Seen 'Bear Grylls Meets President Zelenskyy'?
Watch it here on All 4: www.channel4.com...

So, Ex Special forces Bear Grylls meets Zelensky.

A long watch but reveals so much.

He goes through Ukraine, witnessing the destruction wrought upon their towns and cities and interviews the man himself.

A good view.

Apparently they accused him of trying to poison Zelensky with a chocolate bar

what ?

12:48PM Bear Grylls' chocolate turned down by Zelensky's team over poisoning fears Volodymyr Zelensky's security team pounced on some chocolate offered to him by Bear Grylls over fears the survival expert could have been trying to poison the Ukrainian President, writes Verity Bowman.

Grylls offered Mr Zelensky square of Cadburys to “break the ice” during their first meeting during a trip to Ukraine to film a new documentary - but the president’s security team were not pleased. They refused the offering in case Grylls, 48, was trying to assassinate Mr Zelensky. "I get it," Grylls told Good Morning Britain on Monday as he discussed his new Channel 4 documentary 'Bear Grylls Meets President Zelensky'. "Normally when I've done this before with world leaders, the wild does half my job for me - it's a great leveller. It's a great ice-breaker - you're out in the mountains."

"Near abroad" ?

Didn't colonialism go out of style 60 to 70 years ago ?

Cheers

Certainly not in Russia
or most of the world. As far as I'm concerned nothing changed in most so called post colonial states bar the natives were given the impression they controlled the destiny of their so called made up nations

and how do you know what the Ukrainian people really think when their military is western controlled and supplied while their state has been hijacked by a STRATFOR orchestrated plot in 2014

Probably because they are having their cities and towns being flattened, indiscriminately by an invading army?

That sort of thing generally doesn't go down too well with most folk.

Not seeing Ukrainians exactly welcoming Russian invaders and throwing flowers at their armour?

I think your comment about what happened in 2014 is.....putting it politely...flawed?

The intervention of the UK and other allied powers in the Russian civil war was initially motivated to prevent Germany capturing piles of war matériel provided to the Russian post revolution. It was hardly an invasion.

Britain invaded pure and simple. Note our school books aren't full of this one as we got are backsides handed to us just like in Crimea, another British invasion of Russia.

Fact is Britain for 200 years has gone out of its way to destroy and dismember Russia and way it can, right to the present western meddling in their near abroad Ukraine.

Britain always was a meddling island obsessed in developing global influence and trade through state sponsored murder and occupation. That's the basis of our wonderous economy you know the one based on 'free trade'

The so called invasion began in 2014 through the western inspired plot to overthrow the elected government. Everything was fine before then.

What Poland to do with the Ukraine squabble? Poles were every now and then of their own nation, Ukraine is and was part of Moscow's orbit and contains many people that lean towards Russia even not considering the mass brainwashing of its citizens b6y the West

Huh, and here I thought this was going to be the deadliest European war since WWII.

But that wouldn’t make sense, because it would mean Ukrainians are fighting a Russian invasion. And as you just told me, Ukraine likes Russia, and the west just makes it seem like they don’t.

Words in my mouth
nope no good. All you spout is western generated MSM garbage. You've been brainwashed just like all those 'interventions' played out by the West previously in their campaign to take over the world

Well, you're right on one thing; it can be argued that it did start in 2014 when Putin decided to ignore The Budapest Memorandum and invaded Crimea.

But even before that he was funding Ultra-Nationalist Russian Militia's to provoke, attack and terrorise Ukrainian people and government interests throughout Luhansk and Donetsk.
Yes, there was an at times brutal response from the Ukrainian government but that wouldn't have happened if those Militia's were not operating with instructions and funding from The Kremlin.

And none of that goes to answer the other points I replied to you.

According to this video, Russia fired another general again, this time the one in charge of southern Ukraine forces.

28 Mar: NICE. Russians FIRE THEIR GENERAL FOR CATASTROPHIC INCOMPETENCE | War in Ukraine Explained

It seems like some of the Russian command problems are systemic, and that firing generals is just a way to assign blame away from the real problems. The WIU (War In Ukraine) youtube channel has claimed that no matter which general they put in charge, the problems with Russian command are still going to be there, and apparently some people seem to think the new general in charge might be even worse than the one who was "fired" (or is it just a long vacation? In the middle of a war?)
