The UAE's Emirates Mars Mission has taken the closest flyby yet of the Martian moon Deimos at just 62 miles from the surface , at just nine miles long Deimos is less a Moon and more a captured piece of rock , possibly a piece of our Moon .... thieving Martians !

Slideshow of all images captured.

Weird how those two moons appeared in Bunions, A Pilgrims progress years before they were discovered , and Buzz Aldrin going on about a monolith on a moon of Mars .

And they appear to be hollow , that rings a bell somewhere

some good old time Ats at last far more interesting than politics any day

Why would you think it to be "CGI nonsense"?

I mean you do believe in space travel and our ability to launch probes to the planets and moons of such?

Sputnik 1 was a thing you see, never mind the rest to come after.

It is clear as day that it is a computer generated video which NASA admit to doing. It's 2 dudes in a room.

You think that its real? I guess VVB, Disney, Crowley, Parsons and Hubbard did a great job after all.

Dollars to donughts that is a fake image. But I will be content to keep "fooling" my self for now until it all comes out.

In the States, there is a saying about "one getting their (bum) kicked around the moon". That photo sort of reminded me of that saying

Cheers

Its a ""Slideshow"" of all images captured Nirishman, not a video per say.

Why would you think the images are fake?

The images are from the UAE's Mars mission not NASA.

Yes , it's real.

Your problem there is that these images are not from NASA.

Flat Earther Flat Earther... kidding of course but can you provide a brief synopsis of why they would use CGI on a nondescript trip to Deimos. I think it looks like CGI too, but thats just how good CGI is really.

is there a link somewhere where I can read about how this is CGI nonsense?

A little more on the mission.

Other new measurements include those from EMUS, a spectrometer that measures extreme and far ultraviolet wavelengths. The spectrum of reflected sunlight measured from Deimos was found to be flat and featureless, with no strong signatures of carbon minerals or organic materials, according to Justin Deighan, EMM deputy science lead and a research scientist at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder.

“These findings suggest that Deimos may not be a D-type asteroid, the kind we’d expect if Mars’ gravity had captured an asteroid into orbit,” said Deighan, science lead for the instrument. “Thanks to the orbiter, named ‘Hope’ (Al Amal in Arabic), we expect to build a better understanding of the origins and evolution of both Phobos and Deimos and to advance our fundamental understanding of these two moons of Mars.”

And in other news, Deimos has a butt crack

Perhaps we should take bets on whether those shadows conceal a valley or couple of hills.

Phobos and Deimos were useful proofs of concept for something bigger. Good source of raw material too.

Yes , the top pic is just an artists' conception.
The video contains the real stuff .

They should focus on the moon with an ocean of water under the crust. Maybe life is there.
