The testing is interesting. With my husband being so ill I decided to have us tested for antibodies. I had all the best of the best but oddly he did not have any. I had him tested 3 times. No antibodies. He has now caught it 4 times maybe 5. I am still symptom free. Each time he gets it though it is much less severe. Nothing like the first round.
Something does not add up here. How can someone keep catching it, testing positive and have no antibodies. Granted the tests are suspect but still.

The only reason that he recovered in October was that he was finally given a therapeutic. His long haul would probably be less severe if he had been treated earlier rather than waiting 9+ months.

Monday morning with body aches and that taste in your throat of a cold coming on. So I went and got tested.

For gods sake WHY? Do you get tested every time you have a sniffle?

This is ridiculous. I will never, ever get tested for that garbage, just like I've never been tested for the flu... or a cold.

because my son tested positive, and I don't want to spread this around to others.

We are probably an anomaly. We were at ground zero in New York City early January 2020. We came home and my husband came down with it. The Dr. said it was just a virus. It was really bad. He sounded like he had pneumonia. He almost didn't make it. He came down with sepsis, a staff infection, was hospitalized, operated on. His Dr. convinced him to get a Pneumonia shot so of course he caught pneumonia. He finally recovered somewhat in October.
He has been left with severe long haul.
During this entire time the Dr. kept harassing him to get the jab despite his serious allergies to the ingredients. Throwing caution to the wind the doc said who cares.
Meanwhile I did not have any symptoms, thank goodness, so that I could look after him.
It has been a long two years.

Not sure if this will help your husband but look up treatment for Chinese Dampness in the Body. Sorry I know a lot of people aren't too fond of the Chinese because of Covid, but a lot of their traditional treatments are actually quite effective. (at least for me).

But you're ok with spreading the flu around to others?

See my point?

I was sore AF all over. But I just spent 3 days golfing and drinking. Being sore AF sounded like a logical way to feel after that kind of weekend. My son was sick all weekend, but powered through to play golf since he took leave, and paid a grand to come see me and play. When he got back to base, he went to sick call. He got tested and was positive. He called me. A few hours after that, had a strange taste in my mouth, but that could be anything, maybe a cold. So I called my wife. She then organized testing from our doctor, whom she used to work for and is friends with, and we went. She needs to know her status for her current job. Later that day, I started feeling a little worse and I could feel the fatigue and a slight cough. So I wouldn't go into public like that, regardless of any testing. But since I did test, and I do know, the rule of thumb currently is 5 days away from folks. So I plan to not go around my customers until next week. If I feel better tomorrow, I do have some work I can do where people aren't involved.

see my point?

No...

Does your wife's employer allow people to come to work sick, only unless it is covid? Does your wife knowingly go to work when she's sick as long as a test that is highly prone to false positives and negatives says she doesn't have covid?

You got this old timer !! I got he Wuhan flu a year ago. Not vaxxed. I had a fever of 104 for ten days. No other symptoms. Had it come every day for 10 days the same time, every day. Then I had better senses like taste smell and eye sight afterwards. I came out like Captain America !!! Please keep us updated on how you are doing.

You just got the 4 pills to take at once? Not a course over several days?

I hope you feel better fast!

Other things to think about trying: Black or green tea, nasal sanitization, germ killing gargle, low-dose aspirin if appropriate for you, black seed oil, olive leaf extract, tonic water with quinine...lol...I'll stop now..

I told her what I wrote here and she just shook her head. She did tell me I look much better today, than I did yesterday.
I told her I put on my sexy underware today, and I'm glad she noticed.

You need to have a relapse, or she'll have you doing dishes before the day's over!

Slept well last night, I have to keep the Mucinex D's going to stop the drainage, but other than that, I feel good. I'd say 90-95%. That isn't to say that Ivermectin cured me, but either I got the super mild version, or it helped a lot.

I thought the 4 pills at once was odd too, but they said ivermectin on the tabs, and I even kept the prescription bottle.
Doctor also suggested vitamin c, zinc, vitamin D3, and aspirin. I have been taking all that as well, and we do gummi vitamins each morning. (airborne, vitamin C, and multi vitamin for old folks)

Started feeling better yesterday, and today is better than that. I may be able to get some things done with this time off.

I finally got it at the beginning of March. I felt like # for two days, body aches, no energy, throat felt like sand paper, terrible headache and my nose ran like a tap.

I didn't take anything for it, just fluids and some Tylenol. Three days later, I started to feel a lot better. The energy levels took about a week to come back.

You'll be fine dude, you're to cantankerous to get knocked down by the 'vid I reckon. Remember, we ain't kids no more brother, take care of yourself.

thanks brother. I do feel better knowing that the golf alone didn't kick my ass this bad.
My son had your symptoms, he said his throat felt like he was swallowing glass. I have had sore throats like that, and don't want that again.

If I'd have known I would live this long, I might have taken better care of my body.

My sister got the vid end of Sept & had a mild case but she was following the FLCCC
protocol & took Ivermectin (should have been more than 1 to 2x a wk) + the Vits, zinc & etc.

She got the vid again I think in Jan. She works at a prison & they have been having
so many rounds of covid for a year maybe? This time the doctor offered her the AB
treatment & she followed the FLCCC protocol again but took the Ivermectin more
often like they recommend & she only had a mild case. So this time we hope it was
the Omicron.
Neither of us are jabbed & it sucks that every person I know took the jab & boosters.
Me dear friend is coming to visit in 2 wks & I am worried about the spike shedding.
We are 20 yrs apart & is a 81 yr old diabetic, took the moderna 2 jabs & the booster.
I am thinking & praying that the VA gave the placebo.

Also I hoping by following the FLCCC protocol & maybe taking Ivermectin on the few days
we will be together will prevent or at least help with any shedding issues.

Glad you are feeling better mate!!!

Cheers
Ektar

Edit to add Re Ivermectin, a mate took me to the hospital for hernia sx & p/u 1pm
& brought me home. This was Mon 29 Nov 2021 & on Tue he got sicker than hell with
the rona! I had not been out anywhere since March 2020, did curbside p/u & etc.
I rode in the backseat with a P100 mask & I have been taking the Ivermectin 2x a wk
as a preventative & I did not get sick.
