Is Ukraine President Volodymyr trying to get U.S. Officials killed? Or, does he have an over-the-top view of his importance, like U.S. NIH Director, Anthony Fauci? Or, has "someone" assure him that nobody he meets with is in any danger? Or, is Zelenskyy simply naive?

Two top U.S. officials will head to Kyiv on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday at a news conference.

Zelenskyy, who took questions from Ukranian and international media for more than an hour Saturday, said he will hold talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin as they travel to Ukraine's capital city.

Liberal media criticized Zelenskyy today for violating the normal protocol of not describing a meeting with high-level officials meeting in a War Zone, until after the meeting has concluded, and the officials have departed.

But as they do with Anthony Fauci, the media found excuses during their on-air discussions to explain why Zelenskyy may have made an honest mistake. Or, someone else goofed.

I think it’s more of a PLEASE TARGET US!!! thing. Blinken and Austin go bye bye, here comes the US.

All this is irrelevant though. It’s been talked about publicly for at least 3 days now. The city to meet and the day to meet.

The Pentagon earlier in the week stated no meetings had been planned for him in Kiev.

There are two possible outcomes if they stick to announced schedule. If Putin wants WWIII, then he knows where to target and when. If he doesn't want an all out war, there will be no attacks there that day.

Shall we see who blinks first?

Is it me or do we have a load more politicians visiting active war zones than ever before?

it screams BS diplomatic theater, not to mention didn't Ron Brown take the bolt to the back of his head in the plane crash returning from a semi-dangerous diplomatic mission way back when?

No there won’t be any strikes there because of this. My thinking at least. Also probably why it’s been public knowledge a few days. Give Russia time and no excuse for an oops.

I saw Zelenskyy walking around outside with UK President Boris Johnson 2 weeks ago. They both seemed to be totally unconcerned about cruise missiles, space lasers, etc.. It was surreal!

Since Ukraine is 8 hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern time zone, its likely the meeting has already happened.

We're still here.

Maybe the "big stud weapons" Zelenskyy was to ask for, will be announced as approved tomorrow (Monday).

I didn't know that about Ron Brown, but Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said bullets bounced off the bullet-proof jacket she was sitting on, as her helicopter lifted off the ground in Libya.

As I pointed out in another thread, Russia has pulled their forces back from Kyiv and have redeployed exclusively in the East.

Looking at current maps, the closest Russian troops to Kyiv are deployed in Sumy, which is about 230 miles away.
