Putin has given his last warning, but we haven't heard it. The West according to Putin is being run by a Satanic cult. These are dangerous words as we have the suspicion that they might have some substance., but really don't want to hear them. It is plain that as he sees it, He will be doing God's work if the plans of the West are not rescinded, We all thought that he would use Nukes to end the campaign in Ukraine. Even a Known Liar Needs to Speak a Truth from Time to Time to Stay Relevant . Mr. Putin Knows this Well..........

Has anybody else noticed Putin is being egged on by an extreme orthadox priest who things Armageddon is the fulfilment of the prophecy of the bible. Maniacs. Its self defeating anyway as if it is predetermined we dont have free will after all so the bible contradicts itself. I dont care either way, worlds gone to #e anyway.

No , my Point Still being Collateral Damage to Non Combatants is Unexceptable . Seems NATO Does Not GAF about that . War is Hell , but it Also Must Have Rules to Protect the Uninvolved .

What kind of collateral Damage can a tank do compared to 1 or 2 DU rounds to take it out? As I said before one needs get it by inhalation or ingestion, and that is 99% from maybe a smoking tank that got blown up. Stay out of the smoke and you are good, but I don't really think civilians are crawling around a smoking tank that just got blown up do you?

Eating dirt with depleted uranium in it could be bad for you, and it will be in the soil a long time.

The solution to that is simple, don't eat the dirt, which sounds easy enough.

But I was sitting next to a man on an airplane one time, telling me how his family used to eat specially prepared dirt when he was growing up. I wondered if he was joking but he seemed so sincere. So after the flight I looked it up and it's really a thing, that both animals and some humans eat dirt sometimes, though I never have.

I don't know how widespread that practice is in Ukraine, but if they are doing it they need to stop or at least make sure the dirt is not from battlefields where there might be depleted uranium.

* Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov stated on March 27 that Ukrainian forces may be planning to launch a counteroffensive in April or May depending on weather conditions.

* Russian forces conducted limited ground attacks along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line.

* Russian forces continued offensive operations in and around Bakhmut and along the Avdiivka-Donetsk City front.

Depleted uranium is low risk. High risk to Russians to tanks. The quantity of ammunition and the intended target should not cause collateral damage. More harm is all the chemicals and pollution from blown up tanks and vehicles. Ukraine will spend decades clearing up the mess Russia have made.

Unlike collateral damage from, Russian cluster munitions, anti-personnel mines, missiles hitting civilians areas, blanket artillery destruction, phosphorus, thermobaric bombs, etc... These weapons are used casually and doctrinally, and cause massive collateral damage and harm. You cannot escape the scale of destruction caused by Russia. It's obscene.

Is rape and extrajudicial murder and torture of Ukrainian civilians also "collateral" damage?

HEAT (all caps) doesn't melt tank armor. The Wiki article you referenced correctly states,

they rely on the kinetic energy of the explosively formed jet (EFP) for their penetration performance

HEAT is good against some armor and not so good against other kinds of armor. Most MBT frontal armor today can survive a hit with a HEAT projectile. Same cannot be said about DU projectiles. HEAT projectiles are also typically not as accurate as kinetic projectiles, particularly at long range.

There -are- uses for HEAT warheads in the Ukraine war, such as Javelin missiles attacking the top armor of tanks, but nothing beats DU for penetration which is why it is useful for situations where a tank's frontal armor must be engaged.

All that said, I think tungsten projectiles would also work well at typical combat ranges in Ukraine.
