Extra DIV

What is this that keeps coming up in posts. I tried to edit it out to no effect.

I looked at your example as though I was going to edit it and saw that there is a Quote Wormhole going on in which you have quoted a post that quoted another post and the site does display such wormholes anymore.

It may have noted it by saying Extra DIV for the divisor that wasn’t going to be displayed. A heads up that there is more to the post than what is posted.

Not an OFFICIAL answer, but an educated guess. And anyone could see it by starting to quote the post and rereading it so no special mod powers required.

Strange.
Copy paste to the quote box then enter just went blank on the post page.

After a couple goes, it worked.

Tried on another thread and it posted a blank spot.

Stranger things have happened. Now the page 5 upload issue... still.

All I can say is that it's not a new thing, so it's not an example of "the current state of the site". I've seen it very occasionally for years, sometimes after editing a post. It seems to be an accidental side-effect of some quirky process in the software. One of those oddities that never got fixed.
