Here is where the way to do so comes in. Put them in prison for betraying their country. The sentence for doing so is Death.

Following or supporting a political ideology hardly amounts to betraying your nation but does amount to freedom of choice.

Then you give them a option to renounce their citizenship and be deported or die by execution.

Again deported to where?

If they are born in the USA the constitution guarantees them birthright or do you disagree?

POint is if you get them to RENOUNCE their citizenship its legal to deport a us born citizen.

I doubt that's the case at all.

And forcing people to renounce their citizenship under duress or pain of death would also be illegal far as i can establish in the extreme.

And where would that stop?

What happens if someone calls or alleges you to be a communist and you happen to get a taste of your own medicine?

Sometimes I think the republicans should stop voting and just let the democrats eat their own words and souls and win everywhere and the liberal democrats would wonder what in the world is going on and tear this country apart.. Just make it all blue everywhere then they will demand people to vote just to show how big the hypocrisy really is with liberal democrats in this country.

There must be a lot of people "itching" to participate in one.

A civil war is not needed. This 2022. Americans know who the traitors are and how to get rid of them. As former General Colin Powel said about Iraq...you cut off the head and the rest is easy.

Any civil war in the US, democrats will lose.

Half of these people rely off Gov handouts, thus can't even effectively house an feed themselves. The educated & Credentialed ones are ignorant of the realities of the world and maintain an ideological school girl approach to things.

Meanwhile, GOP is self sufficient, armed to the death and are extremely aware if their surroundings.

It would actually be very quick in my opinion.

I don't condone violence, this is hypothetical musings of a dystopic future here in the US should the Dems continue to cheat.

There would not be a full scale civil war.
What your more likely to see is akin to the Irish "Troubles" from 1960 to 1998.
Random acts of violence and bombings from extremists on both side of the fence.
Police and local sheriffs would be caught in the middle and most likely surfer the most casualties.
Any military involvement would be likely be National Guard for riot controls.
Bringing in regular army troops may lead another Bloody Sunday, Jan 30 1972, or Kent State.
Politicians would pass measures and laws out of desperation and frustration which would lead to more extremists reactions.
Most people would try to ignore most of it and get about their daily lives.
Unfortunately a huge economic downturn that prevents people from going to work
and feeding their family will further fuel the problem.
The French revolution and the Arab Spring happened because people could not longer afford bread.
Hungry people start picking sides.

IMHO we are already in a civil war. There won't be that many actual shots fired. Yet. There have been politically motivated murders in the country already. See the antifa riots and other acts.
People are not being murdered or killed in a military fashion here. However if you express a view on social media you will be killed, read cancelled. If you write a book that the socialists do not like they will not allow it to be sold on the large on line retailers, see Amazon. Books aren't burned in the town square for all to see in this type of warfare. But banning a book on large retailers and ostracizing the author is a new form of book burning. Is it not. If you write an opinion for a newspaper that offends the left they will attack you relentlessly. See Tom Cotton NYT article.
If you have a different opinion then the socialists you will be declared a non person because the only correct opinion is is their opinion. I am old enough to remember when you could have an honest disagreement with someone and still be friends with them. You both just have a different way of solving the problem. No longer.
See the socialist response to the Barrington Declaration about Covid 19. They tried and are still trying to destroy these doctors who by the way were correct in the issues they brought up in their writing. See Dr Peter McCullough, because he was advocating a different treatment for covid they have taken his medical license away. For now.
Dave Chappell tells a joke they don't like and they try to ruin his career. They won't ruin him but others without his name recognition or popularity are at risk.
There are many more instances that could be named but you probably know more of them then me.

If we ever had a civil war, I sure hope it would be blue vs red. I’m not a proponent of population control, but I am a proponent of voluntary idiot control. I’m sick and f#n tired of this blue vs red identity politics bs. We really don’t need a second civil war. We need a second revolutionary war, but that can’t happen until the blue and red NPCs stop the govt worship.

I recently read an idea that there would be no civil war; but just a quick Revolution type coup by those with guns/weapons that decide they are protecting the American Constitution from domestic enemies, which are subverting and sabotaging America, and that elections which are being riddled with fraud have no chance of reforming the mess.
It might look like what some Germans tried to do with Hitler and the Nazi's in "Operation Valkyrie" in 1944, it failed but there were enough people in on it that it might have worked.

Everyone thinks that a civil war would be over quickly if it came down to liberals vs. conservatives fighting. But it wouldn’t, TPTB would bring in the U. N. Peacekeepers to bring everyone under submission. This isn’t Iraq or Afghanistan where the military industrial complex is milking a war for every bit of profit, an American civil war would be squashed with every weapon they can use. Remember the resident bragging about having tanks and bombers at his disposal.

Different type of sectarianism i take it you're alluding to all the same.

More of the political and/or cultural sorts as opposed to the religious type synonymous between Catholics and Protestants in days gone by.
