I’m not saying that Russia is any better in their own way.

Just pointing out that there is a lot of smoke and mirrors on both sides.

We have the choice of Putin and his Oligarchs, or the “New World Order” gang that a lot of ATS members were standing against a few weeks ago.

I have never attempted to either quantify or qualify the presence of Nazis in Ukraine. I have stated what I understand, I have posted a couple links to what has been reported, and I have specifically stated that the neo-Nazis are one piece in a much bigger puzzle.

What ? No i am not nazi far from it. This issue we are talking is just for realizing they seem to get inside military system in a way or another. And realize that there is nazis in every country. Putin said nazism is a big issue in Ukraine and Ukrainians are nazis but now i know there is a battalion of them.

Wait a moment, what about gender equality? Children for sure, their mothers too. But why have only men to fight and die while women of all kinds and ages flee in masses? No more loudly expressed gender equality desire anymore If the worst comes to the worst? Why does it work and is pretty normal in Israel but not in the Ukraine? First they all hate the old white men but if it comes to a war or whatever unpleasant situation, the old white men have to do the dirty work because women then suddenly are weak, vulnerable etc again. That was one of my thoughts when i got my daily dose of western propaganda via the liar presstitutes MSM. Why stops demanding of gender equality if the worst comes to the worst?

Next thing was pictures of train stations in the Ukraine, full of fleeing people. Most of them were men from 20 to 60. How can that be if they aren´t allowed to leave the Ukraine right now? And why don´t they fight for their nation when the Ukraine demands others, like the NATO and lots of german money, should do the work for them?

Why does it always have to be german tax payers money, why does nobody ever demand money from other EU members?

Why do most of the ukrainian refugees cross Poland right away and enter Germany, especially Berlin? Around 1500-2000 on a daily basis right now? There is no war in Poland too and one is as safe as in Germany,. But there also is no Hartz4 like in Germany.

Those that were strictly against any refugees and asylum seekers are now pro refugees. Becasue Putin is evil. And because now they are blond, blue eyed and this time there could really be some doctors and professors among these refugees. Doctors, professors, engineers etc Merkel promised in 2015.

And people like me, more "formerly known as left (in reality social)" leaning,who always were for helping others without asking too many questions, start to ask for the plan and profiteers behind such global chess moves. Because i really believe we all are massively fooled by some ultra-rich beings who think they are god-like and rule the world.

I’m not seeing what you are seeing. If anything I’m seeing that Americans don’t want to strike. We are war weary and don’t want to get involved. We can feel bad for the people getting killed on both sides.

Yes, Ukraine will have to address it later, if not sooner. I think the sticky widget here is that from all reports it is an self-described neo-Nazi group given official military status. Everyone expects extremists of all kinds will be part of any large group or organization, including the military.

And we have to remember that in war, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" has long held true... much like we allied with Russian during WWII to fight the Nazis, and as so many other nations have done since time immemorial!

A bit of history I recall makes me roll my eyes when I hear official Russian statements about neo-Nazis and the like. The Soviet army and KGB sat on East Germany for 45 years. To look at East Germany as it then existed, one would have thought, "man, those guys are fully communist". But, after the Soviets left, guess which part of Germany had the biggest problem with neo-Nazis?

Germany) ... or, perhaps, the Soviets really didn't care all that much, and what we hear now being trotted out by Putin's regime is a, er, "convenient" reawakening of the Russian government to the existence of neo-Nazi groups ... to the extent that it justifies an invasion of another Slavic country.

Could be. I've been leaning toward Russia making a mountain out of a molehill, based on a few isolated incidents that have indeed happened, but are not the major incidents or overall threat that Russia wants the world to believe.

As I mentioned in another ATS thread about this very topic, this stuff gets tedious quickly because none of it is cut and dried.

I'm not sure if "tedious" is the right word for what I'm thinking... more like an exercise in futility, as we cannot quantify or qualify their presence, nor their influence, nor pretty much anything. Time will tell, but for now there's no virtue in denying their presence, but there is no virtue in magnifying their presence either. It just is.

Unfortunately, this isn't helped by the public's overall disdain and distrust for political critters and Big Media.

Well no worries then. Of course Putin is making the most of what he can... "propaganda"... with whatever truths he has, even if they're just scraps. For all I know, there was one drunken brawl between one Azoz soldier and a Russian soldier and that's all he's working with. For all I know, there's far more. What I do know is that there is such a presence in the Ukraine military. I cannot quantify it or qualify further, and at this point, I'm not trying.

To the best of my knowledge, I have not read any Russian sources. I have read lots of reports from lots of sources,
both from recently and going back years. As I recall, Azoz was formed around the time of the 2014 conflict -- either immediately before or after it started -- and was instrumental in fighting Russia then as well.

Acknowledging their existence -- which no one seems to outright deny -- is not stepping off a cliff. If/when I pretend to know enough to quantify/qualify their existence, then I'll have a problem.
