This is an interesting vid stating the five historical stages of civilization collapse, we are showing all five of the telltale signs. Because of the complicated interdependence of our particular society, the collapse debatably will be quite fast compared to the previous more agrarian ones. ones.No doubts they also had their elites who had vested interests in prolonging the status quo but they still hit the dust, as an observation interdependency seems to be the major criterion that sustains this one. When the interdependency breaks up so does the organizational structure. Which is what society actually is.

Change of weather . Nothing more needs to be said.

1. Climate Change (crop failure, drought, desertification)
2. Environmental Degradation (deforestation, pollution, loss of biodiversity)
3. Inequality Oligarchy (corruption, inequality and lack of morality basically)
4. Complexity (too complex to be viable, diminishing returns - EROI)
5. External Shocks (war, disaster, pandemics, etc.)

There are a myriad of reasons societies fail, but we only need to look at 1 that is too often present.

We have been repeatedly warned since the birth of our nation that our greatest enemy comes from within. It was and is up to the people to take back their liberty from the despots who rise to the top. If they do not, their way of life ceases to exist.

of the five listed the one that really sticks out to me is, Complexity.
several sayings come to mind for that.

keep it simple stupid
if it ain't broke don't fix it,
change for the sake of change is not always a good thing
new is not always better

and one cause that i feel that should have been included.

The depravity one needs more dissection. The chasing for the more intense sexual high is just the same as a drug addiction the returns seem to be diminishing as the excesses pile up. In fact, energy is being put into it at the exclusion of more sustainable goals. But either way, it is another sign, of people leading pointless lives. Chasing unsustainable dreams and the reality of getting nil or small rewards for their input. I guess finding out that porn was best kept in the closet and not opened up to become an industry might have been a better hindsight decision.

it's not just the sexual aspect, it the morality, uncaring, evil, and corruptness that comes from all classes in society,from the lowest to the highest. from those that became depraved because of, circumstance, from mental illness,that think it's ok if someone else is doing it, then it's ok for them to do it to, and then those that think they have so much power that they can do what ever they want and not suffer any repercussions. which we see is in fact the case for many of those in power.

i'm sure i missed some other examples, but i hope you can understand where i'm coming from with the ones i gave.

When individuals in a society become entirely self serving and abandon their community and morality, God is ousted and a man made, corrupt morality takes over.

The huge difference between previously fallen empires and our modern equivalent is that most things happened naturally. Climate has always changed, diseases have always emerged, oeople who had it easy gave always started crap or can't cope with hardship, wheras almost all of the above this time has been orchestrated.

There never was a pandemic, there is no climate change, especially not caused by anything humans did.
Hatred is manufactured by blending unbendable people together and treating newcomers better than natives.
That's not how you endear each other.
Quite the planned opposite.
Never in history has there been such large movement of incompatible cultures ever. It was never needed.

The dissassembly of cherished behaviour, such as families, keeping kids away from sexual stuff, the rise of illogical beliefs, such as men can be women and vice versa.

I am anti religion, but it seems most people have so little integrity, they need a threat to behave. So it kinda works on the sheeple, as long as they don't take it too far and burn me at a stake or blow me up, just because I lead an adult life whete I hold myself responsible.

They now actively destroy food to make it scarse.
