicans the violence, poverty, cartels etc are useful to keep pushing the fear narrative to keep their own voters loyal, either way its fear politics backed by state violence.

Again where did bring up Trump, the border is a mess, it's always been a hot mess. Because we let too many in at the same time when it needs to be regulated for a number of really important reasons

I can live with the total numbers but it should be at a daily weekly and monthly flow rate where everybody can be processed and have the best chance to be successfully assimilated into the US

right now we aren't in control and we really haven't been across multiple administrations.
