Woke school district learns a hard lesson about 'discriminating' against a Christian university

Miss LGBT Bunny Ears and her band of bunny eared friends have been smacked down for religious discrimination and the school district gets to foot the 25K bill in attorney's fees. It is a pity they do not get to foot that bill themselves.

They think it is over... 10 to 1 they try to force the Christians out. Bunny ear crazy will not stand for this.

Arizona's largest elementary school district has shifted course, voting to allow students from a Christian university to teach there once again, Alliance Defending Freedom announced Thursday. After Alliance Defending Freedom sued WESD, the board apparently saw the error of its ways, with four of its five members voting at Wednesday night's meeting to enter a new agreement with ACU. The district was slapped with $25,000 in attorneys' fees as part of the settlement.

Wearing cat ears to a February 23 WESD meeting, board member Tamillia Valenzuela expressed her opposition to ACU students helping mitigate the national teaching shortage and recruitment difficulties.

"At some point, we need get real with ourselves and take a look at who we're making legal contracts with and the message that is sending to our community. Because that makes me feel like I could not be safe in this school district," Valenzuela said.

"By discriminating against Arizona Christian University and denying it an opportunity to participate in the student-teacher program because of its religious status and beliefs, the school district was in blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution, not to mention state law that protects ACU’s religious freedom," said ADF Senior Counsel David Cortman.

That's not the real news here, not sure what is but this smells like priming Christians... Might be used to justify trans teachers too or some such shizz...

I suppose they don't teach religion and don't interject their believes in their teaching, if they manage that I don't care what one believes. But if a Christian teacher have to interject their religion and morals in the teaching I'd have an issue too. Just like i have no beef with trans teachers that don't make it aboit trans all the time.
To be fair, I'd rather have a Christian teach Christianity than a trans. And I've rather have a trans teach about trans, than a Christian teach baout trans.

I agree with your second statement and wonder about mutilation on minors in general, like piercing, circumcision, tattoos, heck lately I even wonder about tooth correction.

There is lot's if # going on with a much higher occurrence when it comes to non-essential irreversible treatments minors...
So while I get that you don't like that happening to kids, as i don't either, i wonder where do you tow the line?

is it like every sick practice on minors we had till now is not a problem but this with such a low percentage is the epitome of child abuse?

We have discussed already that circumcisions have nothing in common with mutilations of genitals that happen on the basis of an absurd and often dangerous ideology. One is by far worse than the other. No comparison.

On the topic of this thread. Discriminating against a University because of its Christian values is not a wise decision.

I think it's the sound thing to do. Just because your major is in teaching at a Christian University doesn't mean the degree in teaching isn't applied secularly. They overstepped their bounds and basically said, "Your teaching degrees aren't valid because it's from a Christian university." My friend, who got a " Masters of Education" from a Catholic university (USD) would disagree.

It's not like this allows the student/teachers to go in there and violate the Church/State separation mandates and teach about The Resurrection of Christ.

And I don't mean to ramble, but that's actually an avenue worth exploring.

Woke essentially fits the criteria of religion. Call Woke curriculum a violation of church/state separation. Use things like the Satanic Temple to demonstrate how these are religious ideologies.

If you really pick apart what a religion is, what it does for the person and their mind, and how they use it, you'll see a 26 gendered liberal prattling on about sexual identity would actually be WORSE (and way more religious) than a Christian doing a lesson about the dichotomy of biological reproduction from a science standpoint. There are angles to pick it apart as religious indoctrination all over. No greater enemy to the woke than science.

I feel this mess was partially created by liberals "lawyering up" and scaring everyone into being more woke. So maybe it's time to do the democrat thing and appeal to federal rulings to fight this battle. Just keep suing. Just keep challenging it. If action must be taken, take action. Start petitions. Start legal initiatives to define the woke as religious principle. That's how they did it.

Just curious, are there going to be bans on the thousands of very wealthy teens getting boob jobs, nose jobs, lip fillers, etc? That's not sexualizing them? Or it is, but it's ok because they are mostly doing it to be attractive to men?
